Kohberger Could Face His Former Lawyer Over WHAT?! 18.10.2026 31minBryan Kohberger named his former lawyers in his attempt to undo the guilty plea that spared him the death penalty. He claims Anne Taylor’s team misled him about prison conditions and withheld evidence he believes would have changed his decision. If a hearing eventually happens, those claims could be tested against records of the plea discussions.Kohberger alleges ineffective assistance from Taylor, Elisa Massoth and Bicka Barlow. Lawyers are generally required to protect private client communications. A claim that hinges on what counsel did or said can create a limited exception, but the court would decide what information is relevant and what can be disclosed. It is not a blanket release of years of conversations. At his July 2, 2025 plea hearing, Kohberger told Judge Steven Hippler he was guilty. Prosecutor Bill Thompson summarized DNA evidence involving a knife sheath, records of a Ka-Bar knife purchase, cell-phone connections and a white Hyundai Elantra shown on surveillance. Kohberger’s attorneys would have been able to contest the state’s interpretation at trial. Instead, the plea ended that trial and removed the death penalty under the agreement.Former prosecutor and defense attorney Eric Faddis joins Tony Brueski to explore whether a former attorney might have to explain what happened behind closed doors, what a sworn plea admission proves and what Kohberger risks by challenging the bargain he accepted. The October 14 court order canceled future hearings while the petition and prosecution’s effort to dismiss it remain unresolved. For Kohberger, reopening the case would require more than a new argument about the evidence.Listen Anywhere You Get Podcasts: https://pod.link/1655749292Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Bryan Kohberger’s Judge Erased WHICH Court Dates?! 18.10.2026 30minBryan Kohberger wants another chance to challenge the guilty plea that sent him to prison for life. His new lawyer also wants the judge who took that plea off the case. On October 14, 2026, Judge Steven Hippler removed the October 15 recusal hearing from the schedule, along with the June 2027 dates set aside for a status conference and possible hearing on Kohberger's claims.Kohberger pleaded guilty in July 2025 to killing Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, Xana Kernodle and Ethan Chapin. He told Hippler he was guilty and later received four consecutive life sentences. The post-conviction petition he filed in 2026 alleges his former attorneys provided ineffective assistance and that the plea was not freely made. Prosecutors dispute his claims and seek dismissal without a hearing.Greg Rauch, the attorney representing him in the challenge, argues Hippler's own words are a problem. At sentencing, the judge sharply condemned Kohberger, and Rauch says those remarks could impair an objective assessment of Kohberger's credibility. He also points to a refused request for more time shortly before the plea. His motion seeks disqualification and a transfer of the proceedings back to Latah County.Hippler's new calendar does not decide the request to remove him. It gives Kohberger until January 13, 2027, to file an amended petition and sets a July 7 deadline for evidence gathering. Further hearing dates are dependent on what happens with the unresolved motions.Tony Brueski and attorney Eric Faddis examine what the cancellation actually changes. If prosecutors succeed in having the petition dismissed, the fight could end without an evidence hearing. If it proceeds, the questions surrounding Kohberger's sworn admission and the judge's impartiality may return to the courtroom, with the victims' families drawn through another round.Listen Anywhere You Get Podcasts: https://pod.link/1655749292Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Bryan Kohberger and Sandra Birchmore: What the Evidence Actually Shows 17.10.2026 1h 4minKohberger said he was guilty. His DNA was on the knife sheath. His phone pinged the house over twenty times. His alibi has no witness. Now he wants his plea back, his judge wiped the calendar, and the attorney he accused has his sworn answers on tape. Meanwhile, Sandra Birchmore sent six hundred texts the day she died. Farwell's DNA is on the weapon. He walked in wearing a mask and left twenty-nine minutes later. She told eighty people about her baby and the defense says she ended her own life. Eric Faddis covers all of it with Tony across four segments — the vanished hearings, the evidence wall, the Anne Taylor backfire, and whether the Farwell case is open and shut. DNA, surveillance, and forty thousand recovered texts are in front of a jury.Listen Anywhere You Get Podcasts: https://pod.link/1655749292Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Anne Taylor Has the Plea Transcript and Kohberger Opened the Door 16.10.2026 12minKohberger's post-conviction petition accuses Anne Taylor of hiding exculpatory evidence, lying about what death row looks like, and telling him the plea didn't need to be truthful. He named Taylor, Elisa Massoth, and Bicka Barlow. Filing an ineffective assistance claim waived attorney-client privilege — every protected conversation from three years of defense work is now exposed. Taylor's team wrote a sealed memo before the plea warning the judge that Kohberger had difficulty comprehending adverse rulings. Hippler denied the continuance. Kohberger pleaded guilty weeks later. If Taylor testifies at an evidentiary hearing, she walks in with the transcript where Kohberger told the judge he understood the agreement, was satisfied with his attorneys, and was pleading guilty because he is guilty. Eric Faddis, defense attorney and former prosecutor, joins Tony to break down how this accusation could expose Kohberger's defense strategy and whether the families could see something worse than a new trial.Listen Anywhere You Get Podcasts: https://pod.link/1655749292Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? What Bryan Kohberger Would Actually Argue If He Gets a Trial 16.10.2026 18minKohberger's alibi was that he was out driving alone that night, looking at the moon and the stars. No corroborating witness. His phone was off during the killing window. Against him: DNA on the knife sheath, over twenty phone pings near the house, surveillance footage, and the Ka-Bar knife bought with a gift card. His car was meticulously cleaned. A roommate saw him inside the home. He took the plea to avoid the death penalty. Vacating it puts death back on the table — prosecutors already filed intent to seek it. Eric Faddis joins Tony to break down what defense Kohberger could actually mount and what a jury does with an alibi contradicted by cell data. Has the fight itself become the point for a man filing handwritten petitions from a maximum-security cell?Listen Anywhere You Get Podcasts: https://pod.link/1655749292Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? The Judge Bryan Kohberger Wants Fired Wiped Every Court Date 16.10.2026 15minKohberger's team was set to argue that Judge Hippler should be removed from the post-conviction case. Hippler vacated the hearing the night before — and took every other date with it. The June status conference and June evidentiary hearing on the plea withdrawal are gone. The prosecution has asked Hippler to throw out the petition without any hearing, calling Kohberger's claims bare and conclusory. The defense cites Hippler's sentencing comments — that Kohberger was the worst of the worst and that nothing about him was redeeming — and wants the case moved back to Latah County. Family attorney Jason Goldman says this is the beginning of a longer fight. Eric Faddis, defense attorney and former prosecutor, joins Tony to break down what the judge's move means, what the prosecution is trying to kill, and whether the families of Kaylee, Maddie, Xana, and Ethan will ever see a final resolution.Listen Anywhere You Get Podcasts: https://pod.link/1655749292Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Bryan Kohberger, Gypsy Rose and Sandra Birchmore: Who Judged Their Own Case 15.10.2026 1h 3minBryan Kohberger's motion to remove Judge Steven Hippler for bias gets argued before Judge Steven Hippler on October 15, 2026. Kohberger pleaded guilty under oath on July 2, 2025; his handwritten petition now says Anne Taylor's team coerced him, and his appointed lawyer Greg Rauch quotes Hippler's "faceless coward" sentencing speech as the proof of bias. This combined episode sets that fight beside two others where someone decided early. Gypsy Rose Blanchard called Ken Urker's death an overdose the day after he was found on October 1, 2026, with toxicology still pending; a 2025 prison call has her describing a knife and his headboard. Massachusetts ruled Sandra Birchmore a suicide in 2021 and withdrew it in April 2026 while Matthew Farwell stands trial in Boston. Four listener Q&A segments. What Judge Hippler Called Bryan Kohberger Is Now Kohberger's Argument 15.10.2026 15minJudge Steven Hippler called Bryan Kohberger a "faceless coward" at sentencing, and Kohberger's new lawyer is using the sentence to argue Hippler can't judge him again. Greg Rauch's motion to disqualify gets argued October 15, 2026, in Hippler's courtroom. It says those remarks, plus Hippler's denial of a continuance six days before the July 2, 2025, guilty plea, show bias, and that a bench proceeding with no jury leaves no check on it. Rauch wants the case sent back to Latah County too. Kohberger told Hippler under oath he was guilty of killing Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, Xana Kernodle and Ethan Chapin. His handwritten petition says he was coerced and that Anne Taylor's team failed him. Prosecutors want it dismissed. An amended petition is due in November; the evidentiary hearing is reserved for June 17, 2027. Your questions on the standard Rauch has to meet, what Taylor can say now, and the families back in the gallery.Listen Anywhere You Get Podcasts: https://pod.link/1655749292Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Bryan Kohberger's Judge Knew WHAT Before the Plea?! 03.10.2026 29minBryan Kohberger’s post-conviction fight now turns in part on what Judge Steven Hippler knew before accepting the plea that ended the University of Idaho murder case without a trial. A May 20, 2025 defense filing told Hippler that Kohberger was having difficulty comprehending adverse rulings and understanding their effect on the case as a whole. Anne Taylor’s team did not tell the court Kohberger was legally incompetent. The lawyers expressly denied that conclusion. They wanted more time to investigate his ability to rationally assess the case, make consequential choices, and receive expert help communicating about a possible resolution. Hippler denied the continuance on June 26. Kohberger pleaded guilty six days later. At the July 2 hearing, Kohberger admitted killing Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, Xana Kernodle, and Ethan Chapin. He also pleaded guilty to burglary, told Hippler he understood the agreement, denied coercion, and said he was pleading guilty because he was guilty. He is serving four consecutive life sentences without parole plus a ten-year burglary sentence. Kohberger now alleges ineffective assistance, pressure, false promises, and withheld evidence. One example he raised was hair from Ethan Chapin’s hand. Defense expert Ruth Ballard had already examined a hair from that location, found it morphologically consistent with Chapin’s reference hair, and Taylor filed the analysis before the plea. Eric Faddis joins Tony Brueski to examine the question the unsealed memo creates without answering it for the court: whether the concerns Taylor raised before the plea can support Kohberger’s effort to undo the sworn answers he gave six days after Hippler denied more time. Could Bryan Kohberger’s Own Judge Undo His Four Murder Confessions? 02.10.2026 14minOn July 2, 2025, Bryan Kohberger pleaded guilty to four counts of first-degree murder in the killings of Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, Xana Kernodle, and Ethan Chapin at the University of Idaho. Weeks earlier, his defense attorney Anne Taylor had filed a sealed memo telling Judge Hippler that Kohberger was struggling to rationally understand what was happening to him. She wrote that he couldn’t comprehend adverse rulings or make consequential decisions about his defense.Hippler denied Taylor’s request for more time on June 26, six days before the plea. At the hearing, Taylor told the judge she was satisfied she’d had enough time, and Kohberger answered every safeguard question the court put to him.The sealed memo is now public. Kohberger has filed a post-conviction petition arguing the plea should be vacated. He claims Taylor and his defense team concealed evidence and pushed him toward a deal he didn’t grasp. He specifically alleges hair evidence pointing to an unknown attacker was withheld. His own defense expert, Ruth Ballard, examined that hair and found it physically matched Ethan Chapin. Her report was completed a month before the plea deal was signed.Taylor’s team explicitly denied concluding Kohberger was incompetent, saying they needed more time to investigate. Forensic criminologist Brent Turvey, who served on Kohberger’s defense team, has said Taylor and co-counsel will need to answer “very difficult questions.”Disqualification arguments are set for October 15. An amended petition is expected in November. The evidentiary hearing, if it goes forward in June 2027, puts Anne Taylor on the witness stand.Listen Anywhere You Get Podcasts: https://pod.link/1655749292Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Why Bryan Kohberger's Lawyers Wanted More Time Before His Plea 28.09.2026 15minThe sealed memo in the Bryan Kohberger case is out, and it shows what his defense team told Judge Steven Hippler six weeks before the guilty plea. On May 20, 2025, Anne Taylor's team wrote that Kohberger was struggling to rationally understand the rulings in his case and fold them into an assessment of where it was headed. They asked for time to get expert assistance communicating with him about how the case could end, and they expressly denied he was incompetent. Hippler denied the continuance on June 26, 2025. On July 2, Kohberger pleaded guilty to the murders of Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, Xana Kernodle, and Ethan Chapin. Greg Rauch filed the memo with his August 27, 2026 motion to disqualify Hippler, arguing the judge knew before accepting the plea. Kohberger's petition claims threats and unkept promises from his own lawyers. Defense attorney and former prosecutor Eric Faddis joins me on whether any of it gets him out of his plea.Listen Anywhere You Get Podcasts: https://pod.link/1655749292Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Bryan Kohberger's Sealed Filing Revealed WHAT Before Plea?! 27.09.2026 43minBryan Kohberger's post-conviction case now includes a document the public did not have when he pleaded guilty. The newly unsealed filing says his former defense lawyers told Judge Steven Hippler that Kohberger was having trouble rationally processing adverse rulings and understanding how those rulings changed the risk of going to trial. His lawyers asked for additional time and expert assistance so they could communicate with him about major case decisions, including whether to testify or resolve the case with a plea. They expressly denied that Kohberger was legally incompetent. Hippler denied the additional time, and six days later Kohberger admitted guilt to four first-degree murders and burglary. Kohberger's new attorney Greg Rauch is now using that sequence as part of a broader effort to remove Hippler from the post-conviction case and challenge the plea. Rauch says the timeline does not automatically prove the plea was invalid. His argument is that it raises a factual issue about whether Kohberger had enough time and expert assistance to meaningfully participate in the decision. Kohberger's family has now entered that fight publicly. His parents and sisters say they support his effort to obtain post-conviction relief and want the full truth aired through a trial. Psychotherapist Shavaun Scott joins Tony Brueski to examine the family system around that decision, including what public support can mean when a convicted relative reverses course and claims his confession was false. Kohberger is serving four consecutive life sentences without parole plus ten years for burglary. The court will hear his request for a new judge and venue on October 15, 2026, and the post-conviction evidentiary hearing is scheduled for June 17, 2027. The sealed filing does not answer whether the plea survives. It gives the court one more record to test against what Kohberger swore to when he entered it. Kohberger's Own Plea Hearing Says WHAT About Coercion?! 26.09.2026 59minBryan Kohberger says his guilty plea was coerced while investigators warn that unredacted crime-scene photographs from the University of Idaho murders were allegedly passed to journalists and online creators. The plea challenge and the photo leak are separate legal problems, but both now center on access to information and what happened after that access was granted. A YouTube creator with more than 9,000 subscribers said she possessed unredacted images and told followers she was waiting to obtain more. On September 15, 2026, the Latah County Prosecutor's Office, Moscow Police and Idaho State Police said sensitive material had allegedly come from an unknown source and urged against further distribution. The state had already limited public release. Judge Megan Marshall ordered the City of Moscow to black out bodies and immediately surrounding blood. Idaho State Police then released nearly 2,800 crime-scene images in January 2026 and removed them the same day. The Goncalves family said the images were live by the end of a 12-minute warning call. Senate Bill 1250 later exempted death-investigation photographs from public disclosure. Kohberger's family entered the public fight on September 17 and said it supports his effort to withdraw the plea. His petition alleges ineffective counsel, false promises, threats tied to prison conditions and failures to disclose evidence he believes supports innocence. His plea transcript cuts directly across those allegations. Kohberger told Judge Steven Hippler that no one threatened him, no one promised anything beyond the agreement, no one told him to lie, and he was pleading guilty freely because he was guilty. The petition also points to hair from Ethan Chapin's right hand. Defense expert Ruth Ballard had examined one hair from that location before the plea and found it morphologically consistent with Chapin's own reference hair. The court will decide the plea challenge on evidence Kohberger can prove, while the alleged photo leak remains a separate question about how tightly controlled material reached the online true-crime ecosystem. Did Bryan Kohberger Understand What He Was Pleading Guilty To? 26.09.2026 24minBryan Kohberger's lawyers said in writing that they were not calling him incompetent, then told Judge Steven Hippler they needed expert help to communicate with him about whether to take a deal. Both statements come from the memo unsealed on September 22, 2026, in his post-conviction case. This episode explains what an ex parte filing is, why the state never saw the May 2025 supplement, and what competency covers versus what the defense actually described. It covers Dr. Rachel Orr's autism diagnosis, the "little insight into his own behaviors" finding from that filing, and the June 26 order that rejected four alternate perpetrators as "entirely irrelevant."Then it follows Rauch's argument for a new judge and the state's motion to dismiss the petition as "bare, conclusory, and unsupported." The calendar closes it out: October 15 for the disqualification hearing, November 13 for the amended petition, and June 2027 if a hearing is granted.Listen Anywhere You Get Podcasts: https://pod.link/1655749292Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Is Bryan Kohberger Pulling His Family's Strings From Prison?! 24.09.2026 19minBryan Kohberger's family has entered the fight. In a statement exclusive to ABC News, the Kohbergers declared their full support for Bryan's bid to withdraw his guilty plea in the murders of Madison Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves, Xana Kernodle, and Ethan Chapin. They said they want "the complete and unvarnished truth" told through a proper trial.Kohberger himself claimed in his petition that his former attorneys coerced him into confessing falsely. He's written that his parents and sisters were present for many of the discussions with his legal team before the plea. In his affidavit, he points to his family's involvement as proof that the pressure was real.Psychotherapist and author Shavaun Scott joins Tony to examine whether a highly narcissistic offender can orchestrate his own family as a PR operation from a prison cell. Is the family's statement genuine grief and denial, or calculated messaging? And what does Bryan Kohberger's psychology look like when the people who saved his life from the death penalty now publicly validate his claim that he never did it?A hearing on Kohberger's petition is set for June 2027.Listen Anywhere You Get Podcasts: https://pod.link/1655749292Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Why Kohberger's Family Believes His Confession Was Coerced 23.09.2026 31minOn September 17, the Kohberger family — parents Michael and Mary Ann, sisters Amanda and Mel — issued a formal statement through two retained attorneys to ABC News. They said Bryan's confession to the murders of four University of Idaho students was coerced by his own defense team. They want it thrown out. They want a trial.Bryan Kohberger pleaded guilty on July 2, 2025, to four counts of first-degree murder and one count of burglary. He told the judge under oath that no one forced him. He confirmed he killed Madison Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves, Xana Kernodle, and Ethan Chapin. He signed a written factual basis admitting the killings were willful, deliberate, premeditated, and with malice. He waived his right to appeal. His handwritten petition for post-conviction relief, filed from prison on July 27, 2026, names defense attorneys Anne Taylor, Elisa Massoth, and Bicka Barlow. He alleges they coerced his confession, withheld hair evidence, fabricated a story about death-row conditions, and told him it was legal to plead guilty to crimes he didn't commit. He wrote that his family was in the room during "most" of those discussions. The hair he calls hidden was examined by his own defense expert, Ruth Ballard. She found it morphologically consistent with victim Ethan Chapin's own hair. That analysis was filed with the court by Taylor on June 6, 2025 — one month before Kohberger signed the deal. "Clumps of hair," his description of the evidence, appears in no court or police record. It appears in a bestselling book. His family's civil attorney framed the plea as a "business decision" driven by fear. Prosecutors call the entire effort a "fishing expedition." Kohberger's team has filed a motion to disqualify Judge Hippler, citing his sentencing comments. A hearing on that motion is set for October 15. An evidentiary hearing — if it survives — is scheduled for June 17, 2027.Listen Anywhere You Get Podcasts: https://pod.link/1655749292Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Idaho 4 Photos: What a Creator Told Her 9,000 Subscribers 21.09.2026 27min"We have them." That's what a YouTube creator with nine thousand subscribers said on a Monday livestream about unredacted crime-scene photographs from 1122 King Road. She claimed the images showed the bodies and wounds of Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, Xana Kernodle, and Ethan Chapin. She said she was waiting to get more before she dropped them publicly. Followers cheered in the comments. The next day, the Latah County Prosecutor's Office, Moscow Police, and Idaho State Police issued a joint warning that the unredacted photographs had allegedly been given to journalists and social-media creators by an unknown source. Stacy Chapin, Ethan's mother, responded with a public plea: "Stop with the photos. They have absolutely NOTHING to do with transparency and are so incredibly hurtful."Idaho had already built every wall the law allows. A judge issued a permanent injunction in October 2025 ordering bodies and blood blacked out. Families had to sue Moscow after photographs went public with sloppy redactions and twelve minutes of advance notice. Idaho changed the Public Records Act so agencies can't release death-investigation images. And still, someone allegedly handed the unredacted files to internet creators — while four families watched a stranger decide when their children's last images become a thumbnail. This episode traces the full failure chain, explains how sixty-eight terabytes of evidence creates hundreds of access points, and names the three types of people driving the demand for images of the dead. The prosecutor says he doesn't know if he can charge anyone. The families are left with a press release that says "please don't."Listen Anywhere You Get Podcasts: https://pod.link/1655749292 Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Kohberger Says His Lawyers Did WHAT?! 05.09.2026 38minBryan Kohberger stood in an Ada County courtroom on July 2, 2025, and pleaded guilty to killing Madison Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves, Xana Kernodle, and Ethan Chapin. The judge confirmed the plea was voluntary. Kohberger gave up his right to ever appeal it. Thirteen months later, from a jail cell, he wrote a different story — a handwritten petition claiming his own defense attorneys, Anne Taylor, Elisa Massoth, and Bicka Barlow, coerced him into confessing, promised prison conditions that never materialized, and withheld evidence he calls exculpatory, including hair found in Ethan Chapin's hand that physical analysis excluded as Kohberger's but that no one ever sent for DNA testing. No supporting evidence came with the filing. The Goncalves family's response: he's a narcissist. Prosecutors wanted it dismissed without a hearing. Judge Steven Hippler — the same judge who took Kohberger's plea in the first place — said no. A status conference is set for June 3, 2027, with a full evidentiary hearing on June 17. And in a twist that undercuts Kohberger's entire petition, his own defense-hired digital forensics expert, Sy Ray, told reporters investigators missed even more incriminating cellphone geolocation data placing Kohberger near the house before the murders — and that he personally believes Kohberger would be convicted again, with the death penalty back on the table. Kohberger's new attorney, Greg Rauch, was appointed in August 2026 and hadn't read the file yet. He has ten months before Kohberger's former lawyers could be called to testify, under oath, about what they actually told their client. What Kohberger's Lawyer Claims Was Hidden From the Public 02.09.2026 21minThe families answered before Goldman finished talking. When Kohberger moved to undo his confession, Kaylee Goncalves's relatives called him "the mosquito you just can't seem to swat" — a man who admitted guilt on the record, accepted the sentence that kept him alive, and started complaining about the deal the moment prison became real.Goldman wants the conversation to shift. He told PEOPLE magazine that assumptions about this case deserve scrutiny. But the material in front of every court that's touched this matter includes cell records placing Kohberger's device near the victims' residence on roughly two dozen overnight occasions, forensic links recovered from a blade cover found inches from one of the bodies, a vehicle traced by camera footage to and from the scene, and cleaning evidence prosecutors described as meticulous. Kohberger purchased the weapon months in advance through an online retailer. Before any of that, there was a documented pattern. An addiction that led to residential burglaries as a teenager. An academic career built around studying criminal emotion and target selection. University colleagues who reported intimidating conduct toward women to campus authorities and local law enforcement. Kohberger entered four guilty pleas for the November 2022 killings of Madison Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves, Xana Kernodle, and Ethan Chapin. He waived appellate rights. A hearing on his reversal is set for June 2027.Listen Anywhere You Get Podcasts: https://pod.link/1655749292Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Kohberger Filed to Withdraw His Plea — What His Own Expert Said 31.08.2026 16minAn August 26, 2026 court order gives Bryan Kohberger two dates in June 2027 — a status conference on June 3 and an evidentiary hearing on June 17 — as he fights to withdraw the guilty plea that took the death penalty off the table. Judge Hippler, who accepted the plea thirteen months ago, denied prosecutors' request to throw the petition out without a hearing.Kohberger's petition claims ineffective assistance of counsel. He alleges his attorneys told him his plea did not need to be truthful, promised prison conditions they could not deliver, and withheld evidence involving hair found in Ethan Chapin's hand. His new attorney Greg Rauch was appointed in August 2026 through the Public Defender's Alternate Counsel Division and had not yet read the case file or contacted his client. The ineffective assistance claim partially waives attorney-client privilege. Anne Taylor, Elisa Massoth, and Bicka Barlow — the defense team that spent two years keeping Kohberger alive — could be required to testify at the June hearing about every conversation, recommendation, and disclosure that led to the plea. Then there is Sy Ray. The digital forensics expert Kohberger's defense hired before the plea has publicly stated that investigators missed additional incriminating evidence. Ray says cellphone data places Kohberger near the house on multiple occasions before the murders. His recommendation: restore the death penalty and put Kohberger on trial.LinksListen Anywhere You Get Podcasts: https://pod.link/1655749292Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video?
