Solheim, Shane and Pain 14.09.2026 1h 14minThe trio gather this week in something of a torpor, induced either by long waking hours or by tranquilisers. There is an update on Eddie's withdrawal from the Irish Open and subsequent treatment, before the mood is lightened by reflections on Europe's victory in the Solheim Cup. There is also discussion of the two different sides of Shane Lowry on display as he romped to a record win at Doonbeg. To give some much needed energy to proceedings, Iain tells a story about a queue.Brought to you by: www.petermillar.co.ukAnd by: www.ping.comChipping Forecast on Substack: https://substack.com/@thechippingforecastOn Instagram: @chippingforecastAnd email us: [email protected] Hosted on Acast. The Walker Cup of Earthly Delights 07.09.2026 1h 18minWell, what a Walker Cup that was. Andrew and Iain have made their respective early flights back from the south-west of Ireland and join Eddie to discuss one of the most dramatic events, not just in golf or indeed sport, but in the history of human kind. We hope that does it justice. There is obvious praise for the GB & I side and discussion of who might have the most success in the professional game. Speaking of which, we also review events in the Alps where Thriston Lawrence showed that there actually is something better than a fit PC as he took down Paul Casey on the fourth extra-hole. Eddie gives us his thoughts on his own form as he looks forward to a meeting with the Don at the Irish Open and Andrew and Iain look forward to a trip to The Netherlands for the Solheim Cup. The Fast and The Curious 01.09.2026 1h 22minA slightly delayed episode with Eddie making his way to the mountains and Iain having a similarly difficult journey to a car hire depot. But it has given all three extra time to reflect on The British Masters at The Belfry, where Eddie grafted his way through four rounds and Joe Dean earned his maiden Tour win in style. Further reflections are offered on Scottie Scheffler's dominance at the Tour Championship and musings on whether Viktor Hovland might just be too curious about the world to reach the very highest level in the game. There's other stuff as well, but we're just keen to get it published as soon as possible.Brought to you by: www.petermillar.co.ukAnd in association with: www.ping.comSign up for The Chipping Forecast Substack: https://substack.com/@thechippingforecastEmail: [email protected]: @chippingforecast Hosted on Acast. Bagels and Rocky Road 25.08.2026 1h 24minThis week, the usual trio are spiced up by a bit of Andy Murray who tells us tales of his actual hole-in-one which absolutely definitely did happen. The tennis guy also offers sage advice for Eddie after walking off the course and his subsequent decision to take on a coach. There's a review of the Nexo Championship where Scott Jamieson took the title and Shaun Norris was victim of the ruling that few people had heard of. Meanwhile Wyndham Clark demonstrated again why he's a rival to Scheffler for player of the season and Rory showed us a return to form. Finally, if not dead, LIV golf is certainly quite unwell and the three have their say on where things could and should go from here as well as wondering if they should make friends with automated mowers as a way of ensuring decent treatment by our robotic overlords in the not too distant future. This episode is brought to you by: www.petermillar.co.ukAnd also: www.ping.comSubscribe to The Chipping Forecast on Substack: https://thechippingforecast.substack.com/Email: [email protected]: @chippingforecast Hosted on Acast. The Death of Realised Dreams 17.08.2026 1h 13minThis week Eddie reveals the tale behind his missed cut in Denmark, struggling with illness but still finding something to give him encouragement moving forward. There is quite the achievement at the US Amateur to discuss as Jack Whaley provides a rare British win, while Scottie Scheffler ends his drought with a flood of birdies in Memphis. At the same tournament Rory McIlroy's form gives him cause for concern and we prepare ourselves for the dream pro-am line-up in Aberdeen. This episode is brought to you by: www.petermillar.comAnd also: www.ping.comThe Chipping Forecast is also on Substack: https://substack.com/@thechippingforecastEmail: [email protected]: @chippingforecast Hosted on Acast. Play-offs, Pranks and Picks 03.08.2026 1h 8minAndrew is still hunting for a wayward drive somewhere, so Iain and Eddie once again hold the fort and bid farewell to major golf for the year with a round-up of The AIG Women's Open. There's plenty of discussion of the dramatic finish as Esther Henseleit holed a monster putt to take it into a play-off, then saw a cruel human ricochet end her hopes with Shiho Kuwaki keeping the title in Japanese hands. There are reflections on the performances of Lottie Woad and Charley Hull, while offering thoughts on Charley's caddy prank, before both Eddie and Iain then realise they are in no position to criticise. There is then discussion of the Solheim Cup as Europe's captain Anna Nordqvist finalises her team, a review of The Rocket Classic on the PGA Tour as another young gun gets firing and Eddie contemplates his own return to competitive golf.Brought to you by: www.petermillar.co.ukAnd: www.ping.comEmail: [email protected]: @chippingforecast Hosted on Acast. Jacksons, Majors and Apologies. 27.07.2026 1h 6minWith Andrew taking a break the two-ball of Eddie and Iain tackle all of golf’s biggest talking points: the state of Project Badger, the PGA Tour’s newest superstar and why the Korean winner of the women’s Scottish Open speaks with an Aussie accent. Iain gives his verdict on LIV Golf’s latest event and Eddie tries to guess who handed over the trophy at the Seniors Open. Eddie also expresses some regret about something. Hosted on Acast. DeChambeau Drama 17.07.2026 38minHe might not lead The Open Championship at halfway but all the headlines at Birkdale are being made by Bryson DeChambeau, who finished his second round in second place but was then handed a two-shot penalty for improving his lie on the 5th hole. Andrew and Eddie discuss it all while Iain digs around for further news then joins the chat. Quite apart from all that, it was a day of extraordinary golf with 62s being handed in by leader Lucas Herbert and American Sam Burns. Even bigger names are not too far away with Scheffler, Cam Young and Tommy Fleetwood, but the question remains: Will Bryson play? And will Donald Trump put in a call to have it overturned?Brought to you by: www.petermillar.co.ukAnd by: www.ping.comEmail:[email protected]: @chippingforecast Hosted on Acast. WEDNESDAY AT BIRKDALE 15.07.2026 1hIt's Open Championship Eve and Andrew and Iain are separated by a few feet in the media centre, while Eddie is a couple of hundred miles away, but the three gather to have a final look ahead to this year's Open Championship. They discuss the course and the contenders while hearing from Scottie, Rory, Tommy and Justiny. Most importantly, they each pick their horse to lift the Claret Jug. If a horse could do that with its hooves. Not sponsored by EddieBets.Brought to you by: www.petermillar.comAnd by: www.ping.comEmail:[email protected]: @chippingforecast Hosted on Acast. The Greatest Week in Golf 13.07.2026 1h 18minIt's only in publishing this episode that we have noticed this is episode 200 of TCF. It is a) remarkable that it has lasted this long and b) it seems appropriate that this milestone marks the start of Open Championship week. Iain is at Birkdale with Andrew about to arrive and Eddie is in between trips to the local farm shop, so all of them gather to reflect on the Scottish Open, the Evian Championship and even the Isco - God bless it - before turning their attention to The Open itself. Plenty more to come this week...Brought to you by: www.petermillar.co.ukAnd by: www.ping.comEmail: [email protected]: @chippingforecast Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information. -

No Sir, I Can't Bogey. 29.06.2026 1h 14minAn early Monday recording with Wimbledon duties for Andrew and Iain, while Eddie is still in the north of Italy, reflecting on an impressive effort in Turin where his 11th place contained a bogey-free run of 56 holes. There is discussion of the Travelers Championship - at the time of recording still to be settled between Scottie Scheffler and Viktor Hovland (spoiler alert: Hovland wins), a first-time winner of a major at the Women's PGA Championship and uninformed debate about what kind of dog Rory McIlroy would be.Brought to you by: www.petermillar.co.ukAnd by: www.ping.comEmail: [email protected]: @chippingforecast Hosted on Acast. Wyndham Win Winds Em Up 22.06.2026 1h 13minIt's our big US Open debrief where Andrew, Iain and Eddie pick over the bones of events at Shinnecock Hills, admiring the play of Wyndham Clark while not in any way admiring the supporters. Is this a problem according to geography or something more widespread? There's also discussion of a near miss for Lottie Woad on the LPGA Tour as we head into major number 3 in the women's game, Iain asks if former professionals should be allowed to return to the amateur game's biggest tournaments and Eddie is preparing for his return to the tour in Italy.Brought to you by: www.petermillar.co.ukAnd by: www.ping.comEmail: [email protected]: @chippingforecast Hosted on Acast. Water Ski Jumping Over Greg Norman 08.06.2026 1h 16minThe young, fresh and not at all over the hill trio have plenty to get their teeth into this week - Charley Hull goes close in a major once again, but Nelly Korda makes it number four in her collection. Eddie reflects on a tough four days in the Netherlands and an event which leaves all three extolling the virtues of a cut in golf. JT Poston turns his form around to win the Memorial, Andy Murray suffers golfing heartache and Eddie finally decides that he might not rate AI as a swing coach. This episode is brought to you by: www.petermillar.co.ukAnd by: www.ping.comEmail: [email protected]: @chippingforecast Hosted on Acast. The Cruel, Inhuman Coach 01.06.2026 1h 14minThis week Andrew and Iain let Eddie reflect upon the sharpest of cuts in Austria, which did at least allow him sauna time with the locals. The trio then talk about a chance missed for Eric Cole to provide Laura Baugh with the perfect birthday present and look ahead to the US Women's Open. Meanwhile, Bryson taking AI coaching advice leads to Andrew - via an unkind ex-tennis player - to receive a disturbingly frank and accurate assessment of his golfing abilities.TCF brought to you by: www.petermillar.co.ukAnd also: www.ping.comEmail: [email protected]: @chippingforecast Hosted on Acast.
