  Lyrics Below I wrote “Give Me Eyes to See” in the tradition of a simple folk song I wrote this song -we sang it my church it was written as a prayer to sing- a prayer with a melody, or as Teresa de Avila said, "singing is praying twice!"—direct, repetitive, and easy to sing—then expanded it with Mozart-style Classical orchestration. At its heart, the song is a prayer for spiritual clarity, obedience, and a heart surrendered to God.
