This podcast discusses biblical topics and texts that emphasize the oneness of God, arguing against the doctrine of the Trinity. The host, William Schlegel, focuses on the teachings of Jesus, who is presented as the Messiah, or the Anointed One, of the one God. Listeners can expect an exploration of scriptures that highlight the distinction between God and Jesus, with an emphasis on Jesus' death and resurrection. The show appears to be a theological discussion aimed at those interested in non-trinitarian Christian perspectives.

174) Who is the Son of God in the Bible? Deity of Christ claims dishonor the Son of God, Jesus of Nazareth, the Christ. 11.09.2026 23минAll deity-of-Christ claims not only dishonor the Father, butthey also dishonor the Son, the Christ, the man Jesus of Nazareth, theJew who was born in Bethlehem some 2000 years ago. 173) Who is the One God of the Bible? The Trinity? The Father? Jesus? 05.09.2026 26минIs the Father alone the One God, or is the Trinity theOne God MainstreamChristianity insists that there is one God, but for mainstream Christianity theone God is made up of three persons. MainstreamChristianity reasons that since Jesus is God, then God the Father alone is notthe one God. Either a multi-person God (the Father and the Son, and then Spirittogether) are the one God, or the Father, a singular self, is the one God. Theycan’t both be the one God. If theFather is the one true God, then the claim that “Jesus is God” is an attempt todenigrate the one true God -- the Father. If the Father alone is the one God, deity-of-Christand Trinitarian interpretations of Scripture are an attempt to put another Godin the place of the one God, the Father. -

170) “Isaiah Saw the God Jesus”, John 12:37-41 17.07.2026 12мин“Deity of Christ” believers have claimed that Isaiah saw Jesus, the “second person of the Godhead”, in Isaiah’s vision of God recorded in Isaiah 6. The deity-of-Christ claim is that when John wrote, “Isaiah said this because he saw his glory and spoke of him” (John 12:41) that when Isaiah saw God sitting on his throne in a vision, Isaiah saw Jesus.Did the prophet Isaiah, who claimed the God of Israel was the Father, claim to have seen God the Son and his glory?Or, was John claiming that "his glory" which Isaiah prophetically saw was the glory of the Servant of YHVH God?Resources: Written text of this podcast: https://landandbible.blogspot.com/2026/07/john-1237-45-john-does-not-claim-that.htmlBill Schlegel One God Report: https://www.youtube.com/@billschlegel1The Trinity is NOT Biblical: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T1VuvKEyB0gDeity of Christ Interpretations of Scripture Dishonor Jesus of Nazareth, the Christ: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R2VOKEvGqAwWhat About John 1? If you are a Christian and you don’t know who the CappadocianFathers were and their role in developing the Trinity doctrine, this podcast isfor you. In this episode Sam Tideman (Transfigured podcast) addressesquestions like these:· Who were the Cappadocian Fathers?· What were the circumstances thatbrought them together to deal with theological issues?· What theological/Christologicalissues are they famous for establishing?· How did they shape the doctrine ofthe trinity?· What was their version of thetrinity like?· What role did they play on thepolitical-ecclesial decisions to make the trinity the official state doctrine? 168) Dwelt in Us, or Dwelt Among Us? 19.06.2026 30минIn this podcast I focus on a few additional interpretive issues of specific words in John 1:14 that mainstream Christians interpret as evidence that God became man.The verb σκηνόω (dwell, tabernacle) is not used of God elsewhere in the Septuagint, while its New Testament occurrences do not naturally support the idea of God incarnating himself in a human body. The traditional translation "dwelt among us" is possible, but it is not the only way to interpret and translate John 1:14. The Greek preposition ἐν ordinarily means "in," and John's Gospel repeatedly uses “in” to describe relationship rather than spatial proximity. John's own usage of "in us," "in me," and "in you" consistently points toward personal relationship, not spatial proximity. John 1:14 can be understood as the Word dwelt “in us”, describing the human person Jesus, the Word, becoming life giving provision and sustenance for others. Such an interpretation fits naturally within John's broader theology of indwelling as a relationship with the Messiah that brings about life. The evidence from John's Gospel, the Septuagint, and the wider New Testament suggests that "the Word dwelt in us" deserves serious consideration as an alternative to the traditional rendering "the Word dwelt among us."An essential doctrinal teaching, something like the incarnation of God into man, should not hang on the interpretation of a single preposition in one verse. Big doctrinal claims require big, consistent, repeated, clear textual evidence. John simply does not say that God, or one person who is God, became man. 166) What about John 1? (What John 1:1-4 Means) 22.05.2026 18минThis episode argues for anon-Trinitarian, “new beginning” interpretation of John 1:1–4. John’s“beginning” does not refer to Genesis creation or a preexistent divine Christ, but to the beginning of Jesus’ ministry and the gospel message. “the Word” isthe human Jesus functioning as God’s ultimate spokesman and agent, with phraseslike “the Word was with God” and “the Word was God” describing Jesus’ intimaterelationship with and representation of the Father rather than shared divineessence. John 1:3 is better understood and translated as “all happened throughhim,” referring to the events and life-giving work of Jesus’ ministry ratherthan the creation of the universe. John’s introduction is about the new lifeand light which came to be through the historical man Jesus in the firstcentury, not about a pre-incarnate 2nd creator figure, or a personifiedwisdom/plan. 164) The Angel-Messenger מַלְאַ֙ךְ in the Bible 24.04.2026 20минThis podcast gives a few examplesof how the Messenger Malach מַלְאַ֧ךְ in the Hebrew Bible represented or “was” the One who Sent him See also, podcast #130 “Agency in the Bible: The Human Person Jesus “was” the Father”https://youtu.be/s8FqSysuUGY Theprinciple or practice of the מַלְאַ֧ךְ malach messenger, the one sent. Understanding the Messenger principle is crucial to understanding how many “persons” God is. TheMessenger principle, both as a concept and a reality, means that a person’s messenger—theone sent—is regarded as the sender himself. The proverbialHebrew statement about the Messenger Principle is “השליח שווה לשולחו”the one sent (a messenger) is equal to his sender.” The equality of the onesent to his sender is neither an equality of essence nor of individual one-to-oneidentity. Everyone understood that the messenger was not literally the sameperson nor the same being as the sender. Rather, the messenger was given thesender's full authority to speak and act on his behalf. The messenger carried authorityfrom the sender and was therefore to be regarded as the sender himself. Old Testament scholar John Walton highlights aspects of messenger/agency in the ZondervanIllustrated Bible Backgrounds Commentary when discussing the firstappearance of the angel (messenger) of Yahweh in Genesis 16 (to Hagar in thewilderness). Walton explains:In the ancient world direct communication between important parties was ararity. Diplomatic and political exchange usually required the use of anintermediary, a function that our ambassadors exercise today. The messenger whoserved as the intermediary was a fully vested representative of the partyhe represented. He spoke for that party and with the authority of thatparty. He was accorded the same treatment as that party wouldenjoy were he there in person. While this was standard protocol, there was no confusion about the person’s identity (emphasis mine).[1] Judges11:12Jephthahsent messengers to the king of the sons of Ammon, saying,"What is between you and me, that you have come to me tofight against my land?" 2 Kings3:7 (King Jehoram son of Ahaz after Ahabdied and Moab revolted)Then he(Jehoram) went and sent to Jehoshaphat king of Judah, saying, "Theking of Moab has rebelled against me. 162) Jesus Given Authority to Give Eternal Life 04.04.2026 13минJohn’s Gospel declares that the Man Jesus has authority to giveeternal life to others. It is not the God Jesus, and it is not the God-Man Jesuswho has power and authority to raise the dead. See how exalted man is in theeyes of God? God gave such authority toa human being. To deny that God has given this authority and power to a humanbeing and instead claim the power is in the hands of a god-man, is to dishonor boththe God who gave the authority and the exalted human being Jesus who has theauthority. -

157) Christianity's Identity Crisis: Who is God? 13.02.2026 25мин"The Trinity is God. The Father is God. The Son is God. The Spirit is God.""God is three persons but God is he".In mainstream Christianity there is real confusion and an identity crises about who God is, how many persons God is, and who and what the title “God” refers to. Mainstream Christianity also presents a identity confusion about who Jesus is. "Jesus is God. Jesus is a God-Man. Jesus is man. Jesus is an angel, or was the angel of the LORD". The Trinity God has one nature, but the Jesus God has two natures. This confusion is not found in the Bible, but is only a result of later human speculation and lies. -

154) Psalm 110: the Human King-Priest at the Right hand of God (Part 2) 09.01.2026 24минPart 2 of an exposition of Psalm 110.Psalm 110shows that the one “at the right hand” of God not only has been given the authority to rule as YHVH’s designated King Messiah, but is also appointed by YHVH as Priest Messiah. The high priest mediates between humans and God. The author of Hebrews emphasizes the mediatorial role of Yeshua the Messiah who as our high priest has gone into the presence of God, being at the righthand of God, as our mediator (Heb. 1:3, 1:13, 8:1, 10:12, 12:2). The author of Hebrews hardly mentions that Jesus is the designated King Messiah, but emphasizes that Jesus is the Priest Messiah who mediates for us in the presence ofGod. Paul agrees. The one mediator between God and man is the man Christ Jesus, not a God or a god-man (1 Tim. 2:4-6). In this way,Jesus is David’s Lord not only because Jesus is David’s king, but also becauseJesus is David’s mediating priest who enables David, eventually, to come beforeGod (cf. John 14:6).Psalm 110:1 (Part 1) https://youtu.be/GLEEV9emNT0
