  The Serial Killer Caught Because Of An Earthquake | S18E6 10.08.2026 55мин

  Wu Yinghong might have gotten away with his brutal crimes but it seemed like the universe had other plans for him.   In September of 1999, a couple of fisherman were fishing near the Shuangcui Damn in Xinshe, Taiwan, when they discovered a decomposed and swollen head lodged between 2 rocks. Further investigations over the next few days found more bones consisting of vertebrae, pelvis, left palm and left foot which were matched to the head, but despite numerous pleas and sketches sent to the media, no one came forward.   2 weeks later, a major event occurred that would reinvigorate interest in the case. On the 21st of September, 1999, a 7.3 magnitude earthquake devastated central Taiwan, leading to the deaths of thousands and the destruction of billions of infrastructure. However, amidst the chaos and the rubble, workers at Sun Moon lake discovered plastic bags containing the dismembered remains of 2 other victims.   For eight years, Chutou, and 8 year old border collie, went everywhere with Guo, a travel influencer from Henan. China. Snow-capped mountains. Desert highways. Remote campsites where Chutou stood guard through the night so his owner could sleep. Together, they built a life on the road, and along the way amassed an audience of over a million people who followed their journey.   Then, in early May 2026, Guo left for a solo trip, and while he was gone, Chutou went missing.   What followed was every pet owner's worst nightmare: surveillance footage of strangers loading his dog onto a bike, a frantic flight home, two weeks of desperate searching, before finally, the devastating truth. Chutou had been sold to a restaurant for 180 yuan. Less than thirty dollars.   He Didn't Know He Was Dying... Until Reddit Saved Him | S17E10 15.06.2026 45мин

  In this episode, Kady shares a series of stories where Reddit stepped in to help solve the case, and in one instance, even helped save a life.  In the first story, a user named RBradbudy1920 shares on Reddit that he has been receiving mysterious post-it notes in his bedroom, but has no idea how they got there. It was only after he was considering legal action against his landlord that someone chimed in with a keen observation, one that in hindsight might have actually saved his life. In the second story, an elderly woman named Susan Rainwater goes out for a short bike ride only to be later found unresponsive in a ditch with her wrecked bike nearby. With little evidence on the scene itself, authorities were struggling to figure out who might have done this to Susan, until some vigilant internet users banded together and brought her the justice she deserved. In the last story, a man is found dead at the scene of a car crash in 1995, but due to the extent of his injuries, authorities had no way to identify who he was except for some scattered personal items and a ticket stub for a Grateful Dead concert. Because of this, the man - who would later be dubbed "Grateful Doe" - would remain unidentified for decades, until a small group of online sleuths dedicated their own time to this case, and eventually found his identity. He sold a phony currency-duplicating machine to marks who genuinely believed they'd found a device that printed money. His inspiration came from a newspaper article about the enormous cost of maintaining the Eiffel Tower each year. But what was even more disturbing, were the iron grilles placed over every external window, as well as the hundreds of flies hovering just outside them.  When a locksmith finally got the door open, the stench hit them like a wall.   In this episode, Kady shares 3 stories of lesser known cases from around the world. In the first, a mother leaves her 18 year old daughter at home to take care of her younger 5 year old brother. But when she returns, she finds that the door is locked, and faints immediately upon finally seeing the horrors within their apartment. In the second, a couple wake up one morning to find their 4 year old daughter Paulette missing. But what's disturbing than the disappearance of a little girl was their alleged apathy around the whole case, with the mother even saying on TV that the whoever took her daughter can just leave her at a mall. This case would take an even more bizarre turn however, when Paulette would eventually be discovered inside her own bedroom. In the final story, a lady getting out of a parking lot reverses into a young child and her mother, but doesn't even get out of her car to call for help.
