  The Truth Simply Put with PAV   A lot of believers hear that the Gospel is the power of God unto salvation and immediately reduce salvation to one moment, one altar call, one prayer prayed, or one experience of forgiveness. But the New Testament speaks of salvation with far more breadth than that. In this episode of The Truth Simply Put with PAV, Alexander Victor opens up the scope of what Scripture means by salvation and shows that the Gospel does not merely get a man started with God; it carries the whole saving program of God into view.   This teaching shows that salvation includes the forgiveness of sins, yes, but it does not end there. It includes regeneration, present standing with God, ongoing realities in CHRiSt, preservation through this present age, and the hope of final glorification. In other words, the Gospel does not only bring a man to the door; it brings him in, keeps him, and carries him toward the fullness of what God has promised.   That is why Paul’s language is so weighty when he says the Gospel is the power of God unto salvation. God’s power is not random and not purposeless. It is aimed at a definite end. The Gospel is God’s ability at work, not merely to pardon, but to save to the uttermost.   In Episode 13 of The Truth Simply Put with PAV, Alexander Victor begins a focused look at the power of the Gospel by opening Romans 1:16 and pressing a vital question: what exactly did Paul mean when he said, “I am not ashamed of the gospel of CHRiSt, for it is the power of God unto salvation”? This teaching shows that the Gospel is not mere religious information, emotional inspiration, or a message for a narrow class of visibly broken people. It is God’s message for all men, and it reveals the very measure of what God is able to do in CHRiSt.   This episode also opens up Paul’s language with greater weight. To say he was “not ashamed” of the Gospel was not simply to say he was bold enough to preach it. It was to say he had staked his full confidence, honour, and eternity on its truth. God’s power is not being measured here by spectacle, force, or outward wonder, but by salvation.   How does a person actually enter into the reality of the Gospel? || The Truth Simply Put with PAV   In Episode 12 of The Truth Simply Put with PAV, Alexander Victor brings the series to one of its most personal and pivotal questions. If God has acted in CHRiSt, if the work is finished, if forgiveness, justification, and new life have truly been secured in Him, then what is the proper human response? Scripture’s answer is striking in its simplicity: believe.   This episode shows that the Gospel is not only an announcement of what God has done through Jesus CHRiSt; it is also an invitation. Jesus does not call people first to religious performance, moral repair, or external adjustment. He calls them to Himself. “Come unto me,” He says. That means the response the Gospel demands is not labor, cleanup, qualification, or self-preparation. It is faith in the person and work of CHRiSt.   PAV opens up the beauty of this invitation by showing that salvation is not achieved through human effort. It is received by faith, and even that faith is supplied by God through the hearing of the Gospel. The sinner does not first fix himself and then come to Jesus. He comes to Jesus as he is and receives the life only CHRiSt can give.   This teaching also presses the urgency and universality of the call. The invitation of the Gospel is not reserved for a select class of moral achievers, religious insiders, or people with cleaner histories. It is for whoever believes. Rich or poor, upright or scandalous, publican or Pharisee, everyone needs the same Saviour, and the call remains open now.   In this episode, you will see: that the Gospel is an invitation as well as an announcement, that the call of Jesus is a call to Himself, that faith is the proper response to the Gospel, and that now is the day of salvation.   This is clear truth. The believer does not merely admire the death, burial, and resurrection of CHRiSt from a distance. Through faith, the believer is brought into union with CHRiSt Himself.   This teaching shows that the Gospel is far more than the announcement that CHRiSt died for us. It is also the revelation that we died with Him, were buried with Him, were raised with Him, and now live because He lives in us. That is why the believer’s identity cannot be explained merely in moral, religious, or sentimental terms. The believer is now in CHRiSt, with CHRiSt, and through CHRiSt.   PAV unfolds from Scripture that Jesus did not die merely as an example of love or sacrifice, though His death certainly reveals both. He died as our representative. He took our place, brought the old man to judgment in His death, and made resurrection life the possession of everyone who believes. Union with CHRiSt means the old life has been judged, the new life has begun, and the life now being lived by the believer is no longer reducible to mere human effort.   This episode will help you see why the Gospel cannot stop at “Jesus died for me.” It must go on to the glorious reality that His death became my death, His resurrection became my new life, and His life now dwells in me.
