What it came after is not simply a Coup D'Etat more in the Latin American history. It was the beginning of one of the most brutal regimes of the XX century on the continent.The Military Council, headed by General Jorge Rafael Videla, established the "National Reorganization Process". Beneath that administrative euphemism lay hidden a systematic machinery of terror: clandestine detention centers, forced disappearances, and the silencing of all political, trade union, and intellectual activity.It is estimated that between 10,000 and 30,000 people were lost during the years that the dictatorship lasted.
