  • Episode 61: 360s | The Business Case - A Client's Perspective with Frank Christie 01.10.2026 24min
This episode launches 360, Unpacked, a new Radio Omnicor series that pulls apart every phase of running a 360 in organisations — from why organisations run one at all, through to what to do with the feedback once it lands. We're opening the series with the client's side of the story, Frank Christie, a strategic leadership and organisational development consultant with 30 years' experience working with people and organisations across South Africa. Frank recently guided an executive team through a 360 process. In this conversation he talks candidly about what motivated the decision, the hesitation that came before it, what the weeks in between launch and results felt like, and what changed once the team had sat with the feedback. One of the threads Frank kept coming back to, is how powerfully a 360 measures the gap between intention and impact, in other words, the difference between how a leader means to come across and how their behaviour lands. Closing that gap matters because it's leadership behaviour itself, he argued, that drives a team's productivity and how well it functions day to day.🔍 In this episode we explore:What was really going on for the exec team when they decided a 360 was the right moveHow to get a team genuinely bought in, rather than just compliantWhat the process felt like week to week, from launch to getting the results backThe moment a piece of feedback caught the team off guardWhy a 360 is such a powerful measure of intention versus impact in leadership behaviourHow leadership behaviour itself drives a team's productivity and how well it functionsWhat's different in how the team operates now, looking backWhether a 360 just confirms what everyone already knew, or genuinely shifts somethingHow the team handled feedback they wanted to push back on or dismissMore About Frank ChristieFrank Christie is a strategic leadership and organisational development consultant with 30 years' experience working with people and organisations across South Africa. He founded the Thembalitsha Foundation, driving social entrepreneurship, education and healthcare initiatives for marginalised communities. Today, his work centres on emotional intelligence as the foundation for individual and organisational growth, combining coaching, mentoring and a deep focus on culture, mental wellness and leadership development. Frank also brings a keen interest in neurogenesis, the science of building new neural pathways, into his understanding of how leaders learn and change. He has guided leaders through complex organisational change with empathy and insight, helping them cut through complexity to drive meaningful, lasting progress.Connect with Frank Christie on LinkedIn https://www.linkedin.com/in/frank-christie-lucidity/ Learn more about the Thembalitsha Foundation https://hope.org.za/ 🎙 Produced by: Siye Dlamini🌐 Visit us: www.omnicor.co.za 📬 Contact: [email protected] 📱 Listen on: Spotify | Apple Podcasts | Google Podcasts

Both guests are seasoned Organisational Development (OD) Practioners with whom we are currently piloting a new workshop for Coaches and OD Practioners. We discuss the changing role of the OD Practioner in the new world of work and why we can never go back to the pre-pandemic organisational structure.   Disruption caused by Covid-19 has provided valuable opportunities for learning and leadership. But how do we make sure it is seen by organisations that way? Being visible in a remote workplace can be tricky, or has it even changed? We’ve shared what we’re hearing from our clients and coachees, and one theme coming out strongly is how businesses seem to have moved from profit to purpose with covid amplifying what already existed in our teams and organisations. Using deep curiosity to make sense of the change uncovers that we are all more resourceful than we know.
