  • These 7 Habits Hold INFPs Back from Being Respected 16.09.2026 20dk
I got on a train in Japan about twenty years ago.My friend convinced me to get on the Green car.I didn't buy the upgraded ticket. When the conductor walked down the aisle asking to see it, I froze. Instead of just owning the mistake, I pulled out the stupid foreigner routine. “I don't know, I don't know.”She let it go. But I felt dirty afterward.I pretended to be small, innocent, and confused so I could avoid a moment of friction. And the uncomfortable truth is, INFPs do this all the time in everyday life.We play harmless. We let other people handle the practical weight, make the hard calls, or cross our lines without saying a word. We tell ourselves we are just being peaceful, or that we are strong enough to carry the annoyance. We absorb the snide remarks, the racist comments, the endless emotional dumping from people who never ask how we are doing. We stay quiet to avoid the tension. Then, after months of swallowing it, something snaps. We go cold. We drop a ruthless, surgical verbal takedown on someone who had no idea we were even upset. They walk away thinking we are unstable. We walk away feeling guilty, terrified that speaking up means we are secretly cruel people. So we retreat. We go right back to being passive.Assertiveness is not cruelty. Setting a boundary is just stating a practical reality: If you do this, I am going to step out of the room. It is not about controlling the other person. It is about deciding what you will tolerate around you.You will not turn into a monster just because you start drawing a line. You might swing too hard once or twice, but you will calibrate. You will find the middle ground. What is a line you have been keeping silent about, just to protect someone else from the discomfort of your truth?00:00 7 Habits That Make People Disrespect INFPs (And How to Fix Them)00:31 Habit 103:15 Habit 205:10 Habit 308:12 Habbit 410:46 Habit 512:39 Habit 615:00 Habit 7

Is the MBTI personality test actually backed by scientific evidence? Learn why treating personality frameworks like a belief system might be a mistake. Many people treat the MBTI personality test with the same uncritical acceptance they might give to urban legends. This discussion examines the core issue with how we approach personality psychology: the lack of verifiable data. Drawing a parallel to Neil deGrasse Tyson’s views on extraterrestrial claims, we look at why the burden of proof rests on the evidence, not the popularity of the framework. This breakdown is for anyone interested in critical thinking and separating pop psychology from rigorous scientific evidence. You will learn how to apply a more skeptical lens to common personality theories and why asking for the data is the most important step before accepting any model as truth. Stop getting stuck. Many people advise us to focus on the current moment, but for the INFP personality, this feels nearly impossible. Our cognitive functions naturally pull us into idea space, where we analyze endless possibilities, potentials, and what-ifs. When we are not living in the future, we are often ruminating on past events or processing trauma. This video addresses why staying present is uniquely difficult for our type and how to recognize these patterns.By understanding that these tendencies are part of how our minds operate, you can begin to navigate these mental traps more effectively.
