87 | Stop Asking Everyone But God! The Spiritual Healing in Knowing God's Character 15.09.2026 14dkHave you ever taken a vote among friends about what God is really like, instead of just asking Him yourself?Do you find yourself piecing together your faith from other people's opinions, secretly wondering if any of them actually have it right?Tired of hearing ten different answers to "is God good" and still not knowing what you actually believe? In this episode, I get honest about a season when I was struggling with my faith and started polling people for their opinions on God, basically taking a consensus instead of going to the source. Thankfully I learned discernment along the way, but here's the shift: the best place to learn who God is, is from God Himself. I walk through a simple practice, opening your Bible, going to the index, and looking up His characteristics, as the real way to answer "is God good," because you'll know Him from Him, not from everyone else's take. Knowing His character for yourself is where the spiritual healing starts. This episode is for the weary mom who's been collecting other people's opinions about God instead of trusting her own relationship with Him. We all have different relationships with God, because we're all different people, and that's exactly as it should be. We should talk about God every chance we get, we just have to be careful whose opinions we actually let shape what we believe, because a lot of people get God wrong. Practice mentioned in this episode: Open your Bible, go to the index, and look up God's characteristics, a simple way to know His character straight from Him. 86 | Have Patience With Yourself: Pass Your Stress to God With Biblical Emotional Regulation 08.09.2026 20dkHave you ever told someone "you are stressing me out" and realized they were asking for something you simply didn't have the capacity to give?Do you feel weary, stretched past your limit, and starting to notice it in your body and your health? What if you didn't have to grip your way through the spiral, or pretend to God that it isn't happening? In this episode, Ash walks through a framework for passing what you're carrying straight to God, before it takes over your day, your body, and your relationships. Scripture already tells us to cast our anxiety on Him. This is about what that actually looks like in the moment, when the pressure is building and you can feel yourself about to lose it. Biblical emotional regulation isn't about suppressing what you feel or performing calm you don't have. It's staying completely honest with God while handing Him the weight instead of gripping it tighter. You'll also hear why having patience with yourself is not the same as making excuses, and why the goal was never a perfect relationship with God, just the one you actually want with Him. Ash teaches the full framework inside this episode. 85 | What You Scroll Is Shaping You: The Self Control to Protect Your Peace From What You Consume 01.09.2026 16dkHave you ever gotten so pulled into a story, a trial, a show, or somebody else's life online that you couldn't put it down? Do you feel weary and anxious and can't quite trace where it started? What if the thing quietly draining your peace isn't your circumstances at all, but what you've been letting in? In this episode, Ash gets honest about becoming deeply invested in the Lindsay Clancy trial and the Secret Life of Mormon Wives, and what Scripture says about protecting what reaches your heart. There's nothing wrong with caring, but Proverbs tells us to guard our hearts above all else, and that "above all else" was never a suggestion. We're called to love people and serve them, but not at the cost of the very thing our connection with God runs through. Ash takes a deep dive through Proverbs 4 to unpack what guarding your heart actually looks like: watching what you consume, keeping your eyes fixed forward, and hiding God's word where it can do its work. This is self control applied where most of us never think to apply it, and the peace from God you've been chasing may be waiting on the other side of it. The best way to guard your heart is to drop everything and run to Jesus. 84 | Is It God’s Will To Hit Rock Bottom? The Emotional Regulation Prayer That Rescued Me 25.08.2026 16dkHave you ever had to fall apart completely before you could finally accept the help that was right in front of you?Do you feel weary and out of control, like you need more self control just to hold it together, wondering if you had to hit rock bottom just to notice God was trying to rescue you the whole time?If you're anxious, unhappy, and struggling to regulate your emotions right now, asking "God, really? Did I have to suffer this much?"... this episode is for you. In this episode, I open up about something I don't love talking about — because look where I am now. But I know I need to say it, because I needed to hear it. For a long time, it was easy for me to blame God for my hardships. I needed to hit rock bottom before I could actually appreciate the rescue He had in store for me. But here's what I've learned: God doesn't delight in our suffering. He's concerned for us, and He rescues us. But we have to pray. 82 | One Comment Can Steal Your Whole Day: How Emotional Regulation With God Protects Your Peace 11.08.2026 10dkHave you ever worked so hard to protect your peace, only to have one comment, one hard day, or one person's opinion steal it away?Do you feel weary, overwhelmed, and exhausted from trying to control everything around you just to feel okay? What if peace with God isn't a nice bonus for good seasons, but the one thing you can't afford to let anyone take? In this episode, Ash gets honest about the difference between the peace she used to fight for and the peace she found through God. For years, she believed protecting her peace meant controlling her environment, avoiding conflict, and holding everything together herself. But that kind of peace never lasted, because it depended entirely on her. Real emotional regulation with God works the other way around: you stop managing your own calm and start receiving His. If you are a weary mom searching for peace in the middle of chaos, peace with God was never something you had to manufacture. It's something He wants to give you, and it's non-negotiable. Protect it. 81 | God's Silence Is Not His Absence: The Patience to Keep Praying When You Can't See God's Will 04.08.2026 11dkHave you been praying every day but feel like no one is listening?Do you feel so weary and overwhelmed that you're wondering how to hear from God when all you experience is silence? Are you desperate for peace and longing to grow closer to God, but don't know how to pray when He feels far away? In this episode, Ash shares the season that nearly broke her faith while caring for her medically complex son. After countless prayers and what felt like endless silence, she realized that God's silence was never the same thing as His absence. You'll hear why prayer can feel one-sided in the hardest seasons, what Scripture teaches about the patience of waiting on God, and how to stop chasing answers so you can start recognizing His presence instead. Ash also shares the simple prayer framework she uses every time she prays now, the one that helped her grow closer to God and trust Him when life stopped making sense. 80 | Why I Stopped Praying "Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep" With My Kids: The Spiritual Healing in a New Bedtime Prayer 28.07.2026 7dkDo you feel weary when your head hits the pillow because your mind won't stop replaying fears, worries, and "what ifs"?Did a prayer you learned as a child leave you feeling anxious about God instead of experiencing the peace from God Scripture talks about? What if the bedtime prayer you have said for years was actually shaping the way you see God? In this episode, Ash shares the moment she stopped saying "Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep" with her own kids because she realized the words were creating fear instead of peace. So many of us grew up carrying fears we never named. Fear of doing something wrong. Fear of punishment. Fear that God was waiting for us to fail. But Scripture describes a God who invites us into rest, hope, and peace instead. You'll hear what the Bible says about where your soul actually finds rest, how fear shapes the way you pray, and a simple bedtime peace prayer you can use tonight with your family. 79 | Is God Good When Bad Things Happen? Spiritual Healing for the Mom Who's Been Told She Doesn't Believe Enough 21.07.2026 13dkHave you ever gone through something so hard you found yourself asking, "God, really? How could a good God let this happen to me?"Was your faith built on love or on fear of punishment, so the moment life fell apart, your trust in God started to vanish and unbelief crept in?Have you ever been called foolish, or "not faithful enough," for questioning if God is good after a loss? In this episode, I'm reopening the story of a woman Scripture has been used to villainize, Job's wife, and asking whether she was really foolish to blame God and question if He is good after watching all ten of her children die. I'm sharing my own three years of walking away after my son wasn't healed, and what finally brought me back: realizing I never stopped believing in the true God, only the God I was terrified of. We'll talk about the two things real faith actually needs, belief and trust in God, why grief and lament and honesty are not sins, and the first steps toward spiritual healing when your faith feels fragile. This one is for the weary mom who's been blamed for "not believing enough" and needs to know God is for her, not against her. 78 | Why Confession Was Never Meant to Shame You: The Spiritual Healing Fire-and-Brimstone Church Never Taught 14.07.2026 10dkDid you grow up believing God was angry with you every time you sinned?Do the words confession and repentance make you feel guilty, ashamed, or afraid instead of experiencing the peace from God the Bible promises? What if everything you were taught about confession and repentance made you fear God instead of helping you trust in God? If you grew up in a fire-and-brimstone church, this episode may completely change how you see God. Ash shares how walking away from faith, and eventually returning to Scripture, changed everything she believed about confession, repentance, and God's character. You'll hear why confession of sins was never meant to produce shame, how Jesus fulfilled the sacrificial system once and for all, and why God is inviting you closer instead of waiting to condemn you. 77 | God Is In Control Even When You Aren't: Modeling Emotional Regulation and Faith for Your Kids 07.07.2026 6dkDo you feel like you're losing control, and your kids are watching every bit of how you respond?Have you ever felt like you can't help your kids grow in faith because you're still trying to heal your own? In this episode, Ash shares a deeply personal moment after receiving difficult news about Maximus and the heartbreak of realizing what his future may look like. In the middle of grief and uncertainty, she made a choice: she turned to God. Not with perfect faith, not with all the answers, but because she needed Jesus. Your kids don't learn patience from a mom who never loses it. They learn it by watching what you do next, which is why biblical emotional regulation is something you model rather than something you explain. Ash shares why modeling faith isn't about pretending you have self control you don't have, or never questioning God. It's about showing your children that even when your faith feels as small as a mustard seed, God is in control, God is present, and God is good. If you've been questioning God, losing control of circumstances you can't fix, or wondering how to help your kids grow in faith while you're still in your own spiritual healing, your imperfect faith can still point them toward Him. 76 | What Is Faith? Why Mustard Seed Faith Is Enough to Start Your Spiritual Healing 30.06.2026 13dkWhat happens when the thing you prayed for doesn't happen and you start wondering if you can really trust God?Do you feel like your faith is too small to matter, like you'd need mountain sized faith to see anything change?Do you feel like you're losing control because your circumstances are bigger than your ability to fix them? Here's what Jesus actually said: faith the size of a mustard seed moves mountains. Not mountain sized faith. A seed. In this episode, Ash shares how her son's diagnosis revealed something she never expected: her faith wasn't broken because life was hard, it was built on a foundation that couldn't hold when life became painful. For years she believed faith meant believing hard enough for the outcome she wanted, as if enough faith could control God's response. But the mustard seed dismantles that math completely. The size of your faith was never what produced the outcome. God did. Your part is trusting in God when you can't see the end and believing God is good when nothing makes sense. If you've been losing control, questioning God, or quietly certain your faith is too small to count, this episode is where you stop measuring it and start the spiritual healing of simply trusting Him with it. Sometimes faith looks less like certainty and more like: "God, I'm still here." And that is enough. 75 | What Moses Told Parents First: Why Your Spiritual Healing Shapes Your Kids' Faith 23.06.2026 7dkHave you ever wondered how you're supposed to help your kids trust God when you're still rebuilding your own faith?Do you worry you're not doing enough to point them toward God?What if your kids don't need a perfect example of faith, just a real one? In this episode, Ash looks at Deuteronomy 6 and the instruction Moses gave about passing faith down to the next generation. Before parents were told to teach their children about God, they were first told to let God's truth transform their own hearts. Your kids are learning about God from more than what you say. They're watching where you turn when you're weary, overwhelmed, and losing control, which means your self control in hard moments is teaching them more than any lesson will. When they see you pray through the hard thing and seek God when you need help, they learn He isn't distant or impossible to please. He's someone they can run toward. If you've been questioning God, struggling to find peace, or wondering whether your faith is strong enough to matter to your family, your own spiritual healing and their faith were never two separate projects. Your kids do not need a perfect faith. They need to see a real one. 74 | Stop Apologizing for Being Angry at God: How Emotional Regulation Happens Through Prayer 16.06.2026 14dkHave you ever been angry at God but felt like you were not allowed to admit it?Do you feel weary because you have prayed, trusted, and tried to do everything right, but your life still feels completely out of your control? What if your anger, disappointment, and questions are not signs your faith is failing, but the exact things God wants you to bring to Him? Most of us were never taught what to do when we're angry at God. We were taught to pray harder, trust more, and keep the right attitude. But what happens when your heart is hurting and pretending everything is okay feels impossible? In this episode, Ash shares why honest emotions do not scare God, and why the Bible makes room for the prayers we're afraid to say out loud. Through Psalm 22 and the story of Job, Ash explains how lament became one of the most honest forms of prayer in Scripture. Biblical emotional regulation was never about suppressing what you feel or performing self control you don't have. It's about learning how to pray your real emotions instead of burying them. 73 | Afraid You'll Give Your Kids Your Fear of God? The Spiritual Healing That Stops It From Passing Down 11.06.2026 8dkHave you ever heard yourself saying something about God to your kids and suddenly realized, "Wait, that sounds exactly like what I grew up hearing"?Do you feel weary trying to teach your kids about God because you want them to know Him, but you're still healing your own relationship with Him?Do you want your kids to run toward God for peace and comfort, but you're afraid of accidentally passing down fear instead? Many moms want their kids to know God, but there's a deeper fear underneath that desire: what if I accidentally give them the same fear of God I grew up with? In this episode, Ash talks about what happens when the version of God we were handed doesn't match the God revealed in Scripture. If you grew up believing God was mostly disappointed, waiting for you to mess up, or impossible to please, it can feel overwhelming to teach your children about Him, especially when those old messages are the first ones out of your mouth when you're parenting. Ash shares how Romans 5:8 and 1 John 4:18 reveal that God is love and moves toward us without fear, and why raising kids who trust God doesn't require you to have everything figured out first. Your children aren't looking for a perfect example. They're watching what you do when you need forgiveness, when you make mistakes, and when you need God. You'll learn how to start building family prayers and conversations that help your kids see God as safe, loving, and good, while your own spiritual healing is still in progress. The goal is not raising kids who are afraid of God. The goal is raising kids who know they can always run to Him. 72 | Stop Bracing for God's Anger: Spiritual Healing for the Mom Who Thinks She's Being Punished 09.06.2026 10dkFaith-Filled Home is now God, Really? Have you ever wondered if God is good when your life keeps getting harder instead of easier?Do you feel weary when something goes wrong and immediately start asking, "What did I do wrong?"What if the hard things happening in your life are not proof that God is against you? Something goes wrong, and your first thought isn't "God is with me." It's "Did I do something wrong? Is God upset with me? Am I being punished?" In this episode, Ash shares the hospital waiting room moment that exposed a belief she didn't realize she was carrying: that her son's diagnoses were connected to God correcting or punishing her. This is the hidden fear so many moms carry. We love God, but deep down we're still waiting for Him to be disappointed in us. Ash unpacks why transactional faith makes us believe we can control outcomes if we just pray enough, believe enough, or do everything right, and she walks through healing scriptures including Jeremiah 29:11, Romans 5:8, Psalm 34:18, and Romans 8:28 to show that God's goodness does not disappear when life hurts. If you've been weary, overwhelmed, or secretly wondering whether God is allowing hard things because you deserve them, this is where the spiritual healing starts: learning to separate the voice of fear from the character of God. Your pain is real. Your questions are allowed. And God is still good. 71 | Stop Teaching Your Kids to Earn God's Love: The Spiritual Healing Hiding in the Ten Commandments 04.06.2026 10dkFaith-Filled Home is now God, Really? Do the words "Ten Commandments" make you immediately think of rules, punishment, and all the ways you could get something wrong?Do you feel weary trying to teach your kids about God because you want them to love Him, not fear Him?What if the Ten Commandments were never meant to make you feel like you could never measure up? If God's commands make you feel more anxious than encouraged, you are not alone. Many of us grew up seeing them as a list of rules we had to follow perfectly, a standard we'd never reach, a reminder of everything we might get wrong. But what if we learned the story in the wrong order? In this episode, Ash walks through Exodus and the moment that changes how we understand God's commands. Before God gave the Israelites instructions, He first rescued them. He did not say "obey me so I will save you." He saved them first, then taught them how to live in relationship with Him. That order is the whole answer to whether God is good, and it changes everything for moms trying to teach their kids about God without passing down fear, shame, or performance-based faith. You don't need a perfect faith or a perfect lesson plan. You can start by showing them a God who rescues, loves, and walks with His people. Obedience was always meant to flow from love. 70 | Exhausted From Proving Yourself to God? Why Self Control Comes After Rescue, Not Before It 02.06.2026 14dkFaith-Filled Home is now God, Really? Do the words "Ten Commandments" instantly make you feel weary, guilty, or like you're already failing God?Have you spent years trying to follow the rules, control your behavior, and be "good enough" while secretly wondering if God is disappointed in you? What if the commandments were never meant to make you feel trapped, but were given after God already proved He was for you? If you grew up believing God was waiting for you to mess up, the Ten Commandments may feel more like a list of ways to fail than a gift from a loving Father. In this episode, Ash goes back to Exodus 20 and uncovers the part of the story many of us missed: God rescued His people before He gave them commands. Relationship came before rules. Love came before obedience. So many moms carry fear and the need to control their faith because they were taught to see God as someone they had to impress instead of someone who had already reached for them. Through Romans 3:23-24 and Ephesians 2:8-9, you'll see that your worth was never based on your ability to follow the rules perfectly, and that self control was never the price of God's love. The commandments were never about earning it. They were about responding to the God who already loved you. If you've been exhausted trying to prove yourself to God, He was never asking you to earn what He freely gives. Free Resource: Not sure what your next step with God is? 69 | Your Kids Learn God From Your Reflexes: The Patience It Takes to Unlearn Fear First 28.05.2026 8dkHave you ever opened your mouth to talk to your kids about God and realized you sounded exactly like the words that scared you growing up?Do you believe God is loving, but still picture Him as disappointed, angry, or waiting for you to mess up?What if the peace you want your kids to have with God starts with healing the way you see Him first? Many moms want their kids to know God is good, loving, and safe. But when you grew up with a fear-based view of God, it's hard to know what to pass down and what needs to be healed first. In this episode, Ash unpacks the difference between a God who watches over His children and a God we feel we have to hide from. Through Exodus 3:7 and 1 John 4:18, she shows what Scripture actually reveals about God's character: He sees, He hears, He cares, and He moves toward His people. You'll hear why so many moms carry anxiety around their relationship with God, how fear shapes the way we talk about Him with our kids, and how to pray using the BAM framework so the words your family hears point toward love instead of fear. This isn't about becoming a perfect mom with perfect faith. It's about creating a home where your kids run toward God instead of hiding from Him. If you've ever wondered whether God is good, or worried your own struggles with faith might reach your children, your spiritual healing is where theirs begins.
