S.2 E.7 Should We Do IVF? 16.10.2024 51dkIn this episode Jaclyn, Jenn, and Kelley talk about the physical, relational, ethical, spiritual and financial aspects of IVF. There are no simple yes or no answers when it comes to IVF. It is a choice each couple has to make for themselves. It should be made prayerfully, and under wise counsel. When we look to His word we can find the pillars of our faith that will help guide us, not only in our infertility journey but in all aspects of life. We can rest in knowing that God is the creator and sustainer of life, we can trust Him through all of these complex situations. Disclaimer: IVF is a medical procedure that entails complex physiological and ethical implications that can’t be covered comprehensively in a single podcast episode. As a ministry, we are not qualified to provide medical diagnoses or recommendations. We encourage you to seek medical advice from qualified medical professionals.Proverbs 4:13Proverbs 11:14Psalm 139Prepare for your first appointment Terminology The Sanctity of Life: We believe that life begins at conception (specifically, fertilization as opposed to implantation). Our creator is the only one who makes life and knits us together. Thereby, we believe that all loss is valid and meaningful regardless of the situation whether miscarriage (molar, ectopic, early or late), stillborn, infant death, etc. Life is created thereby it matters to the creator, God. We know that within infertility our only true hope is found in Jesus Christ being enough and his Holy Spirit living inside of us. Even with the help of medicine and doctors, He is still sovereign over all.Chapters Discussed: Should We Do IVF (and Other Decisions)Order WIH Book today!
