  • God Didn't Answer Job's Questions. He Did Something Better. 29.06.2026 20นาที
God Didn't Answer Job's Questions. He Did Something Better.Thirty-eight chapters. That's how long Job waited for God to say something. And when God finally spoke from the whirlwind, He didn't answer a single one of Job's questions. No explanation for the suffering. No apology for the silence. No theological breakdown of why any of it happened.Instead, God asked Job about the morning stars. And the sea. And the snow. And the bear and her cubs. Most people read that as a rebuke. Today I want to make the case that it was something else entirely. In this episode we're digging into Job 38 and the speech God delivers from the whirlwind, and we're looking at what it actually tells us about who God is. Because the point of the whirlwind speech was never to put Job in his place. It was to show Job something he couldn't see from inside his suffering: that the God who sets boundaries for the sea and counts the clouds had never once looked away. We'll also look at what God says to Job's friends at the end of the book, and why that moment is one of the most theologically important verses in all of Scripture for anyone who has ever tried to explain suffering with a tidy formula. If you're in a season where God feels silent, this episode is for you.In this episode:Why the whirlwind itself is more theologically loaded than most people realizeWhat "gird up your loins like a man" actually means in the ancient world and why it changes how we read God's opening wordsWhy Job's friends were wrong even though they said all the right thingsThe difference between getting answers and getting GodJob 42:5 and why "now my eye has seen You" is the most important line in the whole bookScriptures referenced: Job 38:1-11, Job 42:1-6, Job 42:7-8 (Tree of Life Version)If this episode stirred something in you, here's where you can find me:📖 She's So Scripture: shessoscripture.com📖 She Opens Her Bible: sheopensherbible.com🎥 Subscribe on YouTube: She's So Scripture💌 Want live Bible studies, weekly teachings, audio lessons, devotionals, and a community of women who want depth without pressure or performance? • The Good Samaritan Was Never Just About Being Nice | What Your Sunday School Never Told You 25.06.2026 35นาที
You know this story. Man gets robbed and beaten, two religious leaders walk past him, a Samaritan stops to help. Be a helper, lesson over.Except that’s barely scratching the surface of what’s actually happening here.In this episode I’m digging into why the lawyer’s question was a loophole in disguise, what made the Samaritan such a shocking choice for the hero of this story, and why Yeshua refused to answer the question He was actually asked. This one will change how you read one of the most familiar parables in the whole Bible. If this episode opened something up for you, take fifteen seconds and leave a review on Apple Podcasts. • Fulfill Doesn't Mean What You Think It Means 22.06.2026 16นาที
You've heard this verse your whole life. "I did not come to abolish, but to fulfill." But somewhere along the way, fulfill got quietly swapped out for finish off, like Jesus showed up and closed the book on the Old Testament for good. That is not what the Greek actually says.In this episode I'm breaking down the two Greek words at the center of Matthew 5:17, the second-century heretic whose ideas are still floating around our pulpits today, what Paul has to say about it in Romans, and why this changes how you read your entire Old Testament. Not just this one verse. The whole thing.Grab your coffee. This one's going to mess with a few things you thought were settled. If this episode stirred something in you, here's where you can find me:📖 She's So Scripture: shessoscripture.com📖 She Opens Her Bible: sheopensherbible.com🎥 Subscribe on YouTube: She's So Scripture💌 Want live Bible studies, weekly teachings, audio lessons, devotionals, and a community of women who want depth without pressure or performance? • Episode 7 - Counterfeit Gospel: The Bible Was Never a Self-Help Book 15.06.2026 27นาที
You've heard it. You may have even believed it for a while. Give to this ministry and God will bless you. Declare your healing and it will come. Your best season is right around the corner. It sounds like faith. It even comes with Bible verses attached. But what if what's being sold from some of the biggest stages in Christianity isn't the gospel at all? What if it's a counterfeit? This week we pull back the curtain on what the counterfeit gospel actually costs the people who believe it, and what the real one actually offers. Press play. This one matters. • Podcast Episode 5 - Kadosh: What It Actually Means That God Is Holy 01.06.2026 22นาที
The Hebrew word behind "holy" is kadosh and it doesn't mean morally perfect. It means other. In this episode we go back to the Hebrew, walk through Isaiah's throne room, unpack the theology built into the Temple's architecture, and land on what God actually says the set-apart life looks like in Leviticus 19. If you've been exhausted by a version of holiness that felt like a checklist you could never finish, this one is for you.If this episode stirred something in you, here's where you can find me:📖 She's So Scripture: shessoscripture.com📖 She Opens Her Bible: sheopensherbible.com🎥 Subscribe on YouTube: She's So Scripture💌 Want live Bible studies, weekly teachings, audio lessons, devotionals, and a community of women who want depth without pressure or performance? • Episode 4 - Faith Without Works Is a Vibe, Not a Lifestyle 26.05.2026 17นาที
Everyone knows James 2. “Faith without works is dead.” It’s on coffee mugs. It’s embroidered on throw pillows. And most of us have heard it taught in a way that leaves us either anxious about our performance or totally confused about how it fits with grace. But here’s the thing: we’ve been reading this letter out of context. In this episode we dig into the whole of James 2, from the synagogue scene with the rich man and the poor man, to the royal law, to Abraham, to Rahab the prostitute. We pull the threads that connect chapters 1 and 2 into one unified argument. And we sit with what it actually means that James calls a faith without works not weak, not underdeveloped, but dead.If this episode stirred something in you, share it with a friend who might need it too.And if it left you wanting to go slower and deeper into the Word, I’ve got you!Paid subscribers get access to live Bible studies, extended studies, devotionals. theological teaching, spiritual formation practices, and a community of women who want depth without pressure or performance. If you’re ready to step further into the Word, you’re welcome inside.👉🏻 Join The VaultIf a paid subscription isn’t feasible right now but this space has blessed you, you can leave a one-time tip here. • The Sermon on the Mount Was Never What You Think It Was 11.05.2026 11นาที
You’ve read the Sermon on the Mount. You’ve probably memorized parts of it. But there’s a good chance you’ve been reading it through a lens that strips out everything that made it so powerful to the people who actually heard it.In this episode, we’re pulling back the curtain on three of the biggest misconceptions surrounding Matthew 5 through 7, starting with the assumption that Yeshua was doing something brand new on that hillside. He wasn’t. He was a first-century Jewish rabbi doing exactly what first-century Jewish rabbis did, except with an authority nobody else could touch. We’re also going to talk about what Yeshua actually meant when he said he didn’t come to abolish the Torah, because that phrase means something very specific in its original context and most of us have been reading it wrong. And then we’re going to sit with the Beatitudes for a minute, because they are not the inspirational sentiments we’ve turned them into. They are prophetic declarations soaked in the Psalms and the prophets, and once you hear them that way, you won’t be able to unhear it.This is the Sermon on the Mount the way it was always meant to be read.
