  Nicolas Masseyeff discovered electronic music in 1989 on the French Riviera and soon opened his record store, Limelight, which became a key spot in Southern France. Influenced by minimalism, jazz, new wave, and early techno and house, he began producing in 1998, finding his true sound by 2006. Early releases like the “Hostages” EP and his Vedrenn alias work established his presence, alongside collaborations within the Plantage13 collective.From 2008 onward, Masseyeff gained wider recognition with releases on Herzblut and collaborations with Oxia, leading to his debut album The Motherland in 2011. He continued evolving through releases on major labels and collaborations with artists like Miss Kittin and Kavinsky, later co-founding Diversions Music. Recent years have seen acclaimed projects with Parallelle, including ENDLESS, “Renegade,” and multiple 2024 releases, showcasing his signature blend of melodic depth, groove, and emotional energy. 01.   Mohamed Maks, known as Maks since childhood, was born in London in 1988 to Egyptian immigrant parents. While at school, he developed a passion for drums and percussion, influenced by his cultural roots, though he didn’t initially see himself as a musician. In the early 2000s, he began collecting music and became active in the local scene, performing at youth events like Bigga Fish and appearing on pirate radio station Passion FM. Growing up around garage and jungle music heavily shaped his early sound and direction.After 25 years in London, Maks returned to the Middle East, where he established himself as a key figure in the regional electronic scene. Known for pioneering minimal and microhouse in the region, he has introduced and collaborated with international artists. His career accelerated in 2023 with appearances at multiple Sunwaves festival editions and respected global venues.
