  I think we've all done something sort of half-heartedly. We may have gotten away with it in school, or on the job, but when we try to go that route in our relationship with God we get into real trouble every time. Our example is King Amaziah. He was faithful early on in his reign, but after he united with the ungodly, his relationship with the Lord went downhill.   Many of us are blessed with precious and godly influences in our lives whether it's a dad, friend, or even co-worker. Let's say, they're suddenly taken from you. What would happen to you?   I think most of us have at the very least been tempted to enter into a partnership with someone who is far from the Lord. But when we align ourselves with an evil person, we're asking for trouble. Our example today is the King we've been studying here on Hope From The Word. King Jehoshaphat was a righteous and godly leader, but his son Jehoram did not follow is his father's footsteps. Rather if it hadn't been for God's promise to King David to have a descendant of his on the throne forever Jehoram would have been a goner.
