  Radebe Denies Knowledge Of Secret Prosecution Talks 22.09.2026 4นาที

  Former Justice Minister Jeff Radebe says he was never involved in, or made aware of, secret negotiations between the ANC and the apartheid government concerning post-TRC prosecutions. Testifying at the TRC cases inquiry, Radebe says he first became aware of talks between the ANC leadership and the apartheid regime while he was imprisoned on Robben Island. He says Nelson Mandela later briefed some ANC members at Victor Verster prison in 1989, but he was not part of those discussions.  The TRC cases inquiry continue its cross-examination of former Justice Minister Jeff Radebe.

  North West businessman and self-proclaimed political fixer Brown Mogotsi has been denied bail in his fourth application. The Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court found that the addresses presented by Mogotsi did not constitute new facts, as they had already been considered in his previous bail applications. He faces multiple charges including unlawful possession of a firearm.   Water restrictions are on the cards in the Western Cape as dam levels decline ahead of the hot summer months. The latest figures show the Cape Town Water Supply System at 76.6 percent, compared with 92.3 percent at the same time last year. Thee waterskloof Dam, the system's largest, is at 76.8 percent.   The case against the alleged Cato Manor serial rapist has been postponed in the Durban Magistrates Court to Monday, the 28th of September. This is to allow the state to find out if there are any outstanding charges against the 46-year old man.
