  • Episode 202--Forgiveness, Trust & Boundaries | Chaitanya Charan 08.10.2026 1h 15min
What does it really mean to forgive someone? Does forgiveness mean trusting them again? Rebuilding the relationship? Letting go of boundaries? Or pretending that what happened didn’t hurt? In this special episode of Gita In Action, Radha sits down with Bhagavad Gita teacher and author Chaitanya Charan for a conversation on forgiveness, relationships, trust, and boundaries through the wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita. Together, we explore the difference between forgiving someone and trusting them, why forgiveness doesn’t always require reconciliation, and how sometimes the healthiest response may actually be creating distance. Chaitanya Charan also shares a powerful framework for understanding forgiveness at the level of our intentions, emotions, and actions—and why healing our own wounds is different from deciding what kind of relationship we should have with the person who hurt us. audio1885818895 We also explore the power of the “sacred pause” before reacting, what it means to forgive wisely, and an unexpected question at the end: How do we forgive ourselves?  Forgiveness doesn’t necessarily mean forgetting. It doesn’t necessarily mean trusting again. And it doesn’t always mean going back. Sometimes forgiveness is simply choosing to heal—and then deciding wisely what comes next. Ancient wisdom. Modern life.
  • Episode 201--The Illusion of Control 05.10.2026 56min
What does it actually mean to become “fixed” in spiritual knowledge? In this episode of Gita In Action, we explore Bhagavad Gita 14.2–14.4 and the difference between simply understanding spiritual knowledge and actually allowing it to change the way we live. So much of our lives is spent trying to understand, achieve, control, and figure everything out. We can even bring that same mentality into our spiritual lives. But what if the Bhagavad Gita isn’t something we’re meant to conquer with our intellect? What if it’s something we’re meant to take shelter of? We explore what it means to move from knowledge to realization, why surrender doesn’t mean giving up, how our need for control can keep us from trusting God, and how spiritual wisdom gradually becomes the ground we stand on—even when everything around us is changing. We also discuss Krishna as the source of material nature and all living beings, what that teaches us about our relationship with Him, and how seeing everything as a gift can begin to change the way we relate to our lives. Because the goal isn’t simply to know the Bhagavad Gita. It’s to allow the Bhagavad Gita to change us. Ancient wisdom. Modern life.
  • Episode 200--What’s Really Keeping Us Stuck? 01.10.2026 1h
Why do we keep getting pulled into the same patterns, desires, attachments, and ways of thinking—even when we know they aren't making us happy? In this class, we begin Chapter 14 of the Bhagavad-gītā and explore Krishna's teaching on the three modes of material nature: goodness, passion, and ignorance. These subtle forces influence our thoughts, desires, motivations, choices, and even what we believe will make us happy. But Krishna isn't giving us this knowledge simply so we can get better at analyzing ourselves. The analysis has a purpose: to help us recognize what's influencing us, understand what's keeping us bound, and ultimately discover how to become free. We explore why trying harder isn't always enough, why the things we once thought we couldn't live without can eventually lose their grip on us, and how taking shelter of something higher can begin to change our entire relationship with material life. Ancient wisdom. Modern life. Bhagavad-gītā Chapter 14, Text 1 | Gita In Action with Radha & Friends
  • Episode 199--Episode 199--Beyond the Body & Mind | Chapter 13 Overview 28.09.2026 59min
What does the Bhagavad Gita say about who we really are beyond the body and mind? In this episode of Gita In Action, we review Bhagavad Gita Chapter 13 and explore Krishna’s teachings on the field and the knower of the field, the soul and Supersoul, material nature, consciousness, conditioning, spiritual vision, and liberation. We explore what it means to understand that we are not simply our bodies, minds, emotions, personalities, or conditioning—and how that realization can change the way we see ourselves, other people, and God. How do we stop identifying so deeply with our conditioning? How can we recognize Krishna’s presence within the heart? And how does spiritual knowledge move from something we intellectually understand to something that actually transforms the way we live? Chapter 13 takes us from identification to understanding, from understanding to vision, from vision to relationship, and ultimately toward freedom. Ancient wisdom. Modern life.
  • Episode 198--What Life Can't Take From You 24.09.2026 57min
What if the deepest part of you has never been damaged by anything you’ve been through? In this episode of Gita in Action, we finish Chapter 13 of the Bhagavad Gita with verses 13.33–13.35 and explore Krishna’s teachings on the unchanging nature of the soul, consciousness, and what it actually means to become spiritually free. Using the analogies of the sky and the sun, Krishna helps us understand how the soul can move through changing bodies, circumstances, conditioning, successes, failures, and even painful experiences without losing its spiritual nature. And just as the sun illuminates the world through its light, Krishna describes consciousness as the symptom of the soul—the light through which we experience the body and the world around us. We explore the difference between the body and the conscious being experiencing it, the individual soul and the Supersoul, and why simply knowing “I am not this body” is very different from actually living from that understanding. Life can shape us. Our experiences can affect our minds, personalities, relationships, and even our bodies. But Krishna offers us something incredibly hopeful: none of it reaches all the way down to the deepest level of who we are. What you’ve been through is real. But it isn’t the entirety of who you are. Ancient wisdom. Modern life. ❤️
  • Episode 197--Different, But Not Separate 21.09.2026 52min
What if being different didn’t have to mean being separate? In this episode of Gita in Action, we explore Bhagavad Gita 13.31–13.32 and what it means to develop spiritual vision—to honor the very real differences between us without allowing those differences to become division. Krishna invites us to look beneath bodies, personalities, beliefs, roles, and circumstances to recognize the deeper spiritual reality we share. And as that vision grows, something begins to change: the circle of those we recognize as connected to us gets bigger. Different doesn’t have to mean separate. Unity doesn’t require sameness. Ancient wisdom. Modern life. ❤️
  • Episode 196--What 50 Years of Spiritual Life Will Teach You 17.09.2026 1h
In this special episode of Gita in Action, Radha sits down with Kripamaya Prabhu and Krishna Bhava, longtime practitioners and original disciples of Srila Prabhupada, to talk about what more than 50 years of spiritual life has actually taught them. They share how they found Krishna consciousness as teenagers, what it was like to meet Srila Prabhupada, and how the teachings of the Bhagavad-gita have carried them through marriage, raising children, loss, aging, and the things in life we simply cannot control. We also get into some of the questions that can come up for Western seekers encountering bhakti for the first time: Is Hare Krishna a cult? How does Krishna consciousness fit alongside Christianity and other spiritual traditions? And what does bhakti have to say to someone struggling with patriarchal conceptions of God? And after more than five decades of practice, Kripamaya and Krishna Bhava reflect honestly on what they would do differently—including being less judgmental, having a softer heart, prioritizing family, and realizing that sometimes the best way to help the people we love is to work on ourselves. A beautiful, honest conversation about what spiritual wisdom looks like after a lifetime of actually trying to live it. Ancient wisdom. Modern life.
  • Episode 195--You Are Not Your Conditioning 14.09.2026 56min
How much of what we call “me” is actually just conditioning? In Bhagavad-gita 13.30, Krishna explains that material nature is acting—but that doesn’t mean we have no responsibility for our choices. In this conversation, we explore the difference between who we really are and the patterns we’ve practiced, why our conditioning doesn’t have to define us, how this understanding can help us forgive ourselves and others, and why what we choose to feed matters. Your conditioning may explain where you’re starting from—but it doesn’t have to determine where you’re going. Ancient wisdom. Modern life.
  • Episode 194--You Don't Have to Believe Everything Your Mind Tells You 10.09.2026 57min
Our minds are constantly telling us stories—about what other people think of us, what something means, what should have happened, and even who we are. And when we believe every story the mind tells us, those thoughts can quickly become resentment, jealousy, fear, attachment, or hopelessness. In this episode of Gita In Action, we explore Bhagavad-gītā 13.29 and what it actually means to stop letting the mind run the show. We talk about creating space between ourselves and our thoughts, responding instead of reacting, navigating difficult relationships without becoming consumed by them, and learning to see painful experiences through a bigger spiritual lens. We may not get to choose everything that happens to us—but we can practice choosing what we allow it to produce in us. What story is your mind telling you? And is that story taking you closer to God or further away? Ancient wisdom. Modern life.
  • Episode 193--How to See People Differently 07.09.2026 1h 2min
We’re constantly forming opinions about people—based on their behavior, personality, appearance, beliefs, mistakes, and even the way they treat us. But what if we’re only seeing a small part of who they actually are? In this episode of Gita In Action, we explore Bhagavad-gītā 13.28 and Krishna’s invitation to develop a deeper kind of vision: to see beyond the body and mind to the soul within—and to recognize the presence of God accompanying every living being. We talk about what equal vision actually means, why it doesn’t require us to ignore harmful behavior or abandon healthy boundaries, and how remembering the person behind the behavior can change the way we handle judgment, resentment, conflict, and difficult relationships. Because spiritual knowledge isn’t just about what we know. Eventually, it should change the way we see people—and the way we treat them. 🙏 If this conversation resonates with you, please like, subscribe, and share it with someone who might benefit. 🎙️ Gita In Action Podcast Ancient wisdom. • Episode 192--You Are More Than What’s Happening to You 03.09.2026 57min
You Are More Than What’s Happening to You It's easy to become completely identified with what we're experiencing—our thoughts, emotions, relationships, bodies, successes, and struggles. But the Bhagavad-gītā offers a much bigger perspective: you are the conscious person experiencing all of those things, but they are not the entirety of who you are. In this episode of Gita In Action, we explore Bhagavad-gītā 13.26–13.27 and how spiritual knowledge can help us create a little space between who we are and everything happening around us. We also talk about the power of what we repeatedly hear, why the voices we allow into our lives matter, and how spiritual practice can help us become more steady when life inevitably changes. You don't have to understand everything about spiritual life before you begin. Sometimes you simply hear something true, let it touch you, and allow it to change you. Ancient wisdom. Modern life.
  • Episode 191--Is Your Spiritual Practice Actually Changing You? 27.08.2026 52min
Meditation, yoga, studying spiritual wisdom, selfless service—these are all powerful practices. But there’s an important question we don’t always stop to ask: Is the practice actually changing me? In this episode of Gita In Action, we explore Bhagavad-gītā 13.25 and the different paths Krishna gives for spiritual realization. But we also look at what can happen when the ego gets involved—even in spiritual life. Are we becoming less attached to outcomes? Less controlled by the mind? More humble, loving, and able to serve? Or have we simply found a new identity to become attached to? We also get personal about control, mixed motives in service, and why real spiritual growth requires the willingness to see ourselves honestly. Because the goal isn’t simply to become good at spiritual practice. The goal is transformation—and ultimately, a deeper relationship with God. 🙏 If this conversation resonates with you, please like, subscribe, and share it with someone who might benefit. 🎙️ Gita In Action PodcastAncient wisdom. • Episode 190--You Don’t Have to Be in Control to Be Safe 24.08.2026 59min
So much of our stress comes from trying to make life cooperate with our plans. We want to know what’s going to happen, how it’s going to happen, and that everything will turn out the way we think it should. But what if peace doesn’t come from having more control? In this episode of Gita In Action, we explore Bhagavad-gītā 13.23–24 and Krishna’s presence within the heart as the overseer, permitter, witness, and friend. We talk about the difference between having free will and actually being in control—and why learning to trust Krishna can change the way we experience uncertainty. We also get practical about what the need for control can cost us: our peace, our relationships, and sometimes our ability to simply be present with the people around us. Spiritual life isn’t about becoming passive or giving up responsibility. It’s about doing what is ours to do while recognizing that we were never meant to control everything else. Maybe safety doesn’t come from finally getting everything in place. Maybe it comes from realizing we were never navigating any of it alone. 🙏 If this conversation resonates with you, please like, subscribe, and share it with someone who might need this reminder. 🎙️ Gita In Action PodcastAncient wisdom. • Episode 189--You Become What You Surround Yourself With 20.08.2026 1h 2min
What we surround ourselves with doesn’t just influence how we feel in the moment—it gradually shapes what we desire, what we become attached to, and ultimately, who we are becoming. In this episode of Gita In Action, we explore Bhagavad-gītā 13.22 and the powerful role association plays in shaping our consciousness. Through the analogy of watering seeds, we look at why spiritual growth isn’t always about fighting every unwanted desire, but becoming more intentional about what we choose to feed. What are we watching? Who are we spending time with? What are we listening to? What thoughts and desires are we continually watering? This episode also marks two years of Gita In Action, so we open the conversation to members of the community to reflect on how studying and applying the Gita together has actually changed their lives—from reacting less and trusting more, to becoming more accepting of others and developing a deeper relationship with Krishna. Sometimes transformation is so gradual that we don’t notice it happening. But when we look back, we may realize that what we’ve been watering all along has quietly begun to grow. 🙏 If this conversation resonates with you, please like, subscribe, and share it with someone who might benefit from it. 🎙️ Gita In Action PodcastAncient wisdom. • Episode 188--Why We Get So Attached to Outcomes 17.08.2026 54min
Why do we get so attached to how things are supposed to turn out? In this episode of Gita In Action, we explore Bhagavad-gītā 13.20–13.21 and the connection between our desire to enjoy, our expectations, and the happiness and distress we experience when life does—or doesn't—go according to plan. Through everyday examples involving work, relationships, our bodies, and even Netflix, we look at what happens when we become so invested in the “movie” of our lives that our peace starts depending on getting the outcome we want. This conversation is about learning to notice where we're placing our expectations, why we become so attached to certain outcomes, and how spiritual wisdom can help us move through life's changes with a little more steadiness. Ancient wisdom. Modern life.
  • Episode 187--Is It Intuition—or Just Your Mind? 13.08.2026 58min
We’ve all heard the advice: “Trust your gut. Follow your heart.” But what happens when the voices inside us are pulling us in completely different directions? In this episode of Gita In Action, we explore how the Bhagavad-gītā helps us distinguish between genuine inner guidance and the voice of our own habits, desires, fears, and conditioning. We also talk about why more information doesn’t always lead to more wisdom, the importance of silence and creating space in our lives, and why spiritual knowledge ultimately isn’t about how much we know—it’s about how deeply we know God. Through honest conversation and real-life examples, we explore what it actually looks like to live this wisdom: slowing down, becoming more aware, loosening our grip on control, and learning to hear the guidance that has been within us all along. Ancient wisdom. Modern life. This is the Gita in action.
