Episode 207: Choosing Jesus even when it's hard - Riley's Story 09.07.2026 15m"I want to be a Christian." Riley said. Ava's eyes widened before a huge smile spread across her face. "Really?" Riley nodded, emotion catching in her throat. "Watching you these past few months changed something in me. Like… everything hasn't exactly been easy for you, but you still trust God anyway. You still have peace." She glanced over at her friend. "I've never met anyone like that before." Ava looked down shyly. "That peace isn't me. It's God." "I know," Riley whispered. "And whenever I'm around you, I feel it too. Like my mind finally goes quiet for once." The breeze stirred around them. "But my family hates the idea," Riley admitted after a moment. "They think I'm being dramatic or brainwashed or something." She swallowed hard. "At first I wanted to argue back and prove them wrong, but… I don't think that's what God wants." Ava nodded slowly. "Probably not." "So I'm not going to fight them," Riley continued. "I'm going to pray for them instead. And my aunt said I can stay with her if things get too hard. She doesn't really care what I believe, but at least there'll be peace." ______________________________________________________ Join us as we dive into the story of Riley - the modernised story of Ruth found in the book of Ruth in the Bible. Her name is Ruth. You can find her story in the Book of Ruth. Here is a sneak peek.... Naomi turned to her, her voice more urgent now. "Look," she said, gesturing down the road. "Your sister-in-law is going back to her people and her gods. Go back with her." Ruth shook her head, her fingers tightening around Naomi's cloak. Her voice, when she spoke, was steady. "Don't urge me to leave you," she said quietly. Naomi stilled. Ruth took a step closer. "Or to turn back from following you." The golden light of the rising sun touched her face, and for a moment, everything seemed to hold its breath. "Where you go, I will go," Ruth continued, her voice growing stronger. "And where you stay, I will stay." Naomi's eyes filled with tears again, but this time she didn't speak... Episode 203: From Pages High - Almost Honest: Sydney's story 07.05.2026 21mTurning, she almost dropped the platter when she saw that one of the visitors had followed her to the kitchen and was standing in the doorway watching her. Sydney wondered if he wanted to steal her watch; it was a valuable piece. Mustering up her most practised kind smile, she put her hand to her chest and spoke, "Oh , you scared me! How can I help you?" She kept her smile in place, waiting for him to answer. For a second she didn't think he would, and felt her lips begin to shake. How long was she supposed to keep smiling? But when he finally spoke, she felt the blood drain from her face and her smile disappear completely. "You don't need to pretend you know," he began, his eyes boring right into her. "There's no one around. I know you don't like us being here. The only reason I came was that Ms. Jenny has shown me a Jesus who forgives and accepts me. She's genuine, and I came to meet her God. I knew they'd be people who would look down at us; they always do, in and out of church, but I don't care. You, however? You're good, smiling and welcoming, preparing food being the perfect Christian. You play your part very, very well, but you're lying through your teeth to everyone, especially to yourself. Do you think I need help? Look in the mirror, you're doing more harm than good." Then he turned and walked away. ______________________________________________________ Join us as we dive into the story of Sydney's story - the modernised story of Sapphira found in Acts 5:1-11. Episode 202: Q&A with Esther & Steph: Did I Push Them Away Instead of Closer to God? 23.04.2026 7mWelcome to our monthly Q&A with Esther and Steph. Today's question says: I have a friend who has been a Christian for only a couple of years. We haven't actually been friends for very long. I am used to talking to people about Jesus like we were all just born on the altar. I ask great questions about the Lord and quiz my friends all the time. But when I talk to him…he doesn't want to answer my questions; he dislikes when I quiz him about anything Bible. And well, I was ambitious and a little bit frustrated, and I most likely scared him off rather than pull him closer. What should I do? Great question! Let's answer on this podcast! _________________________________ READ QUESTION ON THE BLOG Buy The Royal Palace - 6 women of the Bible Keep in the loop by signing up for our GIGI Notes HERE Hosts: Esther & Steph Mix & effects: Stephanie Giselle Music: www.purple-planet.com email us: [email protected] Write by post GIGI Teen Bible Talk PO BOX 6505 Upper Mt Gravatt QLD 4122 music credit: Purple planet music All music played on the podcast radio is covered under the APRA AMCOS Online Mini Licence. -
Episode 201: The Danger of Half-Truths - The story of Sapphira 09.04.2026 15mHey GIGI girls, Today we have a brand-new story for you - we are looking at a woman in the Bible found in the New Testament. She was married to Ananias, and they both made a terrible mistake. You can find their story in your Bible in Acts 5: 1-11. Here is a sneak peek.... A small leather bag filled with coins lay on the table between them. Ananias paced back and forth. Sapphira watched him. Her stomach fluttered. "We have to decide now," he said, voice low and urgent. They had sold a field—something many believers had been doing to support the new church. The generosity was incredible, and people admired it deeply. Barnabas had given a magnificent gift just the week before, and his name was on everyone's lips. Sapphira's eyes dropped to the bag of coins. "Are we truly giving all of it?" she asked quietly. Ananias stopped pacing and looked at her with a confident smile. "We'll give most of it," he said. "Enough to look like everything. No one will know." A breeze slipped through the open doorway, brushing cold across her arms. "But… we said we would give it all," she whispered. Ananias stepped closer, lowering his voice. "Sapphira, listen. We're not lying to God. We're still helping the church. We just don't need to tell them about the part we're keeping." Her throat tightened. The uneasy feeling in her spirit grew heavier. Respect. Admiration. Approval. The things she secretly wanted crowded her thoughts. And the coins glimmered temptingly in the dim morning light. She nodded. But her heart felt heavy as stone. Episode 199: From Pages High Academy - Shine with Purpose: The story of Dahlia 12.03.2026 17mDahlia parked her car and began to pull out what she'd need for the day. "Hey Dahlia, need some help?" Dahlia looked up to see Adam, Kate and Jason heading her way. "Actually, that would be great," Dahlia smiled, piling their outstretched arms with a few boxes and bags, while she pulled her small trolley with more things. "I'm heading to the Home Ec. room," she said. "Hey, Dahlia, I just, um, wanted to say thanks for the tutoring club you volunteer at after school on Tuesdays. I got my maths test, and I passed. I don't think I've ever gotten a pass before," Jason laughed. "Oh, that's awesome! And you're welcome. I'm just glad I could help; I remember learning that in when I was in grade 10 and it was a lot," Dahlia smiled. "Yeah, thanks for always helping; it does mean a lot to us," Kate agreed. She'd been tutored in English, and her grades had improved too. "Aww, I'm so glad I love helping," she smiled. "Have fun with the Grade 8's this afternoon. I think my brother Eli has a crush on you." Adam laughed. He and his friends headed off to class. Dahlia shook her head, laughed and thanked them for their help in helping her carry everything. ______________________________________________________ Join us as we dive into the story of Dahlia - the modernised story of Dorcas found in Acts 9:36-42. Episode 197: When Kindness Becomes Powerful: The Story of Dorcas 12.02.2026 15mHey GIGI girls, Welcome to a brand new year! We are super excited to be here with you - we hope this space is blessed and you walk away inspired and understanding the Bible a little more. Today we are looking at the story of Dorcas - you can find her story in the Bible in Acts 9: 36-42. Here is a sneak peek.... ------------------------------------------- The room was filled with grief. The widows cried. Everyone felt like their light had been snuffed out. They washed her body with gentle hands and lavender-scented oil. Then they placed her upstairs in a quiet room. But the believers were not ready to give up. They heard that the apostle Peter was in a town not too far away—Lydda. Two men rushed there, dust in their eyes, sweat drying on their skin from running in the sun. "Please," they begged. "Come quickly." Radio Episode 196: From Pages High Academy - Searching in Secret - Nic's story 04.12.2025 18mNicolas had grown up in church. His great-grandparents had helped build the little church his family attended. His mother and sister led worship, his father was an elder, his older brother was the youth activity coordinator and his uncle was one of the treasurers. Everybody knew the Fletcher family "the faithful ones." And that was kind of the problem. Everyone assumed Nicolas already knew everything about the Bible. His youth class teachers called on him first. The younger kids idolised him. Even his friends joked, "If anyone's got a direct line to God, it's Nick!" He'd laugh it off, but inside, he felt uneasy. Because truthfully—he didn't have it all figured out. Not even close. Join us as we dive into the story of Nic - the modernised story of Nicodemus found in John 3:1-21. ALSO We did a mic roam and asked girls and guys your age if, as Christians, we have to know everything about the Bible. What did they say? Radio Episode 194: Midnight Faith: Nicodemus' secret visit 07.11.2025 19mNicodemus stepped through the narrow streets, his sandals brushing against the cool stones. The scent of burning wood drifted from nearby homes. His heart pounded faster with each step. Finally, he reached the place where Jesus was staying. A soft light flickered inside — maybe from a small oil lamp. Nicodemus hesitated, then knocked lightly. Jesus looked up as the door opened. His eyes, calm and kind, met Nicodemus's. It was as if He already knew why he had come. "Rabbi," Nicodemus began, his voice trembling slightly, "we know that you are a teacher who has come from God. No one could perform the signs you are doing if God were not with him." Jesus smiled gently. "Truly, truly, I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again." Nicodemus blinked. The words hit him like a rush of wind. Born again? His mind raced. This week we dive into the story of Nicodemus' secret visit to see Jesus - you can find the story in your Bibles in John 3:1–21. Nicodemus is mentioned in the Bible a few times - check the Bible references below. John 3:1-21: Nicodemus, a Pharisee and a ruler of the Jews, secretly meets with Jesus at night, leading to their famous conversation about the need to be born again to see the kingdom of God. John 7:50-51: Nicodemus interjects during a council meeting, reminding the other Pharisees that the law requires a person to be heard before being condemned, defending Jesus from their hasty judgment. John 19:39-42: After Jesus' crucifixion, Nicodemus joins Joseph of Arimathea to care for Jesus' body. He brings a large amount of myrrh and aloes for the anointing and burial, which is a public act of reverence. ___________________________________ Read story on the blog Contact us to sign up Visit our website Artist of the month: We the Kingdom - God so loved Keep in the loop by signing to our GIGI Notes HERE DON'T FORGET TO SUBSCRIBE Hosts: Esther & Steph Mix & effects: Stephanie Giselle Purple Planet Music email us: [email protected] Write by post GIGI Teen Radio PO BOX 6505 Upper Mt Gravatt QLD 4122 music credit: Purple planet music All music played on the podcast radio is covered under the APRA AMCOS Online Mini Licence. -

Radio Episode 192: From Pages High Academy - Mia's Story of Gossip & Grace 09.10.2025 19mThat night, Mia tossed and turned in bed. She closed her eyes, trying to pray—but all she could hear was her own voice from earlier. "Why her?" "I deserve to be noticed." "I'm better than her." Suddenly, Mia felt a strange heaviness.
