  • 205- Why I Told My Patient I Didn't Care What Exercise She Did And What I Cared About More to Stop Her Leaking 19.08.2026 20min
What if finding the “perfect” exercise isn't actually the thing that moves you forward? I recently told a patient that I didn't really care what exercise she did—which probably sounds like a strange thing to hear from a physical therapist! But what I meant was that I cared far less about choosing the perfect exercise and far more about what was happening in her body while she was doing it. In this episode, we're talking about why two people can do the exact same exercise and have completely different experiences—and why learning to notice your breath, pressure, tension, symptoms, and overall connection can be more valuable than constantly searching for the “right” movement. Because the goal isn't perfect exercise. It's learning how to move with intention, awareness, and confidence. In This Episode We Explore Why I told a patient I didn't care what exercise she chose Why we get so caught up searching for the “best” pelvic floor or core exercise How the same movement can look completely different inside two different bodies What I'm actually paying attention to when I watch a patient move The relationship between breath, pressure, tension, symptoms, and movement Why intention over perfection matters How awareness helps you make better decisions about your body Why learning to listen to your body can ultimately build confidence and trust A simple way to approach an exercise you're already doing differently this week Why This Matters When you're dealing with leaking, pelvic pressure, pain, core weakness, or simply trying to get stronger, it's easy to believe there's a specific exercise you're missing. But healing isn't about collecting more exercises. It's about understanding you. When you learn to notice how your body responds during movement, you can begin making adjustments instead of immediately assuming an exercise is “good” or “bad.” And over time, that awareness can help you move away from fear and toward something much more powerful: trusting yourself to move. Ready to Understand the Bigger Picture? This connection-first approach is one of the reasons I created Healing Beyond Kegels. Pelvic floor healing isn't just about finding the right Kegel, core exercise, or stretch. Your breath, core, pelvic floor, pressure, movement patterns, nervous system, and the rest of your body are all part of the conversation. Healing Beyond Kegels will help you zoom out and understand how those pieces work together—so you can stop chasing random exercises and start making sense of what your body is actually telling you. Healing Beyond Kegels is coming soon. Stay connected  by Downloading the Pelvic Floor, Core and More APP for all the details! Link below!   Want More Support? • 204- Why Does My Body Feel So Different? // Understanding Your Pelvic Floor During Perimenopause and Menopause 14.08.2026 21min
Have you noticed your bladder, core, or pelvic floor changing during perimenopause or menopause? Maybe you're experiencing leaking, urgency, heaviness, discomfort, or feeling like your body just doesn't respond the way it used to. If so, you're not alone—and you're certainly not broken. In today's episode, we're talking about what actually happens to the pelvic floor during perimenopause and menopause, why these changes occur, and most importantly, what you can do to continue feeling strong, confident, and supported through this new season of life. In This Episode, We Explore: What happens to your body during perimenopause and menopause How hormonal changes affect your pelvic floor, core, and bladder Common symptoms women experience during midlife The biggest misconceptions about pelvic floor health after menopause Practical ways to support your body through strength, movement, nutrition, and recovery Why it's never too late to improve your pelvic floor health Why This Matters Many women assume leaking, pelvic pressure, or pain are simply "part of getting older." While hormonal changes absolutely influence our tissues and muscles, they don't mean you have to accept symptoms as your new normal. Understanding what's happening inside your body empowers you to make intentional choices that support long-term strength, function, and confidence. Big Takeaway Menopause isn't the end of your strength—it's the beginning of a new chapter. Your body may need a different approach than it did in your 20s or 30s, but healing, strength, and confidence are absolutely still possible. Small, intentional habits can make a tremendous difference in how you feel during this season of life. • 203- Feeling Like a Bum This Summer? Here's How to Reconnect and Get Back on Track Without Starting Over 05.08.2026 29min
Has summer completely thrown off your routine? Between vacations, busy schedules, kids being home, and all the fun (and chaos!) that comes with this season, it's easy to feel like you've fallen behind on your health goals. If you've been feeling guilty, unmotivated, or like you're starting over, this episode is for you. Today, we're shifting the conversation from "getting back on track" to reconnecting with your body through small, intentional steps that build lasting momentum. In This Episode, We Explore: Why summer doesn't erase your progress The difference between restarting and reconnecting How guilt and perfectionism keep us feeling stuck Why small, intentional habits create bigger results than all-or-nothing thinking Simple ways to reconnect with your body after a busy season How to build momentum without overwhelm Why This Matters So many women believe they've "failed" because life got busy or their routine changed. But healing, fitness, and health aren't about being perfect—they're about learning how to return to yourself again and again. Your body hasn't forgotten everything you've worked for. With the right mindset and a few intentional steps, you can rebuild consistency with confidence instead of guilt. Big Takeaway You don't need to start over—you simply need to reconnect. One intentional choice today is far more powerful than waiting for the "perfect" Monday. Your body isn't asking for perfection. It's asking for consistency, compassion, and connection. • 202- Summer End Up Chaotic? How to End With More Regulation, Connection & Fun Without a Perfect Schedule 29.07.2026 40min
Did anyone else start summer with good intentions and then suddenly realize things felt a little chaotic? Between camps, vacations, changing schedules, kids being home more often, and trying to juggle work, family, and self-care, summer can quickly become overwhelming. While many of us crave structure, the reality is that summer rarely follows a perfectly organized schedule. The good news? Your nervous system doesn't need perfection. It needs predictability. In this episode, Dr. Des shares practical ways to create more regulation, connection, and enjoyment during the summer months without relying on rigid routines or unrealistic expectations. We'll discuss why summer can feel dysregulating, how flexible rhythms can support both parents and children, and simple ways to create more calm and fun in everyday life. In This Episode, We Explore: ☀️ Why summer can feel surprisingly overwhelming ☀️ How changes in routine impact the nervous system ☀️ The difference between rigid schedules and flexible rhythms ☀️ Why predictability helps children and adults feel more regulated ☀️ How overstimulation and mental load affect moms ☀️ Simple "anchor points" that can bring more calm to your day ☀️ The connection between nervous system regulation and pelvic floor health ☀️ Why fun, play, and connection matter for overall well-being ☀️ Practical ways to support yourself during a busy season Why This Matters When life feels chaotic, our bodies often respond by holding more tension, breathing more shallowly, sleeping less, and feeling more overwhelmed. This can impact everything from energy levels and stress management to pelvic floor symptoms and overall health. Creating small moments of predictability and connection can help support both physical and emotional well-being throughout the summer months. The Big Takeaway Your family doesn't need a perfect summer. They need a connected, present, and regulated version of you. Instead of chasing the perfect schedule, focus on creating simple rhythms that support your nervous system and leave room for spontaneity, fun, and meaningful connection. 🎉 Celebrating 200 Episodes! • 201- The Hidden Connection Between POTS, MCAS, Hypermobility, Pelvic Venous Disorder & Pelvic Floor Dysfunction 21.07.2026 37min
Have you ever felt like your symptoms are all over the place? Dizziness when standing. Racing heart. Pelvic pain. Bladder issues. Digestive symptoms. Fatigue. Pelvic pressure. Anxiety-like symptoms. What if these seemingly unrelated symptoms were actually connected? In this episode, Dr. Des explores the growing recognition of the relationship between Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS), Pelvic Venous Disorder (PeVD), hypermobility, and pelvic floor dysfunction. While these conditions are often treated separately, many women experience overlapping symptoms that can leave them feeling frustrated, dismissed, and searching for answers. We'll discuss how connective tissue, the nervous system, circulation, and pelvic floor function may all play a role in the bigger picture—and why a whole-body approach is often essential for lasting improvement. Whether you've been diagnosed with one of these conditions, suspect you may be dealing with symptoms, or simply want to better understand your body, this episode is packed with valuable information and validation. In This Episode, We Explore: 💛 What POTS is and common symptoms associated with dysautonomia 💛 What MCAS is and how mast cells affect multiple body systems 💛 What Pelvic Venous Disorder (PeVD) is and why it is often overlooked 💛 The role connective tissue and hypermobility may play 💛 Why pelvic floor symptoms are so common in these populations 💛 The connection between circulation, pressure management, and pelvic health 💛 Why strengthening alone isn't always the answer 💛 How nervous system regulation and whole-body care can support recovery 💛 When it may be appropriate to seek additional evaluation or support Why This Matters Many women spend years trying to piece together symptoms that seem unrelated. Unfortunately, many are told their symptoms are "just stress" or "just anxiety" without receiving a full explanation of what may be happening in their bodies. Understanding the connections between these conditions can help women feel validated, empowered, and better equipped to advocate for their health. The Big Takeaway Your symptoms may not be random. Sometimes they're clues pointing toward a bigger picture. When we begin looking at the body as an interconnected system rather than isolated parts, we often uncover opportunities for healing, support, and better symptom management. 🎉 Celebrating 200 Episodes! The Pelvic Floor, Core & More Podcast is approaching its 200th episode, and I couldn't be more grateful for this amazing community. • 200- Hypermobility & Pelvic Floor Issues // Why Being Flexible Isn't Always an Advantage 10.07.2026 27min
Have you always been the "flexible" one? And/Or Do you have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome (EDS)? Can you easily touch your palms to the floor, bend into unusual positions, or feel like your joints are extra loose? While flexibility is often seen as a good thing, hypermobility can come with its own unique challenges—especially when it comes to pelvic floor health, core stability, pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and chronic pain. In this episode, Dr. Des explores the often-overlooked connection between hypermobility and pelvic floor dysfunction, why many hypermobile women experience symptoms such as leaking, prolapse, pelvic pain, and instability, and what they can do to better support their bodies. If you've ever felt like you're constantly stretching but still feel tight, this episode may explain why. In This Episode, We Explore: 🦓 What hypermobility actually is 🦓 Why hypermobility is more common in women 🦓 Common symptoms associated with hypermobility 🦓 The connection between hypermobility and pelvic floor dysfunction 🦓 Why hypermobile people often feel tight despite being flexible 🦓 Why stretching isn't always the answer 🦓 How strength, stability, and coordination support hypermobile bodies 🦓 Practical strategies for improving pelvic floor and core function Why This Matters Many hypermobile women spend years feeling confused about their symptoms. They may be told to stretch more, do more yoga, or simply accept discomfort as normal. But hypermobility often requires a different approach. Building strength, improving joint stability, enhancing body awareness, and learning how to manage load can make a significant difference in symptoms and overall function. The Big Takeaway You can be both flexible and tight at the same time. For many hypermobile women, the answer isn't more stretching—it's more support. Your body isn't broken. It may simply need a different strategy. 🎉 Celebrating 200 Episodes! The Pelvic Floor, Core & More Podcast is approaching its 200th episode, and I wanted to celebrate with all of you who have listened, shared episodes, left reviews, and supported this community along the way. • 199- Returning to Running Postpartum // When Is It Safe & How Do You Know You're Ready? 01.07.2026 24min
One of the most common questions new moms ask is: "When can I start running again after having a baby?" The answer isn't always as simple as being cleared at your six-week postpartum appointment. Running places significant demands on your pelvic floor, core, hips, and entire body. While many women are eager to return to the activities they love, returning too quickly—or without a plan—can contribute to symptoms such as leaking, pelvic pressure, heaviness, pain, or feelings of instability. In this episode, Dr. Des breaks down what postpartum women should consider before returning to running, common signs your body may need more preparation, and practical strategies to help you return safely and confidently. Whether you're six weeks postpartum, six months postpartum, or several years postpartum and still struggling with symptoms while running, this episode is for you. In This Episode, We Explore: 🏃‍♀️ Why running is more demanding than many women realize 🏃‍♀️ Why "cleared" doesn't always mean "ready" 🏃‍♀️ Common signs your body may need more preparation before running 🏃‍♀️ Pelvic floor symptoms to watch for 🏃‍♀️ Strength and movement benchmarks before returning to impact 🏃‍♀️ How to safely progress back into running 🏃‍♀️ The role of core, glute, and pelvic floor strength 🏃‍♀️ Common mistakes women make when returning to running postpartum Why This Matters Returning to running is not simply about waiting for tissues to heal. It's about rebuilding strength, pressure management, endurance, coordination, and impact tolerance. A thoughtful progression can help reduce symptoms, build confidence, and create a stronger foundation for long-term success. The Big Takeaway Your body isn't behind. You don't need to rush. Running is a progression—not a milestone. With the right preparation and support, you can return to running feeling strong, confident, and connected to your body. Need Support? • 198- Summer Exercise Snacks // How to Stay Strong Without Spending Hours Working Out 24.06.2026 27min
Summer schedules can be chaotic. Between kids being home, camps, vacations, sports, travel, and all the fun that comes with this season, finding time for a full workout can feel impossible. The good news? You don't need an hour-long gym session to support your health. In this episode, Dr. Des introduces the concept of "exercise snacks" — short bursts of intentional movement sprinkled throughout your day that can help you stay strong, consistent, and connected to your body all summer long. We discuss simple ways to incorporate breathwork, mobility, core work, walking, and strength into your daily routine without the pressure of a perfect workout schedule. If you've ever thought, "I'll get back into my routine after summer," this episode is for you. In This Episode, We Explore: ☀️ What exercise snacks are and why they work ☀️ Why consistency matters more than long workouts ☀️ My favorite 3-10 minute movement ideas for busy moms ☀️ How exercise snacks can support your pelvic floor and core ☀️ Easy ways to build movement into your day ☀️ Why all-or-nothing thinking keeps so many women stuck ☀️ How to create a realistic summer movement routine Why This Matters Your body doesn't need perfection. It needs consistency. Movement doesn't have to happen in a gym or require a full hour of uninterrupted time to be effective. Small, intentional moments of movement throughout your day can improve strength, mobility, energy, stress levels, and overall pelvic floor function. Summer doesn't have to be a season where you lose progress or put your health on hold. It can be a season where you learn to work with your life instead of against it. The Big Takeaway You don't need more time. You need more opportunities. Five intentional minutes count. A quick walk counts. A short mobility session counts. A few strength exercises while your kids play count. The goal isn't perfection — it's staying connected to your body. Want Support This Summer? • 197- What Your Rib Cage Has to Do With Leaking, Diastasis & Core Weakness 17.06.2026 21min
Most women think of their core as their abs—but your core is so much more than that. Your rib cage, diaphragm, pelvic floor, and abdominal wall all work together as a pressure management system. When one piece isn't functioning well, the entire system can struggle. In this episode, Dr. Des dives into one of the most overlooked components of core and pelvic floor health: the rib cage. We discuss how pregnancy, postpartum recovery, stress, posture, and even modern lifestyles can impact rib mobility, breathing mechanics, and ultimately your ability to generate strength and support. If you've been dealing with core weakness, pelvic floor symptoms, diastasis recti, chronic tension, or feel like you've hit a plateau in your recovery, this episode may help uncover a missing piece of the puzzle. In This Episode, We Explore: ✨ Why your rib cage is an important part of your core system ✨ How breathing, posture, and pressure management are connected ✨ The effects of pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and stress on rib mobility ✨ Common signs your rib cage may not be moving well ✨ The difference between rib flare and healthy rib movement ✨ How rib mobility affects your pelvic floor and core function ✨ Simple exercises to improve rib cage mobility and breathing Why This Matters A strong core isn't just about stronger abs. Your ability to breathe, rotate, move, and manage pressure all depend on how well your rib cage and diaphragm function within the larger core system. • 196- Not All Breathing Is the Same // The Difference Between Breathwork and Breathing for Core Strength 12.06.2026 27min
If you've ever been told to "just breathe" for your pelvic floor, core, stress, or recovery... you may have wondered: What kind of breathing are we actually talking about? Because not all breathing serves the same purpose. In this episode, Dr. Des breaks down the important difference between breathwork for nervous system regulation and relaxation versus breathing within a brace for core strength, stability, and pressure management. You'll learn why both are valuable, when to use each, and why understanding the difference can be a game changer for pelvic floor health, exercise performance, pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and everyday movement. If you've ever felt confused by conflicting advice around breathing, core engagement, or pelvic floor function, this episode will help connect the dots. In This Episode, We Explore: ✨ The difference between breathwork and breathing for stability ✨ How breathing affects the nervous system, stress, and muscle tension ✨ What "breathing within a brace" actually means ✨ Why relaxation and support are both important for pelvic floor health ✨ Common mistakes like breath holding, belly sucking, and over-bracing ✨ When to focus on nervous system regulation versus pressure management ✨ How breathing changes during exercise, lifting, running, and daily activities ✨ Why adaptability is the true goal for your core and pelvic floor   Why This Matters One of the biggest misconceptions in pelvic floor rehab is that there is one "right" way to breathe. In reality, your body needs different breathing strategies for different situations. Sometimes your nervous system needs relaxation and recovery. Other times your body needs stability, pressure management, and support. Learning how to move between those states is often the missing piece for women dealing with leaking, pelvic pain, prolapse, core weakness, tension, or difficulty returning to exercise.   The Big Takeaway The healthiest pelvic floor isn't always relaxed. And it isn't always braced. It's adaptable. Your body should be able to relax when it needs recovery and create support when life demands strength. That flexibility is what allows you to move, lift, exercise, parent, and live with confidence.   Want to Learn How to Apply This? Inside the Pelvic Floor, Core & More App and RESTORE, you'll learn how to use breathwork, pressure management, mobility, and strength training together to create a core and pelvic floor that are strong, responsive, and resilient.   ✨ Learn more here: https://balancedmomtality.com/the-app   Want a Guided Healing and Rehab Program to Help You Reconnect and RESTORE? • 192- Have Low Back or Pelvic Pain? // All About SIJ Dysfunction (And What to Do About It) 20.05.2026 32min
Pain on one side of your low back? Sharp discomfort when rolling in bed, climbing stairs, getting out of the car, or carrying your baby? It might not be “just back pain.” In this episode, Dr. Des breaks down sacroiliac (SI) joint pain — a common but often misunderstood source of low back, buttock, hip, and pelvic pain, especially during pregnancy and postpartum. You’ll learn what the SI joint does, why women are particularly prone to SI joint dysfunction, how the pelvic floor and core play a crucial role in stability, and what strategies can help you feel stronger and move with less pain. If you’ve ever been told your pelvis is “out of alignment” or you’ve been stretching endlessly without lasting relief, this episode will help you understand what may really be going on. In This Episode, We Explore: What the sacroiliac (SI) joint is and why it matters Common symptoms of SI joint pain Why pregnancy and postpartum increase the risk of pelvic instability How the pelvic floor, core, and glutes support the SI joint The myth of being “out of alignment” Why stability often matters more than stretching Practical strategies to reduce SI joint pain and improve function When to seek pelvic floor physical therapy Common Symptoms of SI Joint Pain One-sided low back pain Pain near the dimples of the lower back Buttock or hip pain Groin pain Pain rolling in bed Pain with stairs or single-leg activities Pain when carrying your baby Discomfort during pregnancy or postpartum Why This Matters The SI joint serves as a key connection point between your spine and legs. When your core, pelvic floor, and hips are not coordinating well, this area can become irritated and painful. The good news? Most SI joint pain responds very well to the right combination of: ✨ Breathwork ✨ Mobility and release work ✨ Glute and core strengthening ✨ Pressure management ✨ Functional movement strategies This is exactly the whole-body approach we use inside the Pelvic Floor, Core & More App and RESTORE. • 191- Diastasis Recti (DRA) Rehab Beyond Core Strengthening // 3 Things You Need Besides Exercise to Actually Heal Your Core 14.05.2026 26min
If you’ve been doing all the “right” core exercises for your diastasis recti… but your core still feels weak, domes, bulges, or disconnected — you may be missing some major pieces of the puzzle. Because healing diastasis recti is about so much more than just strengthening your abs. In this episode, Dr. Des breaks down three often-overlooked areas that can make a huge difference in core healing: fascial and soft tissue mobility, breathwork, and rib cage mobility. We discuss why these pieces matter, how they affect pressure and core function, and why exercise alone may not fully address the problem. If you’ve felt frustrated by slow progress, lingering weakness, or confusion around what actually helps diastasis heal, this conversation will help you better understand what your body may truly need.   In This Episode, We Explore: What diastasis recti actually is Why strengthening alone sometimes falls short The role of fascia and soft tissue mobility in core function How breathing patterns impact pressure and healing Why rib cage mobility matters more than most women realize What true “core healing” actually looks like Common mistakes women make during recovery Why This Matters: Your core is not just muscles — it’s a coordinated system involving your diaphragm, abdominal wall, pelvic floor, fascia, posture, and breath. When one part of the system is restricted or not functioning well, the body often compensates with gripping, pressure, or instability patterns that can keep women feeling stuck. This whole-body approach to healing is exactly what we focus on inside the Pelvic Floor, Core & More App and RESTORE, where women are guided through breathwork, mobility, strengthening, and pressure management in a way that actually supports long-term function.   ✨ Learn more here: https://balancedmomtality.com/the-app   Want a Guided Healing and Rehab Program to Help You Reconnect and RESTORE? • 190- Hysterectomy Recovery // What No One Tells You About Healing Your Core & Pelvic Floor After Surgery 07.05.2026 28min
A hysterectomy is one of the most common surgeries women undergo — yet so many women are sent home with very little guidance on how to actually heal, rebuild strength, and reconnect with their body afterward. If you’ve ever felt weak, disconnected, tight, unstable, or unsure how to safely return to movement after a hysterectomy… this episode is for you. In this conversation, Dr. Des breaks down what really happens to the core, pelvic floor, scar tissue, and nervous system after surgery, why being “cleared” doesn’t always mean fully healed, and the key things women should understand when it comes to long-term recovery. Because hysterectomy recovery is about so much more than just the incision healing. In This Episode, We Explore: What actually needs to heal after a hysterectomy Common symptoms women experience after surgery Why scar tissue and pressure management matter The role of the core, breath, and pelvic floor in recovery What women are often not told about rehab How to safely rebuild strength and confidence Why rest alone is not the full answer Why This Matters Many women are told to simply wait six weeks and slowly return to normal activity — but true healing often requires more support, guidance, and intentional rehabilitation. With the right approach, women can improve strength, reduce symptoms, feel more connected to their body, and return to movement with greater confidence. This whole-body approach to healing is exactly what we focus on inside the Pelvic Floor, Core & More App and RESTORE, where women are guided through breathwork, mobility, strength, and pelvic floor-friendly progression designed to support real-life recovery. ✨ Learn more here: https://balancedmomtality.com/the-app   Want a Guided Healing and Rehab Program to Help You Reconnect and RESTORE? • 189- Why You Might Feel Worse Before You Feel Better in Rehab 04.05.2026 19min
Have you ever started doing the “right” exercises… only to feel more sore, more aware of symptoms, or more discouraged? It can be easy to assume something is wrong or that your program isn’t working — but that’s not always the case.   In this episode, Dr. Des explains why some women temporarily feel worse before they feel better when beginning rehab or rebuilding strength. We discuss how healing often includes increased awareness, nervous system changes, new tissue loading, and learning how to move differently.   If you’ve ever questioned whether you’re doing enough, doing too much, or if your body is responding the “right” way, this conversation will help you understand what’s normal, what to watch for, and how to keep moving forward with confidence.   In This Episode, We Explore: Why symptoms can temporarily flare during rehab The difference between soreness, awareness, and true setbacks How the nervous system impacts healing Common signs of normal adaptation vs red flags What to do if your symptoms increase temporarily Why proper progression matters Why This Matters   Healing is not always a straight line.   Sometimes the body needs time to adapt, rebuild capacity, and learn new movement patterns before things start to feel easier. Understanding this process can reduce fear, prevent quitting too soon, and help you stay consistent with the work that matters.   This is exactly why structured guidance inside RESTORE and the Pelvic Floor, Core & More App can be so powerful — because you don’t have to guess what’s normal or what to do next.   ✨ Learn more here: https://balancedmomtality.com/the-app   Want a Guided Healing and Rehab Program to Help You Reconnect and RESTORE? A c-section is one of the most common surgeries in the world,  yet many women are sent home with very little guidance on how to truly recover. If you’ve had a c-section and felt unsure how to heal your core, manage scar tissue, return to exercise, or feel connected to your body again… this episode is for you. In this conversation, Dr. Des breaks down what c-section recovery actually involves, common symptoms many moms experience but rarely talk about, and the key steps that can help you rebuild strength, confidence, and function after birth. Because being “cleared at 6 weeks” does not always mean fully healed. In This Episode, We Explore: What actually needs healing after a c-section Common symptoms like pulling, numbness, shelfing, weakness, and back pain Why scar tissue matters more than most women realize Early recovery tips that support healing How to safely rebuild core and pelvic floor strength Why emotional recovery matters too Why This Matters C-section recovery deserves more than rest and vague instructions. • 186- Can Cannabis Help Your Pelvic Floor? // What Women Should Know About CBD, THC & Pelvic Pain 20.04.2026 28min
With more women exploring natural and alternative tools for pain relief, stress support, and nervous system regulation, many are asking an important question: Can cannabis actually help pelvic floor symptoms? In this episode, Dr. Des breaks down the potential role of CBD, THC, and cannabis-based products when it comes to pelvic pain, tension, painful intimacy, stress, sleep, and overall pelvic health. We explore what current research and clinical experience suggest, how cannabis may support symptom relief for some women, and where it can fall short if deeper movement, strength, scar tissue, or coordination issues are being ignored. If you’ve been curious about whether cannabis might help with symptoms like pelvic pain, anxiety, painful intercourse, endometriosis discomfort, or chronic pelvic tension, this episode offers a balanced and realistic perspective. In This Episode, We Explore: The difference between CBD and THC How cannabis may impact pain, tension, and nervous system regulation Why pelvic floor symptoms often have multiple root causes When cannabis may help symptom relief — and when it won’t The difference between temporary relief and long-term healing Important cautions and considerations for women Why This Matters Many women are looking for better solutions than simply being told to “live with it.” Cannabis may be one supportive tool in the toolbox — but true healing often requires a bigger picture approach including movement, mobility, strength, breathwork, and nervous system support. That whole-body approach is exactly what we focus on inside RESTORE and the Pelvic Floor, Core & More App.   Want a Guided Healing and Rehab Program to Help You Reconnect and RESTORE?
