Slow Japanese is a podcast for beginner to intermediate Japanese learners (roughly A1 to B1/B2), launched in 2021 by Akari, a certified Japanese teacher. Each episode is spoken slowly and clearly so that learners can practise listening and pick up natural spoken Japanese from the very first day. Akari created the show after seeing many learners struggle with listening and speaking, with the aim of making those skills feel easier and more natural. Transcripts and exclusive lessons are available through Patreon, and a free guide on improving Japanese listening and speaking is offered via the show's website.
