    Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) is the most common cause of bronchiolitis, the most common lower respiratory tract infection in infants less than 12 months old. The recent availability of a maternal vaccination and a neonatal/infant immunoglobulin injection provide the chance for a dramatic change in the rates of infection. Unfortunately, an increasing vaccination hesitancy in the United States threatens the potential of these efforts.
