10,000 Letters And The Problem With How America Prosecutes Women Who Kill 14.10.2026 1hIn March 2019, journalist Justine van der Leun sat in a New York courtroom for the murder trial of Nicole Addimando. After years of abuse, Nikki had shot and killed the father of her two young children after he violently raped her. As the prosecution painted her as a “master manipulator”, Justine was left wondering: was this normal? Determined to find out, she surveyed 10,000 incarcerated women across 27 American states. More than 90 per cent of those who responded reported a history of abuse, and 28 per cent said their crime was a direct act of survival. Purchase Justine's book Unreasonable Women. A Doctor Was Assaulted By Her Boss. She Knows She's Not The Only One 07.10.2026 1h 9minIn November 2013, Dr Dominique Lee arrived at the Sydney apartment of her mentor, Professor John Kearsley, for dinner. He was head of radiation oncology at St George Hospital, and he had been guiding her as she prepared to become a specialist consultant. By the end of the night, her life and career would be derailed for the next decade. Dominique's case was the first in Australian history in which a doctor was sent to jail for sexually assaulting another doctor. In 2026, she remains the only junior doctor to win a criminal case against a senior doctor for sexual assault. In this episode, she tells Gemma about the night that changed everything and the long fight for justice that followed. The Lindsay Clancy Mini Series: An Unexpected Update 03.10.2026 9minLindsay Clancy's trial for the 2023 killings of her three children ended in a mistrial, but the case has been far from quiet since. In this episode of our mini series, Gemma unpacks everything that has happened since the hung jury. Jurors have spoken out about the one holdout who stopped them reaching a verdict of not guilty by reason of insanity. Reports have since emerged about that juror's past, and he has now given his own side of the story. Patrick Clancy has also spoken publicly. He and his new wife sat down with 60 Minutes, where he addressed the online conspiracy theories about him and shared what Lindsay told him about the day his children died. Back in court this week, Lindsay's defence made a dramatic shift. At trial, her lawyer argued she wasn't criminally responsible because of mental illness. Now he says prosecutors never proved she killed her children at all. LINKS We want to hear from you! Take our quick 3-minute survey for your chance to win a $1,000 gift card. Josephine Greensill Was Wrongly Convicted Of Assaulting Her Students 30.09.2026 1h 5minIn March 2008, 57-year-old semi-retired schoolteacher Josephine Greensill opened her front door in suburban Melbourne to find three detectives waiting to arrest her. Two men had accused her of sexually abusing them at a backyard sleepover almost 30 years earlier, when they were eight-year-old boys in her class. No medical experts were ever called, and the jury believed them. Jo spent two and a half years in prison as a convicted child sex offender before her conviction was quashed. The court found the men had colluded and had a financial motive, and that what they described was physically impossible. Award-winning crime reporter Neil Mercer investigated her case, along with eight others, for his book Falsely Convicted. In this episode he tells Gemma about the common sense failures that sent an innocent woman to jail and what her life looked like once she was released. Neil also looks at the cases of Eric Honeysett framed by NSW police in 1983, and Gene Gibson's case. LINKS Purchase Falsely Convicted by Neil Mercer here. We want to hear from you! As ‘Below Deck’ Airs Something Sinister Was Happening Behind The Scenes 09.09.2026 38minGael and Nathan fell in love onscreen during season 9 of Bravo's hit reality TV show Below Deck Med, airing in 2024; but, as Season 11 airs right now, a lot has happened off screen. Two days after Christmas in 2025, a terrifying assault took place inside an apartment in Sydney’s north-west. New parents Nathan Gallagher and Gael Cameron were arguing when Nathan escalated the fight covering Gael's mouth, suffocating her, and squeezing her neck. Gael eventually broke free and went straight to the police. But just months later, the couple's relationship and their journey into parenthood with their six-month-old son was broadcast to millions of viewers on Bravo's hit reality TV franchise, Below Deck Mediterranean as they returned for season 11. Fans watched their relationship play out on screen, completely unaware of the horrific domestic violence that had already taken place off-camera. Now, 28-year-old Nathan Gallagher is a convicted criminal on the run. With an active warrant for his arrest, NSW Police have warned the public not to approach him as the manhunt continues. The Lindsay Clancy Trial Mini Series: The Verdict 07.09.2026 15minAfter more than three weeks of emotional and harrowing testimony, the jury in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial was handed the difficult task of deciding her fate. With five possible outcomes on the table ranging from first-degree murder to not guilty by reason of insanity, the nine women and three men entered deliberations. What followed was a tense seven days. In this final episode of our mini-series (for now), we walk you through the dramatic conclusion of the trial. Despite repeated encouragement from Judge William F. Sullivan, the jury remained hopelessly deadlocked, with reports of a single holdout juror refusing to follow guidance on reasonable doubt. Following heated exchanges between defence attorney Kevin Reddington, prosecutors, and the judge, a mistrial was officially declared. Zoe’s Husband Drugged Her Evening Tea. For Years He Assaulted Her While She Slept 02.09.2026 1h 8minIn 2018 Zoe Watts' family believed her 16-year marriage was ending due to an affair. Struggling with debilitating panic attacks, sleeplessness, and nervous breakdowns, she finally confided in her sister, revealing a far more horrifying reality. Her husband hadn't just splintered their family with infidelity; he confessed to secretly drugging her with their son's sleeping medication and sexually abusing her while she was unconscious. Years before the world learned the name Gisèle Pelicot, Zoe was forced to navigate the shadowed, rarely discussed reality of spousal drug-facilitated rape. After seeing her husband sentenced to 11 years in prison, Zoe waived her legal anonymity to share her story as part of a global CNN investigation exposing online "rape academies"—hidden communities where thousands of men swap tips for drugging their partners. In this episode of True Crime Conversations, Gemma Bath speaks with Zoe Watts about surviving unimaginable betrayal, standing up against secret online networks, and her crusade to reform the laws that allow this crime to fester in the dark. The Lindsay Clancy Trial Mini Series: The Defence's Case 01.09.2026 12minAfter 14 days of testimony and nearly 70 witnesses presented by the prosecution, the defence in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial took the floor. Their core argument? That Lindsay should not be held criminally responsible for the deaths of her three children because she was in the depths of severe postpartum psychosis. In the latest episode of our mini-series tracking the trial, we walk through the defence's argument, led by attorney Kevin Reddington. Featuring powerful testimony from Lindsay’s mother, mother-in-law, and key psychiatric experts, the defence presents evidence to show a devoted mother begging for help, misdiagnosed, and allegedly failed by a fragmented medical system. We also examine the prosecution's rebuttal, including testimony from FBI psychiatrist Dr. Gregory Saathoff, who challenged the credibility of Lindsay’s auditory hallucinations. Katherine Knight Killed Her Boyfriend. Then She Served Him For Dinner 26.08.2026 1h 18minIn October 2000, the small Hunter Valley town of Aberdeen, New South Wales, became the scene of one of the most horrific crimes in Australian history. John Price was brutally murdered in his home by his partner, Katherine Knight, an abattoir worker with a long, history of domestic violence against the men in her life but with no criminal record to show for this. What police discovered inside the house shocked even the most seasoned investigators: Knight had skinned, decapitated, and cooked parts of her partner, creating a horrific crime scene that remains etched in true crime history. Katherine Knight was the first, and to this day only, woman in Australian history to be sentenced to life imprisonment without parole. In this episode of True Crime Conversations, Gemma Bath sits down with author Roje Augustine, who spent three years researching Knight's life to unpack her upbringing in Aberdeen, her fascination with the abattoir kill rooms, and the escalation of her violent relationships. The Lindsay Clancy Trial Mini Series: The Family 24.08.2026 10minIn January 2023, 36-year-old labor and delivery nurse Lindsay Clancy strangled her three young children, Cora, Dawson, and Callan, in the basement of their Duxbury, Massachusetts home before attempting to take her own life. While her defense team contends she was suffering from severe postpartum psychosis and bipolar disorder, prosecutors argue her actions were planned and intentional. In episode one of our special mini-series tracking the trial, we return to the beginning of the Clancy family's story. Featuring harrowing court testimony from Lindsay's husband, Patrick Clancy, we unpack the family's life leading up to January 24, her rapidly declining mental health, and the devastating timeline of the day that shattered their lives forever. TCC Exclusive: Inside A DV Police Operation 23.08.2026 21minIn a True Crime Conversations first, Gemma Bath is embarking on an exclusive ride along with the New South Wales Police Force for Operation Amarok. A high-impact, statewide blitz cracking down on high-risk domestic violence offenders. Expecting tactical helmets, battering rams, and dramatic door-busts, the reality on the ground turned out to be far more nuanced. Shadowing plainclothes officers in beanies and jeans, Gemma witnessed four arrests across Sydney's Central Metro region, uncovering a complex web of family violence, repeat breaches of ADVOs, and systemic challenges that extend beyond intimate partner relationships. In Eight Minutes Of Footage Jessica Zrinski Doesn’t Get Out Of The Car Once 19.08.2026 43minAt 8:49am on a Tuesday morning in November 2022, 30-year-old Jessica Zrinski was captured on CCTV in the passenger seat of a blue Holden Commodore pulling into a service station in Mount Victoria. Trailing from her passenger door was a massive tree branch, and driving the car was Paul Jones, a man she had met outside a Western Sydney pub just hours earlier. Those eight minutes and 40 seconds of footage would be the last time Jessica was ever seen alive. Soon after, Jones vanished off the grid for nearly three years, eventually located by police living in a camouflaged cave in dense bushland before being subpoenaed to give evidence at her coronial inquest. In this episode of True Crime Conversations, NewsCorp investigative journalist Ashlea Hansen joins Gemma Bath to unpack the bizarre timeline, the extensive searches through the Blue Mountains bushland, and what Jessica’s family hopes to finally learn as the inquest resumes.
