Divorce After Infidelity - how to Protect Yourself Without Starting a War 13.09.2026 59минIf betrayal has suddenly made divorce a possibility, you may feel trapped between two terrible options: stay in a marriage that no longer feels safe or enter a legal battle that causes even more damage. But divorce does not automatically have to mean war. In this conversation, Lora Cheadle speaks with divorce consultant, mediator, co-parenting specialist, and Good Divorce Method founder Karen McNenny about approaching divorce with greater intention, clarity, and care. Together, they explore how to protect yourself without allowing fear or anger to control the process, set boundaries with a hostile spouse, support children across two homes, navigate the painful reality of an affair partner entering family life, and recover emotionally after the legal process ends. Top 3 Takeaways A good divorce is not painless or conflict-free. A good divorce is handled intentionally enough that the process itself does not create more damage than the marriage already did. The goal is not to avoid every difficult emotion, but to build a more functional future instead of automatically turning former partners into enemies. Protecting yourself does not require becoming hostile. You can establish firm boundaries without becoming a doormat or escalating every conflict. When conversations become insulting or emotionally charged, pause, clearly state what you are willing to participate in, and return to the discussion when it can be respectful and productive. The legal process can end a marriage, but it cannot recover you. Divorce may change your home, finances, parenting, identity, friendships, and imagined future. Legal guidance is essential, but emotional healing, nervous system regulation, self-trust, and creating the life that comes next require a different kind of support. Favorite Quotes “Your marriage is ending, not your relationship.” —Karen McNenny “A good divorce does not mean denying your anger or rushing your grief. It means choosing where your pain belongs.” —Lora Cheadle About Karen Karen McNenny is the author of The Good Divorce: How to End Your Marriage Without Ending Your Family. As a mediator, divorce consultant, and co-parent specialist, she helps families navigate separation without destroying the relationships that matter most. In a culture that often treats divorce like a battlefield, Karen offers a radically different model — one that exposes the systemic failures of the traditional divorce industry and replaces them with a child-centered, dignity-driven approach. Her work reframes divorce not as a personal failure, but as a family restructuring that can be handled with intention, stability, and long-term family stability. What makes Karen’s perspective especially powerful is that she has lived it. She navigated her own divorce and successfully raised her children across two homes — from kindergarten through college — proving that families can restructure without rupturing. She is known for blending warmth, clarity, and practical strategy to help families navigate change with intention. A sought-after speaker, trusted advisor, and TEDx presenter, Karen also brings more than two decades of leadership coaching and consulting experience across the nonprofit, corporate, and public sectors. How Much Truth Do You Really Need? After Infidelit 06.09.2026 57мин“The truth will set you free, but first it will piss you off.” After betrayal, you might feel desperate to know everything. Who was she? How long did it last? What happened? Did he love her? Is he finally telling you everything? And at the exact same time, you might desperately wish you could unknow all of it. You want yesterday back. You want your memories back. You want a business trip to just be a business trip. You want your marriage, your husband, and your reality back. That push-pull is one of the hardest parts of betrayal: Tell me everything. Please don't tell me that. But how much truth do you really need? In this episode, we're talking about the difference between truth and certainty, why some information is essential for your health, safety, finances, and decision-making, and why knowing one more detail doesn't necessarily make you feel safer. I'm also sharing a deeply personal moment from about 18 months after discovery, when I realized there was one question I had never asked my husband. When I finally asked it, his answer was painful. But instead of destroying me, the truth gave me something real to stand on. Because eventually, the most important question may no longer be, “What else don't I know about him?” It may be: What is true for me now? Top 3 Takeaways Truth and certainty are not the same thing. After betrayal, it's natural to search for information because your reality has been shattered. But at some point, the search for truth can become a search for certainty, and no amount of information can guarantee that you'll never be blindsided again. You can want the truth and wish you could unknow it at the same time.Part of what you're grieving may be the loss of not knowing. Before discovery, your life made sense. Healing isn't about pretending you never learned the truth. It's reaching a place where knowing it no longer destroys you. Eventually, his truth has to lead you back to your own. What do you need to know? What would need to happen for reconciliation to be possible? What are you willing and unwilling to live with? What do you want? You may never know every detail, but you can reach a place where you know enough and, most importantly, where you know and trust yourself Favorite Quotes “Maybe the truth that ultimately sets you free isn't finally knowing everything he did. Maybe it's finally knowing what you're going to do with what you know.” If FLAUNT! has helped you through betrayal, make sure you're subscribed, and please leave a quick comment or review. What Real Recovery From Porn Addiction Looks Like With Sathiya Sam, Founder of DeepClean™ 30.08.2026 55минWhen He Says He’ll Change: What Real Recovery From Porn Addiction Actually Looks Like With Sathiya Sam, Founder of DeepClean™ After discovering pornography, infidelity, or other secret sexual behavior, one of the hardest questions isn't simply Why did he do it? It's Can he actually change? He may swear he'll never do it again. Delete apps. Install filters. Start therapy. Hand over his phone. Go weeks or months without pornography. And you desperately want to believe that this time is different. But how can you tell the difference between someone who has stopped a behavior—for now—and someone who is actually changing? In this episode, Lora Cheadle sits down with Sathiya Sam, founder of DeepClean™, author of The Last Relapse, and host of The Man Within podcast, for a candid conversation about pornography addiction, betrayal, relapse, and what lasting recovery really requires. Drawing from his own 15-year struggle with pornography and his work helping men recover, Sathiya explains why pornography addiction is rarely solved by willpower, promises, shame, filters, or simply trying harder. Lasting change requires getting underneath the behavior to the emotional wounds, unmet needs, nervous-system patterns, beliefs, and identity that helped create the cycle in the first place. His current DeepClean approach likewise emphasizes addressing underlying emotional wounds, core beliefs, unmet needs, regulation, identity, and relationships rather than measuring success only by abstinence. Lora and Sathiya also address the question so many betrayed partners struggle with: What is my role in his recovery? Because supporting someone is not the same as recovering for them. You cannot love him enough, monitor him enough, become a "superwife," have more sex, make his life easier, or find the perfect words that will make him change. His recovery belongs to him. Your healing belongs to you. And perhaps most importantly, recovery doesn't have to mean returning to the relationship you had before. When someone genuinely addresses the roots of addiction, the goal isn't simply a man who no longer watches pornography. It's a man who knows himself better, regulates himself differently, communicates more honestly, takes responsibility for his needs and behavior, and begins showing up differently in his marriage and his life. Top 3 Takeaways Stopping the behavior is not the same as healing what created it.A promise to stop, an internet filter, accountability software, or a period of abstinence may change behavior without addressing its roots. Sathiya describes lasting recovery as developing self-awareness, healing underlying emotional wounds and unmet needs, and shifting identity—not merely becoming better at resisting pornography. Look for trends of transformation, not just streaks of abstinence.Instead of asking only, How many days has he been "clean"?, look at what is changing in the man. Can he name his emotions and needs? Regulate himself during difficult conversations? Talk about what he's uncovering without becoming immediately defensive? Take responsibility for his recovery? Communicate honestly about both struggles and progress? As Sathiya explains, a relapse does not automatically erase every bit of growth—and a long streak does not necessarily prove the underlying problem has healed. You can support his recovery, but you cannot do it for him.One of the most painful truths for a betrayed partner is that you cannot make someone want recovery more than they want it themselves. Your job is not to become his accountability partner or work harder for his healing than he does. Your work is getting your own support, processing your pain safely, establishing and upholding your boundaries, and paying attention to what his behavior—not merely his promises—is showing you. Favorite Quotes “He kind of has to want to change more than you want him to change for anything to actually change.” — Sathiya Sam “I would rather be 100% my true self and re -
How Do You Know If Your Unfaithful Partner Is Really Changing? 23.08.2026 55мин--With Sam’s Healing Podcast After infidelity, promises can sound reassuring—but how do you know whether your partner is actually changing? In this episode, Lora Cheadle talks with Sam from Sam’s Healing Podcast about what real recovery looks like on the unfaithful side of betrayal. They explore why actions matter more than apologies, why the unfaithful partner needs to take initiative instead of waiting to be managed, and why becoming teachable, confrontable, and emotionally mature is essential for rebuilding trust. They also discuss communication tools like AVR—acknowledge, validate, reassure—along with self-regulation, co-regulation, childhood patterns, boundaries, and the difference between performing recovery and genuinely becoming someone new. Top 3 Takeaways Stop listening only to what they say. Watch what they do. Promises like “It will never happen again” have very little value if they are not backed by consistent behavior. Real change shows up between sessions: seeking help, reading, doing exercises, attending meetings when appropriate, learning new skills, telling the truth, following through, and taking initiative without being parented by the betrayed partner. The unfaithful partner goes first. The person who created the rupture has a responsibility to lead the repair. That means booking appointments, finding resources, doing the work, becoming teachable and open to correction, and learning how to respond to the betrayed partner’s pain rather than becoming defensive or demanding that they “get over it.” Healing requires more than understanding why the affair happened. Childhood wounds and family-of-origin patterns matter, but insight alone does not automatically create empathy, emotional maturity, communication skills, or safety. Both partners eventually need to learn self-regulation and co-regulation, while the unfaithful partner demonstrates through consistent action that they are becoming someone capable of rebuilding trust. Favorite Quotes “Forget about what they’re saying. Look at what they’re doing.” —Sam “The only currency is action.” —Sam “There is a time where we as unfaithful stop saying what we will do. We just do it.” —Sam “You can’t regulate yourself out of a toxic relationship.” —Lora Cheadle About Sam Sam’s Healing Podcast is brought to you by one of Infidelity Recovery’s most prominent and renowned influencers and YouTubers. How to Make Decisions After Infidelity When Every Choice Feels Wrong 16.08.2026 58минAfter betrayal, every decision can feel catastrophic. Stay or leave? Give more grace or set aharder boundary? Invest in support or save the money in case you need it later? When yourbrain is hyperalert, every possibility can begin to look like proof that one wrong choice will ruinyour future. In this episode, Lora Cheadle explores why hypervigilance can disguise itself as carefuldecision-making—and why self-trust does not mean making perfect choices. Through the storyof rebuilding her home after a devastating sewer explosion, along with her own experiences ofchoosing beauty, pleasure, and higher standards, Lora shows how recovery shifts when youstop trying to recreate the old or justify every choice and begin creating a life that genuinelyreflects who you are now. Top 3 Takeaways1. Hypervigilance can make every possibility look like catastrophe. After betrayal, your brain is trying to protect you from ever being blindsided again. That can turnthoughtful decision-making into endless analysis, freezing, catastrophizing, and searching forguarantees that do not exist.2. Self-trust is not making the perfect decision.Self-trust means knowing that you can choose, experience what happens, gather moreinformation, ask for help, reassess, change direction, and choose again. A decision that does notturn out perfectly is not proof that there is something wrong with you.3. Recovery is not about rebuilding the old life.Whether you stay, leave, remodel your marriage, or create something entirely new, the deeperquestion is what you want your life to feel like now. Higher standards are not perfectionism. They are a willingness to value truth, emotional safety, beauty, pleasure, self-respect, and a lifethat feels fully yours. Favorite Quotes “Familiar does not mean it’s automatically right. Cheap does not mean it’s automatically thewisest decision. Practical does not automatically mean it’s aligned with who you are and whereyou’re going.”“Beauty and loving yourself and loving your surroundings…is evidence that you’ve come back tolife.”“Your decisions do not have to be perfect. You just need to trust yourself enough to manageyour life.” About LoraLora Cheadle, JD, CHt is a former attorney turned betrayal recovery coach, hypnotherapist, andauthor who helps women rebuild their identity and reclaim their power after infidelity andprofound emotional betrayal. The 4 Phases of Betrayal Recovery, Part 2: Are You Ready to Move On—or Waiting for a Perfect Solution? 09.08.2026 56минSometimes you truly need more information, more time, or more nervous system regulation before you can make a decision. But sometimes “I don’t know what to do” means something deeper: you know more than you are ready to admit, you do not like your options, or you are waiting for a perfect solution that does not exist. In Part Two of this guided coaching series, Lora Cheadle walks you through the Stages of Change and helps you identify how ready you really are to move forward. You will explore the difference between needing more information and postponing action, why uncertainty feels unsafe, how fear of making the wrong choice keeps you frozen, and what it means to become the protagonist in your own life. Top 3 Takeaways Not knowing and not liking your options are not the same thing. Sometimes you genuinely need more information, legal advice, financial clarity, time, or evidence of sustained change. Other times, you already know what is true but are not ready to face what that truth may require. Readiness can be supported, even when it cannot be forced. The Stages of Change—precontemplation, contemplation, preparation, action, and maintenance—help you identify where you are without shame. Instead of asking what is wrong with you, ask what would help you become more ready. The perfect solution does not exist. Every meaningful choice contains uncertainty, consequences, gains, and losses. The goal is not to find the option with no downside. It is to make the most honest, self-honoring choice available and trust yourself to respond as new information emerges. Favorite Quotes “Sometimes you’re not stuck because you lack options. You’re stuck because none of the available options are perfect.” “Maturity is not finding the option with no downside. It’s deciding which truth, which consequence, and which responsibility you are willing to live with.” About Lora Lora Cheadle, JD, CHt is a former attorney turned betrayal recovery coach, hypnotherapist, and author who helps women rebuild their identity and reclaim their power after infidelity and profound emotional betrayal. The 4 Phases of Betrayal Recovery: Are You Healing—or Just Learning? (Part 1) 02.08.2026 1чAfter betrayal, it is easy to become trapped in an endless cycle of learning. You listen to more podcasts, read more books, study nervous system regulation, attachment, boundaries, narcissism, reconciliation, and divorce—hoping the next piece of information will finally make you feel clear. But there comes a point when gathering more information can become its own form of hypervigilance. In Part One of this two-part series, Lora Cheadle introduces the four phases of her Life Choreography® Method: Regulate, Reorient, Reconnect, and Rechoreograph. She guides you through each phase as though you were in a private session together, helping you identify where you are, where you may have skipped ahead, and what kind of support you actually need now. This episode also explores the difference between conscious insight and subconscious change, why the right tool used at the wrong time can feel like another failure, and how hypnosis can help update the old survival rules that continue operating beneath the surface. Top 3 Takeaways Learning more is not always the same as healing. Learning can be an important first step, but endless information gathering can keep you focused on the problem and safely outside your own transformation. At some point, the next step is no longer another book, podcast, or tool. It is allowing what you already know to change how you live. Betrayal recovery has an order. The four phases of the Life Choreography® Method are Regulate, Reorient, Reconnect, and Rechoreograph. You cannot force clarity while your nervous system is still in survival, reconnect with yourself before orienting to the truth, or rebuild a life that reflects who you are before knowing who you are now. Conscious understanding may not change a subconscious survival pattern. You can consciously know that you are safe, worthy, and capable of making decisions while your body continues reacting from fear, abandonment, or helplessness. Hypnosis helps update the subconscious beliefs, conditioned associations, and old survival rules that keep recreating the same emotional response. Favorite Quotes “Your conscious mind can know the truth, but your subconscious is still obeying old survival rules and patterns.” —Lora Cheadle About Lora Lora Cheadle, JD, CHt is a former attorney turned betrayal recovery coach, hypnotherapist, and author who helps women rebuild their identity and reclaim their power after infidelity and profound emotional betrayal. From Powerless to Sovereign: Reclaiming Your Voice, Intuition, and Financial Power 26.07.2026 55мин-With Soochen Low Betrayal can leave you feeling as though you have lost control over everything—your relationship, your future, your finances, and even your ability to trust yourself. You may question your judgment, second-guess every decision, and become so afraid of making another mistake that you stop moving forward altogether. But sovereignty is not about always knowing the right answer. It is about reclaiming your authority over your own life. In this episode, Lora Cheadle is joined by creative power business alchemist and sovereign leadership catalyst Soochen Low for a conversation about rebuilding self-trust, listening to your heart, reclaiming your financial power, and creating a life that belongs to you. Soochen shares her experience of leaving a controlling and emotionally abusive marriage after ten years of feeling that she was never doing, earning, or contributing enough. Although she had built successful businesses and generated significant income, she had allowed someone else’s story about her worth to become more powerful than her own. Together, Lora and Soochen explore what it means to trust your heart after it has been broken—and why listening to your intuition does not guarantee that life will always be easy or painless. Sometimes your inner wisdom warns you away from something. Other times, it leads you directly into an experience that becomes part of your growth, awakening, and evolution. They also discuss the financial fear that often accompanies betrayal and why earning, receiving, and building wealth are not selfish. Money can become an expression of agency, creativity, generosity, and freedom. Reclaiming your financial power is not merely about making more money. It is about recognizing that you are capable of supporting yourself, directing your life, and making choices based on what is right for you. This conversation is an invitation to stop waiting until you feel completely certain, stop demanding perfection from yourself, and begin moving forward one choice at a time. Because becoming sovereign does not mean you will never make another mistake. It means the choices—and the life—are finally yours. Top 3 Takeaways Your heart may not have betrayed you. After betrayal, it is common to believe that your intuition failed because you trusted someone who later hurt you. But you may have heard your inner wisdom and not yet understood it, or your path may have contained lessons and growth that you could not have anticipated. Rebuilding self-trust begins with curiosity and compassion rather than blaming yourself for what you did not know. Financial sovereignty is part of recovering yourself. Betrayal can create intense fears about money, security, and survival. Reclaiming your financial power means recognizing your ability to create, earn, receive, and make decisions for yourself. Money does not have to be associated with greed, selfishness, or proving your worth. It can support freedom, generosity, service, and choice. Sovereignty is not perfection—it is agency. You do not have to know exactly how everything will turn out before you move. You are allowed to choose, make mistakes, change your mind, and choose again. Your power is not found in getting every decision right. It is found in knowing that you can respond, adjust, and continue creating a life that reflects who you are now. Favorite Quotes “I thought I was going to crash and burn. But I didn’t. I discovered I had wings—that I could actually fly.” —Soochen Low About Soochen Soochen Low is a creative power business alchemist and sovereign leadership catalyst who supports creative, conscious, mission-driven women in building financially sustainable businesses without abandoning their integrity, creativity, or values. Her work helps women move beyond people-pleasing, proving, and self-sacrifice so they can reclaim their creative power and lead their businesses, income, lives, and destinies with greater sovereignty. Why Feeling Good About Yourself Matters After Betrayal 12.07.2026 55минWhy Feeling Good About Yourself Matters After Betrayal With Jasmin El Kordi of Bluelene After betrayal, it can feel like every thought, every conversation, and every part of your life gets hijacked by infidelity. You are trying to understand what happened, protect yourself legally and financially, regulate your nervous system, and figure out what comes next. But what if part of healing is also allowing yourself moments of normalcy, confidence, curiosity, and even fun? In this episode, Lora Cheadle talks about the importance of titrating betrayal recovery so your entire life does not become consumed by pain, processing, and problem-solving. She shares why simple experiences such as listening to music, dancing, learning something new, taking care of your skin, or feeling good in your body can help interrupt obsessive loops and support nervous system regulation. Lora is joined by Jasmin El Kordi of Bluelene Advanced Skincare for a conversation about stress, aging, confidence, skincare, and the science behind topical methylene blue. Together, they explore how stress can affect the skin, why looking in the mirror after betrayal can feel so painful, and how caring for yourself on the outside can sometimes help you reconnect with yourself on the inside. This is not about vanity. It is about remembering that you are still alive, still worthy, still allowed to feel beautiful, and still allowed to enjoy your life while you heal. Top 3 Takeaways Betrayal recovery has to be titrated.Healing matters, but not every moment of your life has to revolve around infidelity, deep processing, or hard conversations. Feeling good about yourself supports regulation.Confidence, beauty, laughter, music, movement, and small acts of self-care can help your nervous system exhale. Your body knows when something feels aligned.Whether you are making decisions about your relationship, your work, your healing, or your next chapter, your body often registers truth before your mind can explain it. When Betrayal Hits the Body: Sleep, Stress, Hormones & Healin 05.07.2026 56минWhen Betrayal Hits the Body: Sleep, Stress, Hormones & Healing With Karyn Shanks, MD Betrayal doesn’t just affect your heart and mind — it affects your body too. In this compassionate conversation, Lora sits down with physician and functional medicine expert Dr. Karyn Shanks to explore the very real physical impact of betrayal trauma, chronic stress, and emotional overwhelm. Together, they discuss how trauma affects sleep, hormones, inflammation, energy, digestion, nervous system regulation, and overall health — and why these responses are not signs that you’re weak or broken, but signs that your body is trying to protect you. This episode also explores self-compassion, the stories women carry around productivity and worthiness, and how healing begins when we stop fighting our bodies and start listening to them with curiosity and care. Confidence Isn’t Something You Find. It’s Something You Become 28.06.2026 56минConfidence is not something you have to find, fake, perform, or earn. It’s something you become. In this special episode of FLAUNT!, Lora Cheadle, JD, CHt, leads you through a powerful conversation about confidence after infidelity and betrayal, followed by a full-length hypnosis session designed to help you reconnect with your worth, self-trust, and inner steadiness. Because after betrayal, confidence can feel shattered. You may doubt yourself, your choices, your desirability, your intuition, and your ability to move forward. But real confidence is not perfection. It is not having it all together. It is not never feeling afraid, insecure, or unsure. Real confidence is the grounded, embodied knowing that says, “I can be with myself through this. I can choose. I can speak. I can move. I can recover. I can fail spectacularly, and I can trust myself through it all.” This episode is your free, 10th Anniversary Gift! In this episode, Lora shares a complete hypnosis experience that you can return to again and again whenever you need to reconnect with your confidence, calm your nervous system, and remember that you are worthy of a life you love. As a certified clinical hypnotherapist, Lora explains how hypnosis works, why it is safe, and why it can be such a powerful and rapid tool for healing after betrayal. Hypnosis helps access the subconscious mind, where old fears, limiting beliefs, unhealed wounds, and protective patterns often live. Instead of trying to think your way into confidence from the conscious mind alone, hypnosis helps your body, mind, and subconscious come into alignment. Use this hypnosis more than once! Save it. Come back to the hypnosis portion when you are resting, before bed, in the morning, or anytime you need a reset. The more you practice entering hypnosis, the easier and more effective it becomes. Just do not use it while driving a car, operating any type of machinery, or any time you wish to maintain full awakened consciousness. Find a comfortable, distraction-free space, allow yourself to relax, and return to this hypnosis whenever you need support. After you have listened several times, notice what comes up. Notice what shifts. Notice where your subconscious leads you. Then reach out to Lora to book a customized hypnosis session so she can create one specifically for you, your healing, your confidence, and your recovery. Then, reach out to Lora to book your own customized hypnosis session Top 3 Takeaways Confidence is not something you fake. It is something you become.Confidence is not about pretending to be someone else. It is about remembering the truest version of yourself and practicing that embodiment until your body begins to believe you again. Betrayal disrupts confidence because it disrupts self-trust.After infidelity or betrayal, it is common to question your intuition, worth, choices, and future. Healing requires more than information. It requires reconnecting with the part of you that knows you can rise again. Hypnosis can help create faster, deeper healing.Because hypnosis works with the subconscious mind, it can help release old fears, rewire limiting beliefs, and restore confidence at the level where many patterns actually live. A Decade of FLAUNT!: Truth-Telling, Betrayal, and Defining Yourself 21.06.2026 58минWhat ten years of podcasting taught me about exposure, revelation, and reclaiming who you are. FLAUNT! is officially ten years old, and this anniversary episode is both a celebration and a reflection on what a decade of truth-telling has revealed. When Lora first started the podcast, she believed she was happily married and thought the show would focus primarily on empowerment, wellness, sensuality, confidence, visibility, humor, spirituality, and the art of living freely. Using burlesque as a metaphor, she explored the tension between concealing and revealing, the ways women cover or enhance parts of themselves, and how personal growth invites us to strip away roles, labels, scripts, and expectations. But over the past ten years, the show evolved in ways Lora never expected. Betrayal, burnout, affair recovery, nervous-system capacity, self-trust, and identity reconstruction became central themes. What once felt like a joyful personal-development conversation became something deeper and more urgent after betrayal exposed the difference between revealing yourself by choice and being exposed by someone else’s actions. In this episode, Lora asks one of the core questions that has shaped both the podcast and her TEDx work: Who gets to define you? She explores how we come to know ourselves through other people’s judgments, labels, and expectations. Whether we were called the difficult child, the fixer, the shy one, the loud one, the good wife, the good mom, or the capable one, many of us build identities around what others have reflected back to us. Betrayal can rip those identities away and force us to ask who we are without the roles we once relied on. Lora also reflects on the complicated nature of anniversaries. Some anniversaries are joyful, while others mark grief, shock, loss, or the end of a life we thought we were living. A podcast anniversary, a wedding anniversary, a D-Day anniversary, or a divorce anniversary can all bring mixed emotions. Rather than forcing those feelings to make sense, Lora invites listeners to honor the complexity of time, truth, grief, gratitude, and growth. This episode also explores the importance of being proud of yourself, not only for the big wins, but for the quiet moments of survival, self-reflection, honesty, and repair. Lora discusses the difference between blame and self-awareness, especially when betrayed partners look back and recognize places where they were exhausted, over-functioning, resentful, controlling, self-sacrificing, or disconnected from their own truth. That reflection does not excuse betrayal or make the betrayed partner responsible for someone else’s choices. Instead, it creates an opportunity for reclamation. Lora shares how resentment often reveals where we performed a role no one actually asked us to perform. Whether it was keeping the perfect house, being endlessly helpful, managing everyone else’s needs, or sacrificing ourselves to be seen as good, resentment can become a doorway into truth. It asks us to notice where we abandoned ourselves, where we hid our needs, and where we expected others to appreciate something we never clearly chose or communicated. The episode also addresses a tender truth: sometimes we do not face reality because we do not yet have the capacity, safety, resources, support, legal clarity, emotional maturity, or nervous-system strength to deal with it. Humans minimize, rationalize, distract, stay busy, and bury their heads in the sand when the truth would require a decision they are not ready or resourced enough to make. This can happen in the betrayed partner, and it can also happen in the partner who cheats. An affair may become a distraction from pain, dissatisfaction, or unresolved inner issues, but while that may explain behavior, it does not excuse the harm. Ultimately, this anniversary episode is about truth as a doorway, not a weapon. It is about learning to speak truth to yourself first, then to others. It is about knowing -
Stop Waiting for the Map to Appear Why clarity comes through movement — and why you need a path, not just more information. 14.06.2026 58минAfter betrayal, it is natural to want the whole map before you move. You want to know if your marriage can be saved, if they are telling the truth, whether you will regret staying or leaving, and if you will ever feel like yourself again. But what if the map does not appear until you move? In this episode, Lora Cheadle shares a story from her 10-year podcast anniversary trip to New York, where her GPS kept spinning and recalculating until she finally started walking. That moment became the perfect metaphor for betrayal recovery: standing still does not always create clarity. Sometimes movement creates clarity. Through stories from New York, Broadway, The Wizard of Oz, Wicked, and her own betrayal recovery journey, Lora explores why healing requires more than listening, learning, or waiting to see what your partner will do. Healing requires a path, a plan, support, and the willingness to take the next step. If you are tired of spiraling, eroding your boundaries, betraying yourself to keep the peace, or waiting for someone else to become clear before you reclaim your own life, this episode will help you understand why it is time to stop waiting for the map to appear and take the path. Top 3 Takeaways The map may not appear until you move. After betrayal, it is tempting to wait for certainty before taking action. But clarity often comes through movement, not before it. Listening is not the same as having a plan.Podcasts, books, therapy, and support groups can all be helpful, but gathering information is not the same as walking a structured recovery path. You do not have to walk the path alone.Healing after betrayal requires heart, head, courage, support, and action. Like Dorothy gathering companions along the Yellow Brick Road, you need people and a process to help you move forward. Favorite Quote “The map will not appear until you move. Don't Let Their Affair Cost You Twice How to Avoid the Legal, Emotional, and Practical Mistakes That Can Come Back to Bite You 07.06.2026 56минAfter infidelity, it's easy to make decisions from shock, fear, anger, and survival mode. But some of the choices you make in the days and weeks after discovery can create a second wave of pain—legally, emotionally, financially, and relationally. In this episode, betrayal recovery expert and attorney Lora Cheadle shares the biggest mistakes betrayed partners make after infidelity, from stalking and social media blowups to using children as investigators, obsessively searching for answers, and managing a partner's recovery. Most importantly, she explains how to protect your future self while navigating one of life's most devastating experiences. If you've been betrayed and don't know what to do next, this episode will help you slow down, regulate your nervous system, and avoid letting the affair cost you twice. Top 3 Takeaways 1. Your First Job Isn't Deciding Whether to Stay or Leave When betrayal is discovered, your brain immediately wants certainty, answers, and relief. But your first responsibility isn't making life-changing decisions—it's protecting yourself from decisions made in a shocked, terrified, and traumatized state. The Biggest Mistake Isn't What They Did—It's Abandoning Yourself The deepest trap after betrayal is becoming consumed by your partner's actions, recovery, and choices while neglecting your own healing. Recovery begins when you stop obsessing about them and start rebuilding trust in yourself. Don't Let the Affair Cost You Twice The affair is painful enough. Don't create a second wave of damage through impulsive legal, financial, social media, or emotional decisions made from survival mode. Before you act, ask yourself: Will this help me six months from now, or is it helping me feel better for six minutes? Favorite Quotes "The biggest mistake is abandoning yourself while trying to figure out what they're doing." What Are You Under the Influence Of? How Fear, Trauma & Other People's Opinions Keep You Stuck After Betrayal 31.05.2026 56минAfter betrayal, everyone seems to have advice. Leave.Stay.Fight for your marriage.Run.Forgive.Never trust again. But when your nervous system is overwhelmed, it's easy to absorb other people's certainty instead of listening to your own truth. In this episode, Lora explores how betrayal trauma increases suggestibility, why fear spreads so quickly, and how to reclaim your ability to think clearly, trust yourself, and make decisions from wisdom rather than panic. Drawing from her experience as an attorney, clinical hypnotherapist, and betrayal recovery coach, Lora explains why knowledge reduces fear, how hypnosis can help break the trance of trauma, and why discernment—not certainty—is the real path to healing. If you've ever wondered whether you're making decisions based on your own truth or someone else's story, this episode is for you. Top 3 Takeaways Betrayal Trauma Makes You More Suggestible. When your nervous system is overwhelmed, your brain naturally seeks certainty. That's why it's easy to absorb other people's opinions, fears, and experiences instead of trusting yourself. Discernment Is Different Than Fear. Fear demands immediate answers. Discernment allows reality to reveal itself over time. Healing isn't about becoming hypervigilant—it's about staying connected to yourself while the truth unfolds. Knowledge Creates Calm. Understanding your legal, financial, emotional, and relational options doesn't force a decision. It reduces fear, increases clarity, and helps you make choices from a place of confidence rather than panic. Favorite Quotes "When we're desperate for certainty, we start borrowing certainty from other people." "Discernment is the ability to stay connected to yourself while reality reveals itself." "Fear shrinks your world. Knowledge expands it." "Healing isn't about becoming fearless. It's about learning how to hear yourself again underneath the noise." Will I Ever Feel Normal Again After Betrayal? 24.05.2026 57минOne of the most common questions women ask after betrayal is:“Will I ever feel like myself again?” Because betrayal trauma and infidelity don’t just break your heart — they disrupt your nervous system, your identity, your sense of safety, your routines, and even your perception of reality. In this honest and deeply grounding episode, Lora shares what healing after betrayal actually looks like — not the polished Instagram version, but the real, nuanced, nonlinear truth of nervous system recovery, emotional healing, and rebuilding self-trust after infidelity. She explores: why betrayal feels so destabilizing what trauma does to the brain and body why healing is quieter and more subtle than most people expect the real signs you’re healing how to stop losing yourself in someone else’s healing why peace eventually matters more than certainty what it truly means to stay true to yourself after betrayal This episode is compassionate, practical, validating, and full of the kind of honest insight women desperately need when they wonder if they’ll ever feel okay again. Top 3 Takeaways Healing after betrayal is not about “never being triggered again” — it’s about building the capacity to feel, regulate, recover, and stay connected to yourself. One of the biggest signs of healing is when betrayal stops being the center of your identity and you begin caring about your future again. Real healing is often quiet and gradual: sleeping through the night, laughing unexpectedly, trusting yourself faster, and choosing peace over constant certainty. Favorite Quote “Healing means learning how to stay true to yourself, even after your world falls apart.” About Lora Lora Cheadle, JD, CHt is a former attorney turned betrayal recovery coach, hypnotherapist, and author who helps women rebuild their identity and reclaim their power after infidelity and profound emotional betrayal. Why Marriage Counseling Can Backfire After Infidelity 17.05.2026 58минAfter betrayal, almost everyone says the same thing: “You two need counseling.” But what if rushing into couples therapy immediately after infidelity is actually making things worse? In this deeply honest and eye-opening episode, Lora Cheadle shares why betrayal is not simply a marriage problem — it’s a nervous system injury, an identity crisis, and a reality-shattering trauma that requires stabilization before relationship repair. Drawing from her own experience recovering after her husband’s multiple affairs, Lora explains why so many betrayed partners leave counseling feeling blamed, overwhelmed, emotionally flooded, or even more disconnected from themselves. She explores the “assumption trap” that infidelity is caused by relationship problems, why traditional couples counseling can unintentionally backfire early on, and what healing-focused support should actually prioritize first. This episode is not anti-therapy and it’s not anti-marriage. It’s a compassionate, trauma-informed conversation about why healing begins with you — your safety, your nervous system, your clarity, and your self-trust. If you’ve been betrayed and feel confused, pressured, dysregulated, or like you’ve completely lost yourself, this episode will help you understand why. Top 3 Takeaways Infidelity is not just a marriage problem. Betrayal shatters your sense of reality, identity, trust, and nervous system safety. Before working on the relationship, the betrayed partner often needs stabilization, orientation, and emotional safety first. Traditional couples counseling can unintentionally backfire early on. When therapy focuses too quickly on “relationship dynamics,” many betrayed partners leave feeling blamed, self-monitoring, emotionally flooded, or pressured to fix the relationship before their own trauma has been addressed. Healing starts with rebuilding yourself — not rushing decisions. Before deciding whether to stay, leave, forgive, reconcile, or rebuild the marriage, it’s essential to regulate the nervous system, reconnect with self-trust, and create clarity from a grounded place instead of survival mode. Favorite Quotes “Infidelity is not a marriage problem. It is an individual’s problem.” “People cheat because they can’t meet their own needs.” “Marriage counseling assumes two regulated adults discussing relationship dynamics.” “Betrayal involves one deeply dysregulated person trying to survive the collapse of their reality.” “It’s not about pretending everything is okay. It’s about rebuilding you and your truth.” “When you’re bleeding out, you stop the blood flow first.” “You don’t need to rush your healing. But you do need to take care of yourself first.” About Lora Lora Cheadle, JD, CHt is a former attorney turned betrayal recovery coach, hypnotherapist, and author who helps women rebuild their identity and reclaim their power after infidelity and profound emotional betrayal. Healing Betrayal Trauma: EMDR, IFS & the Real Reasons People Cheat 10.05.2026 57минInfidelity doesn’t happen in a vacuum. And healing after betrayal isn’t just about “getting over it” or learning to trust again. In this deeply compassionate and eye-opening conversation, Lora sits down with marriage and sex therapist Todd Creager to explore the real roots of infidelity, betrayal trauma, emotional safety, and lasting healing. Together, they unpack how childhood wounds, attachment injuries, shame, hypervigilance, and nervous system survival patterns shape both betrayal and recovery. You’ll also learn how EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) can help both betrayed partners and betrayers process trauma safely, understand their protective patterns, and move toward genuine healing and connection. This episode is not about excusing betrayal. It’s about understanding it deeply enough to heal. Whether you stay or leave, this conversation will help you stop personalizing the betrayal, understand your own patterns more compassionately, and move toward clarity, safety, and self-trust. Top 3 Takeaways Infidelity is often connected to unresolved trauma, attachment wounds, and protective survival patterns that began long before the relationship. EMDR and Internal Family Systems (IFS) can help both partners process betrayal trauma, regulate the nervous system, and heal emotional wounds safely. Why Being the “Good Girl” Keeps You Stuck After Betrayal (The Hidden Cost No One Talks About) 03.05.2026 56минYou didn’t stay stuck because you were weak. You stayed stuck because you were good. If you’ve been trying to handle betrayal “the right way”—staying calm, being understanding, holding everything together—this episode will change how you see your healing. Because the truth is, the women who stay stuck the longest after infidelity aren’t the ones who fall apart… They’re the ones who stay kind, capable, and in control. In this powerful episode, Lora Cheadle breaks down the hidden cost of being the “good girl” after betrayal—and how empathy, emotional intelligence, and over-functioning can quietly lead to self-abandonment. You’ll learn how fawning shows up as a nervous system response, why the “assumption trap” keeps you focused on fixing your partner or your marriage, and how to reclaim your clarity, voice, and power—without losing your softness.
