     After an ugly, really ugly incident took place at the Turning Point USA event on the Mizzou campus this week we learn that the scary as hell, threatening trans person that showed up covered in fake Charlie Kirk blood is not a student.  This looked like it was about to be a mass shooting and Mizzou is all over it as they've turned Chloe Carter's information over to the FBI.  Way to go Mizzou!    A man that was shot twice in Butler, Pennsylvania two years ago as an assassin tried to kill Trump, has now died.  This is a really sad story about a good man and a horrible two years battling his injuries.    President XI of China was the guest of honor at the White House Thursday and got a comedic tour, an impressive tour of Marine One and a great seat at the head table with Trump, Elon, the head of Nvidia and Apple.  What a power move.    There's a real estate boom already in KCK as the Chiefs are building a $3 billion stadium.  And of course, media on the left are complaining.    Sophie Cunningham is so much more than a basketball player and we have a great audio clip to prove it.  Salvy hits his 20th home run this year... and he's in rare company as he's done that 10 times now.  Amazing.  Lee Sterling of www.paramountsports.com has your weekly picks after an insanely great pick for our Patrons Thursday.  If you want those free picks every Thursday click on "Become a Patron" at www.kkhasissues.com.      And our Final Final is a roller coaster you probably don't want to ride.

     President Obama is coming to KC to speak for a few minutes and pick up a massive check from a multi-billion dollar KC investment firm.  But he won't be campaigning for Kansas and Missouri Democrats.  Those folks, like Pastor Adam Hamilton, are making it clear they don't want an endorsement from him or Kamala or Biden or any of the real dems.   What a fraud.  If these people win, they will just fall in line and become lackies for them.    Argentina president Javier Milei spoke in front of the United Nations and just unloaded on them for being globalist frauds.  He's such an unfiltered truth teller.    A Turning Point USA event on campus at Mizzou turns ugly and sad when a really, really sick student stepped up to the microphone in a Charlie Kirk style shirt with blood all over his neck and white tee shirt.  What is wrong with these people?    The Chiefs set an 11 year high for Sunday Night Football ratings with their overtime win and we'll update their injuries for you.  Trump posts he's heading to the Texas-Tennessee game Saturday with Peyton Manning and maybe College Gameday.   KU basketball could be getting a star player back.  The USA President's Cup golf team featured one player in a photo with all 14 wives and girlfriends at the pre-tourney dinner.  It's NASCAR playoff run weekend at Kansas Speedway and a diner in Pleasant Hill is about to get really, really famous.

     President Trump has been busier in New York than any time as president, we can't keep track of the number of things he's working on.  GOP candidates are mad he's meeting and appearing with Mamdani this close to the election but happy with his speech at the UN.  In his speech, he has renamed AI and re-iterated its not going to kill us.  I'll share a list with you of things I remember in my life that were going to kill me.     A Kansas City mom has first degree murder charges dropped and pleads guilty to child endangerment after she put her 8 week old baby in an oven in 2024.  What is wrong with us?    Toys R Us is opening 160 stores nationwide for the holiday season and I love it.  I'll tell you why.... and where four locations will be in Kansas City.    The Chiefs special teams are awful and we aren't hopeful they will get much better.  Royals announcer and baseball Hall of Famer Denny Mathews is hitting a remarkable milestone on Friday when he calls the Royals/Guardians game.    A KU freshman from KC is the national volleyball player of the week.  The Seahawks head coach has an ongoing feud with the Broncos coach and there is a 50 topping pizza available for the first time ever.   It's make right here in our back yard.

     An appeals court ruling Monday leads us to believe the new maps in Missouri will be used for the Congressional vote in November... but... Not so fast.  This feels like it will never end.    The White House is currently excluding 3 super liberal media outlets from covering the news and I'm ok with it as long as they change it from a ban to just a "rotation" and allow them only in a few days a month.  The slow days.    Skydance is the parent company of Paramount/Warner Bros/Discovery Networks after a $110 merger.  12 states filed suit to stop it from happening but a deal has been reached for Paramount to stay in California and liberals in Hollywood are freaking out at how bad Gavin Newsom and his AG got worked over.  This is hilarious.    An area high school golfer wins at Pebble Beach in a PGA Tour Champions event and I know the young man and have been friends with his dad for 25 years.  This is a feel good story.    Pretty much every honest columnist or pundit in America agrees, the NFL blew the video replay in the Chiefs game Sunday night completely ignoring the "clear and obvious" clause while taking about an hour to make a decision.  They are actually working against  the Chiefs these days.    Another quarterback is hurt Monday night as signal callers are dropping everywhere.  A pastor returns to the football field... at age 48.  And a Long Island woman celebrating her birthday had an accident, got stuck and thought it was turning into her "death day."  But it worked out ok.

     It's a big step from week one to week two in any football season and not a single player showed more progress than Patrick Mahomes Sunday night at Arrowhead.  There's a chance... yes...  a chance, that this unicorn is better after an brutal injury and terrible season than he has been in years.  What a show at Arrowhead and what a wildly stupid decision by the Colts to kick a field goal on 4th down in overtime.  Oh, and we'll talk about the video review overturn that took the win away from the Chiefs and made them win it all over again.    The Raiders are 2-0, the Chargers are 0-2 and the league lost a couple big time QBs in the NFC on a crazy day in the NFL.    KU had plenty of chances in London to beat Arizona State but falls short.  Avery Johnson shines in Manhattan.  And Mizzou didn't make it look easy but is not apologizing for being 3-0.    Trump announces a deal with Greenland, Ed Sheeran returns to the stage and Pat McAfee may be getting high while doing his podcast.

     What is it with all these fake dems running for Senate in Republican states?  Guys like Talarico and Al-Sayed and.... Pastor Adam Hamilton.  They are being so "outed" as liars and frauds it's embarrassing even by political standards.  The latest is a liberal candidate in Nebraska running as an "independent" caught on tape making fun of the people in a small town.... in his own state!  This dude may be the biggest fraud of all.    Trump keeps telling us gas prices are "a small price to pay" for the war in Iran.  For him, yes.  For all the rest of us, no.  It's one of the very few tone deaf things he's said as president.    Josh Hawley is not running for president if you were curious.    On Thursday, team KKHI took a beating at the hands of team Mundo at Uncle Hud's charity whiffle ball tourney to benefit www.thebattlewithin.org.      At our America 250 event Wednesday evening with www.kcmotalkradio.com, my eyes were opened a little bit by a couple things that stood out as our panel on stage discussed the state of American politics.   It featured Guy Benson of Fox News, syndicated radio hosts Vince Coglianese and McGraw Milhaven, Pete Mundo and Miranda Kahn of KCMO and your humble host.  A couple things really stood out.    Travis Kelce was ripped off in a Ponzi scheme and the dude that committed the crime is going to prison for 11 years.  But that's only half the story.  Why in the world is the Republican swamp involved in this thing?    Before the game Monday night, the Broncos tried some dirty tricks to get under the Chiefs' skin.   Stan Weber joins us to talk about the matchup with the Colts Sunday night and we preview the KU, KSU and MU games Saturday.

     The democrats are turning up the heat on election season chaos because it's the best card they have to play.  "AI will kill us all," the shout over and over.  Now they got another gift as everyone is quitting Ed Sheeran's massive musical stadium tour after one of the singers began preaching for Palestine on stage.  This is growing, the tour is almost certainly going to be cancelled and Taylor Swift could now get dragged in.    A judge says the Kennedy Center can't have Trump's name of likeness or a plaque in the lobby unless Congress approves it.  So Trump called the Board of Directors and had them close the Kennedy Center until further notice.  wow.     The KC Star has had more layoffs and we don't cheer that in any way.  But there are more media jobs in America today than any time in history so it's hard to not believe this is mostly their own fault.   The Chiefs are a dream come true for me if they continue to run plays with two quarterbacks on the field.  Texas QB Arch Manning is all caught up in a fake controversy and a new style sports competition has a disgusting winner that endured explosive diarrhea while competing.  You have to hear this.

     I've begged and pleaded all off season... please let me be wrong.  Andy says, "I got you."    For the first time in three years, the Chiefs brought something new to their season opener.  Something really, really new and it was spectacular.   How great was Kenneth Walker racking up 191 total yards?  So great that in the storied history of the franchise the Chiefs have never had a game where their quarterback started a game 2 for 12 passing and the Chiefs won.  In fact, in this one, they never trailed.  Good golly was this a thing of beauty.    The one area your humble host was right was the Chiefs clearly built this off season for Justin Fields to start the opener but you're always going with Mahomes even if he was rusty, and admittedly, has a lot of work to do this year to get into form.    It wasn't just the offense as the defense has a whole new look and shine.   The Buffalo Bills are under fire for announcing they are perrorming the Canadian national anthem this Thursday night.  Robert Kraft makes a great decision about a concert at Gillette Stadium.    The Royals announce construction plans for their new ballpark.  Hickman Mills Schools sells a grade school on the cheap and some folks aren't happy.  And our Final Final is legendary radio announcer, Hall of Famer Dale Carter, running for office in Jackson County and happy to not be the Chiefs PA announcer anymore.

     The Border War stayed closer than it should have been most of the night as Mizzou downs KU.  Not a whole lot to break down on the field but all the stuff off the field is what everyone is talking about.  Especially Eli Drinkwitz who just let it fly.    In Manhattan, the Cats may not be the most talented team but they sure play clean games.  After two games, the KSU defense hasn't allowed a touchdown and except for a couple QB brain farts here and there, they've been nearly flawless.    Then the bright lights of Monday Night Football are ready to shine on Patrick Mahomes and the league's marquee franchise.  Stan breaks down the matchup for us... spoiler alert... neither of us is all that optimistic for a win.

     It seems crazy but true, Carrington Harrison is officially the longest pursued interview guest of my career.  FIVE YEARS!    Nobody's to blame here, really, it's just been business.  We've always worked with competing companies and, for a couple years, this podcast was a no go zone for a lot of bosses in KC media.    Carrington is not only the best sports talk host in KC, he's a documentary film maker.  He's kind of making the rest of us look lazy and shallow.  Over the past couple years hosting "The Drive" every afternoon on 96.5 The Fan, he was also working on Armageddon at Arrowhead about the epic 2007 MU-KU game in 2007.  The doc is out just in time before Friday's Border War in Lawrence and will hit a streaming service soon.    We chat about our industry, how long it took to make his second film and of course preview Friday's game and the upcoming Chiefs season.  It's been worth the wait.  He's talented, likable, tough and fair.  Enjoy!

     It's being called the biggest oil deal in the history of the world as the United States has its hands on 65 billion barrels of Venzuelan oil.  President Trump says gas prices will shoot downward and he's calling in oil execs this week to put pressure on them asap.    Our favorite Trump impressionist, Shawn Farash, drops a beauty renaming a great lake "Lake Dontario."    Another comedian, Jay Leno, opened up on a podcast that he was overpaid to host the Tonight Show and never spent a dime of it.  Incredible.    The Chiefs roster is set and the two biggest questions are offensive line rotations and.... Harrison Butker?  Yes, this is a huge year for KC's longtime kicker and he'd better pull it together.    Mizzou coach Eli Drinkwitz rips college sports' eligibility rules, KU Athletics as approved a budget that runs on a $13 million deficit and Scottie Scheffler win the Tour Championship.    Royals announcer Ryan Lefebvre did a really, really nice thing this weekend and our Final Final is Dems boycotting a business where they've never been a customer.

  There really is only one target, one campaign slogan, one repeatable line for every Republican running and it's just sitting there for the taking.  If this party can find a way to change the narrative away from Trump and onto this, they could win.    A local meteorologist is bullied relentlessly online for being.... pregnant.  She fights back in a big way and we are all for her.    Trump misses the mark in his selection for a new name for Lake Ontario.  CNN gets it all wrong with images of a Dolly Parton impersonator while covering the iconic singer's death.    In Sports, national media seem to think Mahomes may not play in the opener.  KU names a starting quarterback and it's a bit of a surprise.  KSU is ready to speed up their play calling and offensive pace this year.  And a golf controversy about a company that made an unfunny  commercial is the dumbest cancellation in years.
