University Radio Falmer

\"University Radio Falmer (URF) is the University of Sussex\'s online student radio station that offers live broadcasts 24/7. Broadcasting from the heart of the University of Sussex campus in Brighton and Hove, URF has been an integral part of the university life since its first air date on February 14, 1976. As one of the oldest and most well-known student radio stations in the United Kingdom, URF has been serving an ever-growing audience with diverse content, all curated and presented by student volunteers, producers, and presenters​​. URF is known for its unplaylisted broadcasts, DJ events, and special broadcasts from the Attenborough Centre for Creative Arts. The radio station also shows its commitment to the community by organizing annual \'Twenty-Four Hour Broadcasts\', raising money for local charities including Rise, Mind Out, The Clock Tower Sanctuary and Brighton and Sussex Marrow​​. Over the years, URF has continued to evolve and adapt to changes. It fully embraced the digital era in 2006, becoming a fully digital and online radio station. In 2018, URF launched a new website and conducted the first ever 24 Hour Charity Broadcast. It also entered a year-long collaboration with the Sydney University Radio Group (SURG) in 2019, sharing content and programming between both stations​.
