  • 282| How Nick Escaped the Performance Trap to Hear God Clearly 17.09.2026 21мин
Nick had spent a year and a half praying, studying Scripture, and doing everything he knew to hear God clearly. But instead of finding clarity, he felt exhausted, confused, and afraid that God had given up on him. During this live coaching session, God revealed that Nick had unknowingly turned spiritual disciplines into spiritual performance—and believed the outcome depended on him. Key Takeaways Spiritual disciplines can become performance when I use them to earn an answer from God. Trying harder is not always the answer when I still feel confused or stuck. Performance, perfectionism, and pride can place responsibility on me that belongs to God. Grace is a free gift I receive through faith—not a reward for doing everything perfectly. My responsibility is to hear God, obey what He shows me, and trust Him with the outcome. The pressure I'm carrying may be a signal that there is a deeper belief God wants to reveal. Listen now and hear the moment Nick says it feels like a "1,000-pound gorilla" has lifted as he releases the pressure to perform and receives God's grace. Prayer: God, show me where I have turned my relationship with You into performance. Forgive me for believing everything depends on how hard I work. I release the pressure to strive, receive Your grace, and trust You with the outcome. In Jesus' name, amen. Declaration: I do not have to earn the voice or attention of my Father. I will obey God, trust His grace, and leave the outcome in His hands. NEXT STEPS 👉 Explore all my resources, freebies, and programs here: https://linktr.ee/healwithgodpodcast
  • 281| Still Stuck After Prayer? Biblical Healing Through Hearing God's Voice with Beatty Carmichael 10.09.2026 37мин
Prayer is powerful, but sometimes we keep praying the same prayer at a symptom without understanding what God may be revealing beneath it. When the struggle remains, it can leave us discouraged, confused, and wondering whether we are doing something wrong spiritually. In Episode 279, I'm sharing my conversation with Beatty Carmichael about hearing God's voice during the healing process. We talk about why Christians can love God, pray faithfully, and still feel stuck—and why needing another person's perspective does not mean you lack faith. Key Takeaways Why remaining stuck is not proof that prayer failed Two ways to test whether you are hearing God How a symptom can reveal a deeper emotional or spiritual need Why we cannot always recognize the root from inside the struggle How identity, fear, agreements, and unforgiveness can affect healing Why one clear next step can be more helpful than another checklist Listen now and consider whether the struggle you have been trying to silence may be pointing toward something God wants to help you understand. Declaration: My struggle is not my identity. I am loved by God and learning to recognize His voice as He leads me toward truth, clarity, and healing. • 280| 4 Biblical Ways God Speaks That Most Christians Overlook for Inner Healing 03.09.2026 19мин
You can know the Bible, love God, and still feel unsure about what He is saying to you personally. That uncertainty does not mean you are failing spiritually. God may already be speaking through Scripture, nature, dreams, other people, or ordinary moments—but you may be overlooking what He is doing within them. In this episode, I share June's story from the Heal with God Signature Program and how learning to recognize God's voice more tangibly helped her deepen her trust in Him, understand her identity, steady her emotions, and find the courage to move forward. Key Takeaways Recognize four purposes in God's communication: teaching, correction, preparation, and equipping Understand why God's loving correction is different from condemnation Notice repeated themes without forcing an immediate interpretation Move from simply hearing truth to responding with one faithful step Replace "I don't hear God" with the identity of someone learning His voice Listen now and ask God which of these four purposes He may already be using in your everyday life. Scripture: 2 Timothy 3:16-17; John 10:27 Prayer: God, open my awareness to the ways You are teaching, correcting, preparing, and equipping me. Help me recognize Your voice, test what I hear against Scripture, and respond with trust. Declaration: I am not spiritually defective. I am learning to recognize the voice of my Shepherd. God is not withholding Himself from me. NEXT STEPS 👉 Explore all my resources, freebies, and programs here: https://linktr.ee/healwithgodpodcast
  • 279| How I Overcame Depression with 2 Biblical Healing Practices 27.08.2026 17мин
For seven years, I lived with depression without ever asking why I was sad in the first place. I cried myself to sleep, woke from a dead sleep to vomit, and eventually accepted that this was simply how life was going to be. But as I began pursuing Jesus, taking communion, and paying attention to what He was doing around me, my mind was slowly being retrained. In this episode, I'm sharing the two Biblical healing practices that helped me stop rehearsing what pain had done and begin remembering what Jesus had done—and was still doing. KEY TAKEAWAYS Why depression can keep pulling your attention back toward painful memories How to recognize what your mind has been rehearsing without shaming yourself Why communion is a practical way to remember Jesus' finished work How Biblical, shared, and personal testimonies can strengthen hope Why taking thoughts captive is simple, but requires intentional practice How supported walking out can help when information alone has not changed the pattern Listen now, then ask God to show you what your mind has been rehearsing and which testimony of His faithfulness you need to remember today. Scripture: "They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony." — Revelation 12:11 Prayer: Jesus, thank You that what happened to me does not get the final word. Show me what my mind has been rehearsing, and bring Your faithfulness back to my remembrance. Help me take every thought captive and walk in the freedom You have already made possible. Amen. Declaration: I am not defined by depression or by what happened to me. I am an overcomer through Jesus, and I will train my attention toward truth and hope. • 278| Shame Doesn't Get to Name You After Betrayal with Kristina Joy 20.08.2026 27мин
Betrayal can do more than break trust. It can make you question your worth, your identity, your ability to hear God, and whether healing is actually possible for you. In this episode, Heather talks with Kristina Joy about healing after betrayal, rebuilding safety with Jesus, and learning how to stop letting shame name who you are. This conversation is for the Christian who has been hurt, hidden, or emotionally guarded and still wonders why they feel stuck after praying, forgiving, or trying to move forward. You are not who betrayal told you you were. You are still loved, still seen, and still invited into freedom with Jesus. You'll gain: A clearer understanding of how shame attaches itself to betrayal Language for the lies betrayal can create around your identity Encouragement for healing with Jesus without hiding or self-punishment Insight into why safety matters in emotional and spiritual healing A first step for bringing shame into the light without condemnation Listen now and connect with Kristina Joy through her podcast, Intimacy After Infidelity: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/intimacy-after-infidelity-cut-contact-rebuild-trust/id1691443054 Scripture: Romans 8:1 says, "So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus." Prayer: Jesus, thank You that shame does not get to name me. Show me where betrayal has shaped the way I see myself, others, or You. Lead me into truth, safety, and healing. Help me receive Your love in the places I have wanted to hide. Amen. Declaration: I am not who betrayal told me I was. I belong to Jesus. • 277| How Keenan Found the Root of His Anger Outbursts by Hearing God 13.08.2026 26мин
Anger can feel like the whole problem when it's the thing coming out of your mouth, affecting your relationships, and leaving you regretting how you responded. In this episode, I'm letting you listen in on Keenan's real live coaching from a Heal with God Workshop as we slow down, ask God questions, and follow the anger somewhere Keenan had never fully connected before. In this episode, you'll hear: Why Keenan came into coaching wanting freedom from anger outbursts The childhood connection that surfaced as he talked about feeling unheard The moment anger led deeper into loneliness, worth, and identity What Keenan recognized about depending on other people's opinions The prayer and declarations that helped him reconnect with his identity in God Why Keenan ended the coaching feeling more free, peaceful, and secure in God's heart Listen now and consider whether the symptom you've been fighting may be pointing toward something deeper God wants to help you see. Declaration: I am a child of God. I am not abandoned. I am not alone. My struggle is not my identity. My identity comes from God. • 276| 4 Ways to Heal Your Marriage as a Christian Without Waiting for Your Spouse to Change 06.08.2026 23мин
Marriage can quietly become frustrating when you feel like you are the only one trying to grow, heal, communicate, or change. I know how easy it is to start focusing on everything your spouse is not doing. But sometimes the first place God wants to bring healing is not in their heart. It is in ours. In this episode, I am sharing four ways to heal your marriage as a Christian without waiting for your spouse to change. We are talking about unmet needs, expectations, forgiveness, judgment, and what happens when we accidentally make our spouse responsible for giving us something only God can fully provide. Key Takeaways Why your spouse can be a vessel God uses, but cannot become your source of peace, joy, love, or security How to recognize when you are waiting for your spouse to heal before giving yourself permission to heal Why disappointment often points to hidden expectations, comparison, or a fantasy of what marriage "should" look like How words like "always" and "never" may reveal unforgiveness and judgments you have been collecting A simple way to ask God what He wants to heal in your own heart instead of constantly diagnosing your spouse Why forgiving quickly can protect your heart from bitterness and emotional distance Listen now and ask God one honest question: What are You showing me about my heart in my marriage? Declaration: God, You said Jesus is the cornerstone. Therefore, I am built on Jesus, and I will receive my love, peace, joy, and security from You. I will forgive quickly, release judgments, and let You lead my healing. NEXT STEPS 👉 Explore all my resources, freebies, and programs here: https://linktr.ee/healwithgodpodcast
  • 275| How to Hear God's Voice Clearly in 4 Steps for Biblical Healing 30.07.2026 13мин
You may feel like God is silent when you pray, especially when you're trying your hardest to hear Him clearly. That tension can create confusion, self-doubt, and the belief that something is wrong with your ability to hear God. But often, the issue isn't silence—it's recognition. In this episode, I share a simple but powerful shift in how hearing God actually works. Through a real-life moment watching birds feed and a coaching breakthrough inside the Heal with God Workshop, you'll see how God often speaks in patterns, awareness, and subtle clarity rather than obvious answers. You'll also learn a 4-step process to begin recognizing His voice more clearly and consistently in your everyday life. Key Takeaways: Feeling like God is silent often comes from misunderstanding how He speaks Hearing God is a learned awareness, not a spiritual "ability you either have or don't" God often speaks through repetition, impressions, Scripture alignment, and peace You can train your awareness by slowing down and asking intentional questions Discernment is what turns hearing into clarity and direction Application is where trust in God actually becomes healing Listen now and begin learning how to recognize God's voice with clarity instead of confusion. • 274| The Power of Forgiveness for Christian Healing with Kathleen Johnson 23.07.2026 21мин
Forgiveness can feel tender, especially when you've already prayed about the same pain for years and still feel the sting of what happened. In this conversation, I'm sitting down with Kathleen Johnson to talk about the power of forgiveness for Christian healing—not as a religious phrase, not as pretending it didn't hurt, and not as forcing yourself to trust someone who hasn't rebuilt trust. Kathleen shares how unforgiveness can become a block in our spiritual, emotional, mental, and even physical healing. We talk about what forgiveness is, what it is not, and why releasing unforgiveness can open the door for God to reach the wound we've been trying so hard to protect. Key Takeaways: Forgiveness is not the same as trust Forgiveness does not mean giving up on justice Forgiveness does not mean what happened was okay Unforgiveness can keep us tied to the person or pain we're trying to move past God can heal in layers, even when the process takes longer than we expected When God heals us, our story can become part of how we help someone else heal too Kathleen's resources: Kathleen Johnson Ministries https://kathleenjohnsonministries.com Scripture Girl https://scripturegirl.com Healed to Heal Podcast https://healedtohealpodcast.com Listen now and ask God if there is any place where unforgiveness has been acting like protection, but is actually keeping the wound closed off from His healing. • 273| Why You Can't Stay Consistent (Shawna's Breakthrough with Biblical Healing) 16.07.2026 17мин
I've noticed that a lot of people can feel like they've already dealt with something in their life, but it keeps showing up again in different forms. When that happens, it's easy to assume something is wrong with you or that you're not actually making progress. But often what's really happening is that there's still something deeper underneath the surface that hasn't been fully seen yet. In this episode from a Heal with God workshop, I walk through a real coaching moment with Shawna where her cycle of inconsistency was exposed at the root level. What looked like a discipline issue was actually tied to something internal around what feels safe when change begins to take place. Key Takeaways: Inconsistency is often not about discipline, but about internal beliefs that get activated when change starts happening When something in me feels unsafe about growth or change, I may unknowingly pull back into old patterns God often uses repeated cycles in my life to reveal something deeper that needs attention, not to condemn me Awareness of what's happening beneath the behavior brings clarity and breaks the cycle of shame Healing happens at the root level, not just through trying harder to change the outward behavior Listen now and reflect on where I may be seeing repeated patterns in my life that are actually pointing me toward something God wants to heal more deeply within me. Scripture, Prayer & Declaration "God, You said You search my heart and know my ways. Therefore I am and I will allow You to reveal what is beneath the surface so I can walk in truth, peace, and freedom. I am and I will trust You with what You are uncovering and let You heal what I cannot fix on my own." • 272| Why Biblical Declarations Bring Healing When Affirmations Don't 09.07.2026 20мин
If affirmations have ever made you feel worse instead of better, you may not be the problem. You may just be missing the pimentos. In this episode, Heather shares the difference between affirmations and biblical declarations — and why positive self-talk may give a temporary boost, but still leave the root untouched. Using a funny story about accidentally making pimento cheese without the pimentos, Heather explains why affirmations can sound good but still miss the most important ingredient: the Word of God. You'll learn why biblical declarations are not just Christian affirmations, how God's Word becomes the sword of the Spirit, and why hidden identity lies like "God heals people… but me" need truth with authority. If you've ever said, "I am enough," "I am confident," or "I am loved," but still felt anxious, ashamed, rejected, or stuck afterward — this episode will help you stop blaming yourself and start asking what God says instead. Scriptures mentioned: Ephesians 6:17 John 17:17 Isaiah 55:11 John 6:63 Prayer + Declaration: God, Your Word is truth. Your Word will not return void. Your words are spirit and life. Show me where I have agreed with fear, shame, rejection, striving, or "but me." I repent for believing I am the problem or the exception to Your truth. I receive Your Word as truth over my life. I am not too broken. I am not the exception. I am not the "but me." Your Word is working in me, even when I cannot feel it yet. I will take up the sword of the Spirit, declare Your truth, and walk it out with You. NEXT STEPS 👉 Explore all my resources, freebies, and programs here: https://linktr.ee/healwithgodpodcast

  • 269| Is Hidden Burnout Making It Hard to Hear God's Voice? with Dr. Ioana Popa 18.06.2026 31мин
You may not realize you are burning out because you are still getting things done. Hidden burnout can look like constantly running behind, struggling to relax, getting sick as soon as vacation begins, scrolling long after you meant to go to bed, or feeling mentally foggy when you try to hear God. It is not always caused by a demanding career either. Motherhood, caregiving, ministry, emotional pain, and continually saying yes can place the same kind of stress on your body. In this conversation, physician psychiatrist and Christian educator Dr. Ioana Popa explains why burnout can remain hidden while you still feel productive. We talk about how chronic stress affects your body, mind, emotions, and connection with God, and why slowing down is not selfish, lazy, or a failure. You'll learn: How to recognize the subtle signs of hidden burnout before you completely crash Why brain fog, confusion, and emotional overload can make hearing God's voice feel harder How sleep, water, movement, stillness, and daily recovery help your nervous system reset Why Christian helpers may feel guilty setting boundaries or caring for themselves How to create small, consistent rhythms of renewal that are simple enough to maintain Dr. Ioana reminds us that the goal is not to begin another overwhelming routine. Start with the smallest rhythm you can consistently repeat, even if that means sitting quietly with God for only three minutes. Scripture "Jesus often withdrew to the wilderness for prayer." Luke 5:16 NLT Jesus did not respond to every need by continually pushing Himself harder. He intentionally withdrew, rested, prayed, and reconnected with the Father. Prayer Father, show me where I have mistaken constant productivity for faithfulness. Help me recognize the signals my body, soul, and spirit have been sending. Release me from guilt when I need to rest, say no, or create space to be with You. Quiet the noise within me so I can recognize Your voice, receive Your peace, and serve from renewal instead of exhaustion. In Jesus' name, amen. Declaration God, You said that Jesus often withdrew to pray. Therefore, I am allowed to slow down, and I will create space to rest and hear Your voice. I do not have to earn Your love through exhaustion. Heather, you are allowed to rest, and you will live and serve from the peace of God. Panic attacks can feel overwhelming, and sometimes we believe that the only way to respond is through silent obedience. In this episode, Heather O'Brien teaches you how to use a spiritual warfare kit to calm your body, ask God bold questions, and listen to what's being held inside without fear or shame. This episode is for any Christian who has experienced panic, anxiety, or racing thoughts and wonders if God can still speak in the chaos. • 267| Can't Stop Cussing When You're Angry? Biblical Healing When You Feel Out of Control 11.06.2026 26мин
What if the outburst is not your identity, but a signal? In this vulnerable solo episode, I'm sharing the struggle I usually kept vague: cussing when anger felt like it took over. If you've ever had words come out of your mouth and wondered, "What is wrong with me?" this episode will help you see the moment differently. We'll talk about biblical healing, shame, confession, control, and hearing God's voice beneath the reaction so you can stop only managing the symptom and start asking God for the root. In this episode, you'll learn: Why the outburst is a signal, not your identity How shame keeps hidden struggles alive Why control can hide under anger Why old feelings returning does not mean you lost your freedom Scriptures: Luke 6:45 James 5:16 2 Timothy 1:7 2 Corinthians 10:5 Prayer: God, show me what is really underneath the anger. Reveal where fear, shame, control, or old wounds have been influencing my reactions. Help me hear Your voice, receive biblical healing, and walk in power, love, and a sound mind. • 266| How Denise Found Biblical Healing from Anger After Betrayal 08.06.2026 28мин
What if the anger you keep trying to manage is not actually the root? In this live coaching episode from a previous Heal with God Workshop, I coach Denise through anger connected to betrayal, divorce, custody pain, and family wounds. At first, anger seemed like the main issue. But as we slowed down, listened to God, and asked Spirit-led questions, the deeper root began to surface. Denise realized her anger was connected to fear. Not just fear in general, but fear of not being in control, especially when it came to protecting her children from more pain. Then God revealed another layer: shame and condemnation. Through healing with prayer and declaring biblical truth out loud, Denise was able to separate herself from shame and receive the truth that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. This episode is for the Christian who has prayed, forgiven, tried to move on, and tried to keep it together, but still feels anger, anxiety, or a fight response rising in the body. You are not your symptom. Your symptom may be a signal. And God may be using that signal to lead you into deeper biblical healing. In this episode, you'll hear: How anger can point to a deeper root underneath the surface Why your body may go into fight mode after betrayal or emotional pain How hearing God's voice can reveal the real issue beneath the symptom Why shame and condemnation are not your identity in Christ How healing with prayer becomes clearer when you stop praying only at the symptom Featured Scripture: Romans 8:1 "So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus." Psalm 139:23-24 "Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life." Prayer: God, show me what is really underneath the thing I keep trying to manage. Search my heart. Reveal the fear, shame, grief, or false belief that I have not known how to name. Help me stop calling my symptom my identity. Lead me into truth, healing, and freedom through Jesus. Amen.   Declaration: God, You said there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. Therefore, I am forgiven, loved, and free from shame. I will not partner with shame as my identity. I will listen for Your voice and follow You into healing. Heather, you are forgiven, loved, and free from shame. You will not partner with shame as your identity. You will hear God clearly, heal deeply, and walk in the resurrection power of Jesus. • 265| Is Your Symptom a Signal? Discernment for Body, Soul, and Spirit Healing 04.06.2026 25мин
Your symptom may not be your identity. It may be a signal. Have you ever had a symptom that kept showing up and wondered, "What is wrong with me?" Maybe it's anxiety, exhaustion, stomach issues, panic, emotional shutdown, intrusive thoughts, or that constant feeling that something bad is about to happen. In this episode, Heather shares how discernment can help you stop shaming the symptom and start asking God what it may be revealing. Through Mackenzie's Heal with God testimony, you'll hear how one hidden root belief affected her emotions, relationships, spiritual life, and even her body until God exposed the lie and brought freedom. This episode is for the Christian who loves God but feels frustrated by symptoms that do not seem to go away, even after praying, trying harder, or doing all the "right" things. You'll gain: A simple way to ask God if a symptom is connected to body, soul, spirit, or all three Hope that your symptoms are not proof you are broken beyond healing Discernment for recognizing when a physical reaction may be connected to a deeper belief A practical prayer to help you stop blaming yourself and start hearing God for the root A fresh identity reminder that you are not your anxiety, fear, diagnosis, or body's reaction Scripture: 1 Thessalonians 5:23 says, "Now may the God of peace make you holy in every way, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ comes again." Prayer: God, You are the God of peace, and You care about my whole spirit, soul, and body. Show me what is a symptom and what is the root. Help me stop shaming myself for what I do not yet understand. Give me discernment to know whether this is connected to my body, my soul, my spirit, or all three. Lead me into truth, healing, and freedom with You. In Jesus' name, amen. Declaration: God, You said You care about my whole spirit, soul, and body. Therefore, I am not my symptom. I am Your child. I will stop partnering with shame. I will ask You for discernment, listen for Your voice, and let You reveal the root so I can heal with You. Have you ever prayed, declared Scripture, gone to counseling, tried to renew your mind, and still wondered, "Why am I not free yet?" In this episode, I'm joined by Beatty Carmichael, author of The Prayer of Freedom, for a powerful conversation about finding freedom by addressing the spiritual roots underneath anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic pain, addiction, and the cycles that keep showing up even when you love Jesus. Beatty shares a simple picture of the body, soul, and spirit connection, describing our lives like a three-legged stool. When the spiritual side is out of alignment, it can place stress on the mental and physical parts of our lives. That's why outside effort alone often does not fix an inside issue. If you've felt like you're doing "all the right things" but still feel stuck, this conversation will help you consider what may be happening beneath the surface and why healing with prayer may need to go deeper than symptom management. In this episode, you'll hear: How spiritual roots can affect emotional, mental, and physical struggles Why declarations, discipline, and outside effort may not work if there is still an internal misalignment How unforgiveness, bitterness, fear, and unresolved pain can quietly keep cycles alive Why biblical prayer can help uncover and address the real root instead of only managing the symptom How freedom becomes possible when we stop assuming we are the problem and start asking God what is really going on Prayer Father, thank You that You do not leave us stuck, confused, or alone in our pain. Show us the roots that need Your healing. Reveal anything we have been carrying that You never designed us to hold. Teach us how to pray with wisdom, truth, and faith. Bring our body, soul, and spirit into alignment with Your love, Your Word, and Your design. In Jesus' name, amen. Declaration God, You said that where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. Therefore, I am not stuck forever, and I will follow You into the freedom Jesus paid for. I can hear Your voice, receive Your truth, and heal with You one step at a time.
