Kane FM

Kane FM is a not-for-profit Community Radio Station that is based in Guildford, United Kingdom, and broadcasts to the surrounding area via 103.7FM as well as through an online stream worldwide​​. The radio station, which began as a pirate radio station in the 90s, officially started broadcasting on 28th October 2011​​. Kane FM is unique in its approach to music. It is dedicated to delivering great music that\'s not often represented on commercial stations, including genres like electronic, hip hop, techno, drum & bass, dub, funk & soul, house, roots & culture, among others. The playlists are put into the hands of the DJs, giving the station a distinct and diverse sound​​. The station runs with the help of volunteers and strives to serve as a platform for real music, with a focus on inclusion and engagement of the community. It encourages participation and provides opportunities for volunteering and improving technical, social, cultural, and artistic skills. The station also runs a special project named \"MindWaves\" for 14-25-year-olds with special needs and/or mental health challenges​​.
