Conspiracies and Conspiracy Theories with Uncover Up's Lee Kuhnle & Nathan Radke 23.07.2026 48dkI love a good conspiracy theory and the discourse that can surround it. But, doesn't it feel like conspiracy theories are becoming much more rampant? The stories are starting to get larger and wilder. I saw a neighbor on the nextdoor app blame potholes in our neighborhood on an evil cabal of blood drinking democrats. Feels like a stretch to me.Lee Kuhnle and Nathan Radke have been hosting the Uncover Up podcast for the last decade. They've finally taken their knowledge to the book world with 'Uncover Up: How To Think Clearly In An Age Of Conspiracies.' We got to discuss a lot about how things have changed, how people can get wrapped up in a conspiracy theory and how the wilder they get the more detrimental they are to our democracy. I hope you enjoy our conversation. The book is released July 28th via ECW Press. -
The Unskippables - Tyler CHilders' "Purgatory" with Sheyna Gee 17.06.2026 36dkMost of the time when I ask artists about albums that inspired them they will reference an artist or album that came out when they were younger. Or, maybe one that came out when they were learning how to play music. They tend to be choices that had a major impact on their growth with music. In today's episode, country artist Sheyna Gee and I will talk about Tyler Childers' 2017 release "Purgatory." -
The Unskippables - Eric Church's "The Outsiders" with Payton Smith 26.05.2026 36dkIt's been a long hiatus but my series called The Unskippables is back. I speak with a musician about an album they think is perfect from start to finish. An album with no skips. This week I caught up with my old friend Payton Smith. I say "old" because I met him 7 years ago, but he's still 26. I've been following his career since he was a teenager. Payton is such an impressive songwriter and guitar player. In this episode we discuss Eric Church's album "The Outsiders." Despite being one of his least commercially accessible albums, "The Outsiders" has been a standout to the Church Choir and all of his fans. Payton and I discuss how he found himself in Nashville at such a young age, how the pandemic derailed all of his momentum and how Eric Church has always been an inspiration to him. -
Taylor Austin Dye 15.05.2026 27dkI'm excited to welcome country singer Taylor Austin Dye to the show. If you're not familiar with her work, I hope you'll check it out (after you're done listening to the podcast). I know you'll be very happy with what you hear. Taylor is poised to make some big waves in the country world over the next year as she's out there with her first radio single, "Man For That." In this episode we discuss where she found her love of music, what it was like to go from a town of just over 100 people to Nashville, and how playing on Broadway helped her hone her craft. -
"Backstage Pass" and the WWE with David Sahadi 29.04.2026 36dkThe man behind so many of the incredible promos and branding of 90's WWE (and WWF), David Sahadi, takes some time to talk about his history and time in the world of wrestling. We discuss his new memoir, "Backstage Pass: Tales From Beyond The Squared Circle." His story is great. He literally was the reason the WWF went from an entity that was kind of a joke in the sports world to a massive organization that has created so many superstars. -
The Book Of Eastbay with Art Juedes & Rick Gering 17.04.2026 36dkIt brings me so much joy to have an opportunity to speak with the founders of the Eastbay catalog. The days that the catalog appeared in the mailbox were the best days. I spent so much time looking through each sneaker, reading all of the descriptions, and circling the shoes I wanted the most. Art Juedes and Rick Gering founded Eastbay and they are sharing their story in the new book, "The Book of Eastbay: Two Friends And The Catalog That Changed The Sneaker Business Forever."The book is available now wherever you get your books. You can also find it and read the prologue at bookofeastbay.com -
"It's Only Forever: Labyrinth" with Jes Battis 08.04.2026 44dkFor a certain generation of people the movie Labyrinth, originally released in 1986, still holds a very special place in their hearts. Taken at face value the film is a fun (maybe fun isn't the right word) romp through an imaginary world filled with goblins, fairies, smelly bogs, and other interesting creatures. But, maybe there's a lot more to this film that has helped it stand the test of time. Author and professor Jes Battis decided to take their love for the film and share their thoughts in the new book 'It's Only Forever: Labyrinth.' This will go down as one of my favorite conversations of this podcast. -
Tiktok's Professor T on Keeping Music Stories Alive 01.04.2026 35dkMy feed on Tiktok is filled with music, some politics and horny national parks. You can look that last one up yourself. The music content has been giving me so much joy. I love discussing music with people, and reminiscing about the songs, and artists, that I've loved over the years. Recently my algorithm started showing me videos from Professor T. I've really enjoyed his content. Not only is it a lot of music that I personally love. But we're also about the same age. I feel connected to his stories because I have so many of the same. I also find it so important to keep these stories of older music alive for a new generation. Professor T was kind enough to give me some of his time for my show. I hope you enjoy our conversation. -
Ryan Henrdicks On Smallside & Launching A Fashion Brand 13.03.2026 28dkBack in December my fyp on TikTok started showing me these videos of a guy talking about a new clothing brand he was designing and launching. The brand is called Smallside. His goal was to sell the clothing and use the proceeds to give back to the community by turning small forgotten spaces into soccer fields. I became very interested in his progress. Eventually I wanted to find out more about who this guy was. I reached out and he agreed to join me on the show. His name is Ryan Hendricks and he is the founder of Smallside (@smallsideco on instagram and tiktok). -
Josh Sullivan On The Failure Of The Olympic Women's Slopestyle Snowboarding Event 06.03.2026 40dkIf you watched any of the Olympic snowboarding competitions you may have noticed the same thing I did. These elite athletes, the best in the world, were struggling to land their signature tricks and runs. One could take that as they were trying to go big for the gold and just didn't have "it" that day. But, you could also take a look at the conditions on the mountain in Italy and realize maybe it wasn't the best quality for these riders. Josh Sullivan is a writer for Snowboarder Magazine. He published an article called, "OPINION: The Olympic Slopestyle Women Deserve Better." Josh and I discuss how schedule changes, weather, and judges held back some of the best snowboarders in the world. -
Raised On Radio with Paul Rees 24.02.2026 36dkThere's a magic and intrigue about rock music and radio from the mid to late 70's into the 80's. I'm talking Foreigner, Boston, Journey, Genesis and so many more in the genre known as AOR. That stands for Album Oriented Rock. Paul Rees has published an incredible oral history of those years with his new book, "Raised On Radio: Power Ballads, Cocaine and Payola - The AOR Glory Years." I'm a bit of a music (and radio) nerd so I've been loving my experience with this book. Paul talked to all of the heavy hitters from the time period and got the behind the scenes stories we, as fans, don't usually get to hear. I hope you enjoy our conversation. -
Choreplay with Jordan Carlos 13.02.2026 37dkI'm joined this week by comedian Jordan Carlos. He discusses his new book Choreplay: The Marriage Saving Magic Of Getting Your Head Out Of Your Ass. In it he shares his personal story of how he realized if he didn't step up more around the house he might just lose his family. Jordan's brutal honesty, and comedic timing, make this a true joy to read. I hope you enjoy our conversation. -
Fenway Punk With Chris Wrenn 06.02.2026 36dkBetween the years of 1999-2004 there was no bigger rivalry in sports than that of the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees. These two storied baseball teams have always had a bitter rivalry, but it hit new levels during this five year period.A group of guys from Boston's vibrant punk rock scene decided to take advantage of this by selling shirts and stickers with the slogan "Yankees Suck." It was simple but effective. The shirts took over New England, and the rest of the country. It became a rally cry as the 2004 Red Sox went on to win their first World Series Title in 86 years. One of those guys, Chris Wrenn, took all the money he made and funneled it right into his record label, Bridge Nine Records. Over the last couple of decades Bridge Nine has released some of the most important records in the hardcore music scene. None of that would've happened without the Yankees Suck shirts. Chris shares the wild story of how all of this happened in his new book, "Fenway Punk: How A Boston Indie Label Scored Big On Baseball's Biggest Rivalry." The book is out on 2/10/26. -
Epic Disruptions With Scott D. Anthony 30.01.2026 37dkThe word 'disruptor' has a distinct connotation. It tends to be tied to Silicon Valley and the tech world. It's the whole 'move fast and break things' mantra. But, there have been disruptors throughout history. Any time something new comes along and throws the world, and culture, into a frenzy, that's a disruptor. Things like the printing press, iPhone and even things like the disposable diaper are all epic disruptions. Scott D. Anthony recently published his latest book titled, 'Epic Disruptions: 11 Innovations That Shaped Our Modern World.' -
Don't Be Yourself With Dr. Tomas Chamorro-Premuzic 16.01.2026 39dkAuthenticity was the word of the year in 2023. Everyone wants to be their authentic, or true, selves. But, does there come a time when that isn't beneficial to you? The workplace is a great example. This week I'm joined by Dr. Tomas Chamorro-Premuzic. He recently published a book called "Don't Be Yourself: Why Authenticity Is Overrated And What To Do Instead." I wasn't sure how I'd feel about this book when I first got it, but Dr. Tomas has a lot of really great insight into the workplace. I hope you enjoy our conversation! -
Do More In Four with Jared Lindzon 12.12.2025 41dkYou may have heard a conversation growing about changing the standard workweek from 5 days down to 4. 32 hours a week instead of 40. In just about every test, or trial, companies have found that a shorter workweek has benefitted them. As did their employees. But the 4 day workweek hasn't quite caught on yet. Maybe that's going to change.Jared Lindzon teamed up with Joe O'Connor to write a book called "Do More In Four: Why It's Time For A Shorter Workweek." It comes out on January 13th but I wanted to get the conversation started early! -

I'm so glad we did! Joining me today is Chad Michael Jervis. Chad spent a few years as a member of the country group King Callaway. Prior to that he was in the band The House On The Cliff.
