Radio Cardiff, also known as 98.7 FM, is an award-winning community radio station located in Cardiff, the capital city of Wales. Broadcasting live from Butetown, it serves the multicultural communities in Cardiff and the surrounding Vale of Glamorgan with a diverse range of music styles and local & national news. Each week, over 26,000 listeners tune into Radio Cardiff, making it a vital part of the city\'s daily life​. The station is unique in that it\'s the only community radio station in Cardiff, and also the only terrestrial station of any kind that broadcasts exclusively to Cardiff\'s multi-cultural population. It offers an alternative to mainstream BBC and commercial radio stations with a distinctive blend of music and speech programming, including genres like soul, jazz, reggae, blues, house, soca, RnB, hip-hop, ska, and funk​​.
