  • The Terrible Podcast — New Cornerbacks, McCarthy's Cleaning House Comment, Week 5 Team Woes & More 07.10.2026 1h 22m
October 7, 2026 - Season 17, Episode 32 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Wednesday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the new cornerbacks the Pittsburgh Steelers have their 53-man roster Sean Murphy-Bunting and Terell Smith. We discuss how both players are likely to be in unform right away for the team. The Steelers also made a few other transactions since our last show, so we make sure to recap those heading into Wednesday morning. Will Steelers RB Rico Dowdle make it back from his toe injury this week? Alex and I go over what he had to say about his rehab on Tuesday. Steelers HC Mike McCarthy talked about the team having to clean their own house during his Monday media session, so we go over how several people missed the context of what he was saying. We also discuss what McCarthy had to say about the animated player reactions Thursday night and specifically when it comes to QB Aaron Rodgers and OLB T.J. Watt during the Week 4 game against the Cleveland Browns. The Steelers three coordinators, Brian Angelichio, Patrick Graham, and Danny Crossman, talked to the media on Monday so Alex and I recap the main talking points that came out of those press conferences. As we start getting ready for the Steelers Week 5 home game against the Indianapolis Colts, Alex and I go over the lengthy list of woes the team has on offense, defense, and special teams after the first four games of the 2026 regular season. This 81-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted in the recap above and we end this show by answering several emails we received from listeners. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. • The Terrible Podcast — Injury Updates, New Practice Squad Player, Steelers-Browns All-22, Pittman Jr. & More 05.10.2026 1h 44m
October 5, 2026 - Season 17, Episode 31 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Monday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the injury updates on the two Pittsburgh Steelers' players, DT Derrick Harmon and CB Jamel Dean, as the team heads into Week 5. With Harmon expected to be sidelined for multiple weeks, will rookie defensive linemen Gabriel Rubio and Kevin Jobity Jr. start seeing game action? Will one or both be active for the team's Week 5 game against the Indianapolis Colts? We address those two questions. The Steelers reportedly have a new practice squad player as of Monday morning, so we go over that bit of news. Alex and I also address the production of Steelers WR Michael Pittman Jr. through the first four games of the regular season and how it needs to increase over the course of the next three games. With the all-22 tape from the Steelers Thursday night road loss to the Cleveland Browns now fully digested by both of us, Alex and I provide some extended thoughts on the offensive, defensive and special teams units coming out of that game. Finally, Alex and I recap the state of the AFC North after the first four weeks of the 2026 regular season. This 79-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted in the recap above and we end this show by answering several emails we received from listeners. • The Terrible Podcast — Steelers-Browns Game Recap, Joey Porter Jr. Trade To Cowboys, Week 4 Picks & More 02.10.2026 1h 59m
October 2, 2026 - Season 17, Episode 30 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Friday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the Pittsburgh Steelers' 27-24 loss to the Cleveland Browns on Thursday night. We start this show off with our overviews of the Steelers' Week 4 loss in addition to our initial thoughts on the trading of CB Joey Porter Jr. to the Dallas Cowboys late Wednesday night. Alex and I discuss the play of the Steelers offense, defense, and special teams on Thursday night and how all three of those units contributed to the road loss in Cleveland. Several plays are highlighted during our breakdown of the game, and we go over a few key stats from the contest as well. The Amazon Prime cameras showed quite a bit of frustration out of QB Aaron Rodgers, OLB T.J. Watt, and DT Cameron Heyward during the Thursday night game, so we address that topic for a bit. The Steelers sustained two notable injuries during their loss to the Browns, so we go over what is known about the statuses of DT Derrick Harmon and CB Jamel Dean as of Friday morning. We also address the Thursday night inactive list during this show in addition to the few transactions the team made Thursday afternoon. Later in this Friday morning show, Alex and I spend more time on Porter Jr. being traded to the Cowboys. We discuss what led to the trade, the compensation the Steelers received, and whether the team should have done more to sign Porter Jr. We wrap up this Friday show by picking the remaining Week 4 NFL games against the spreads. This 117-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted in the recap above and we end this show by answering several emails we received from listeners. steelersdepot.com Learn more about your ad choices. In this Wednesday morning show, Alex Kozora and I discuss the Pittsburgh Steelers' Tuesday injury report ahead of the team's Week 4 Thursday night road game against the Cleveland Browns. We go over how all eyes will be on CB Jalen Ramsey (wrist) and CB Brandin Echols (concussion). We also discuss whether this will be the game that CB Joey Porter Jr. finally makes his debut in. On the heels of us finally getting through the all-22 tape from the Steelers' Week 3 home win against the Cincinnati Bengals, Alex and I give our thoughts on what we observed from the offense, defense, and special teams units. We move on and go over what Steelers HC Mike McCarthy had to say this past week during his two press conferences. We also discuss what kind of workload we should expect from RB Jaylen Warren on Thursday night following his great Week 3 game and with this being a short week. Will or should the Steelers make DT Derrick Harmon a team captain for the Thursday night game versus the Browns? We discuss that question after first talking about how he's played through the first three games of the 2026 regular season. With the Week 4 road game against the Browns coming up on Thursday night, Alex and I are joined by Scott Petrak, who covers Cleveland at Brownszone.com. Scott provides his insight into the 2026 Browns ahead of the game and answers several questions we have about Cleveland's offense and defense. At the end of our interview, Scott provides us with a final score prediction for Thursday's game in Cleveland. • The Terrible Podcast — Steelers-Bengals Game Recap, O-Line Changes, Porter Jr. Trade Chatter & More 28.09.2026 1h 20m
September 28, 2026 - Season 17, Episode 28 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Monday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the Pittsburgh Steelers' 30-27 win over the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday to move to 2-1 on the season. Alex and I discuss the team's perceived health coming out of its third regular-season game in addition to going over the seven players who were inactive for that contest, one of which was once again CB Joey Porter Jr. The trade chatter surrounding Porter Jr. continued to pick up over the weekend so Alex and I go over the possibility of him being jettisoned to another team before Thursday night. The Steelers made several roster moves on Saturday with one of those being rookie OG Gennings Dunker being placed on the Reserve/Injured list. We also discuss the two elevations from the practice squad the team made on Saturday in addition to RB Travis Homer being signed to the 53-man roster. The Steelers offense really looked great against the Bengals, so we start on that side of the football as part of our game recap. We discuss OG Brock Hoffman and OT Max Iheanachor starting against the Bengals on the right side and how both players performed really well. RB Jaylen Warren had a fantastic game on Sunday as did QB Aaron Rodgers. We discuss the effectiveness of the running game against the Bengals and especially when using 12 personnel. The Steelers schemed up several great plays on Sunday with three of those resulting in touchdowns. As great as the offense played on Sunday, Alex and I discuss a few other plays that could have been made in the win. While the Steelers certainly played well enough defensively on Sunday to win, they still allowed the Bengals' offense to move quite easily throughout the game. Even so, we discuss how the defense got big plays from DT Cameron Heyward and DT Derrick Harmon in the fourth quarter to help secure a key AFC North victory. We talk about several snap counts players on the defense registered on Sunday against the Bengals and how the zone-heavy plan on that side of the football only yielded four explosive plays of 20 yards or longer. The Steelers' special teams play against the Bengals was just good enough on Sunday. Alex and I discuss the good, bad and ugly from Sunday’s game when it comes to that phase of the team. Can Steelers now move forward and avoid a letdown Thursday night when they play the Cleveland Browns on the road? We discuss how important it is for such a thing to not happen after such a huge win on Sunday against the Bengals. This 79-minute episode also discusses several other minor topics not noted in the recap above and we end this show by answering several emails we received from listeners. • The Terrible Podcast — Steelers Vs. Bengals Preview, Porter Jr. Thursday Presser, Week 3 Picks & More 25.09.2026 1h 37m
September 25, 2026 - Season 17, Episode 27 of The Terrible Podcast is now in the can. In this Friday morning show, Alex Kozora and I get right into discussing the Thursday injury report the Pittsburgh Steelers released ahead of the team's week 3 home game against the Cincinnati Bengals. We go over how all eyes will be on WR Michael Pittman Jr. (foot), RB Rico Dowdle (toe), OG Gennings Dunker (knee), and CB Joey Porter Jr. (NIR/conditioning) when it comes to the Friday injury report. Will the Steelers make a few practice squad elevations on Saturday? Will the team have new starters on the right side of their offensive line on Sunday against the Bengals? What will the Week 3 pregame inactive list look like? Alex and I attempt to answer those questions early in this show. Porter Jr. met the media on Thursday, and it marked his first presser since the regular season started. We go over what Porter Jr. did and didn’t say on Thursday in addition to talking about him potentially seeing his first game action of the 2026 season on Sunday. With the Week 3 home game against the Bengals coming up on Sunday, Alex and I are joined by Jay Morrison, who covers Cincinnati for Sports Illustrated at BengalsTalk.com. Jay provides his insight on the 2026 Bengals ahead of them facing the Steelers, and he answers several questions we have about Cincinnati’s offense and defense.
