And if you haven't heard part one, go bak and start there. but if you're ready for what happens when the waiting finally breaks open, this is that conversation. Because part two is where things get real, where preparation meets the moment. Today, we go deeper. And if you thought part one was good, stay with us, it just got better.

  • At 48, God Is Just Getting Started 13.10.2026 33m
John Dougherty had the career, the title, and the life many people spend years pursuing. But at 48, one unexpected nudge from God changed everything. From corporate success to a deeper faith, a transformed marriage, and a new sense of purpose, John's story reminds us that God can redirect our lives when we least expect it. As Philippians 3:13–14 reminds us: “Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” It's not too late. The time is now. And God isn't finished with your story.
  • Leonard McKinnon - Built Through Fire 06.10.2026 51m
Some people grow up with a head start. Leonard McKinnon grew up in Mississippi with the opposite. Extreme poverty shaped his earliest years in ways most people never experience — and the road from there included an arrest and a fight for independence that demanded everything he had. But what makes Leonard's story worth telling isn't just what he survived. It's how he survived it. Through every trial, every low point, every moment where the bottom seemed to drop out again — Leonard leaned on God. Not perfectly. Not without struggle. But consistently, stubbornly, faithfully. In this episode of Iron Parable, Leonard shares what it looks like to build a life on faith when you start with nothing — and why the hardest seasons are sometimes the ones that show you exactly who God is. Romans 5:3-4 "We also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perserverance; perserverance, character; and character, hope."

  • Calling, Preparation, and a Powerful Jesus - Part 1 22.09.2026 55m
Part 1 Some people run from God. Lourens Alexander was never one of them. But saying yes to God and knowing what God is asking of you are two very different things — and for Lourens, the gap between them has been a lifelong wrestling match. Lourens grew up in South Africa and has carried that journey across continents — walking through many, many low points in his pursuit of purpose. The kind of low points that quietly wear a person down when nobody's watching. But it was during his final year of university — through a lost son in Cape Town — that something cracked open. And what Lourens encountered wasn't a softer, more manageable version of Jesus. It was the same Jesus from the Bible. Unfiltered. Powerful. Real. In this episode of Iron Parable, Lourens shares his journey of continual wrestling, lifelong preparation, and what happens when the God of Elijah meets a man who has been waiting his whole life to be sent. This conversation is for the lost and the intellectual alike — anyone who has ever asked God, "what are you doing with my life?" Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Revelation 12:11 "the trimphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony."
  • Broken Trust. Redeemed Life 15.09.2026 47m
Childhood trauma. Broken trust. Fear that never got a name. For Guy Sharpe, those early wounds became the foundationn for years of addiction, pornography, life in the adult entertainment industry, and relationships that couldn't hold the weight of all that pain. But underneath every dark chapter was a thread he couldn't shake--a God who kept showing up. Not after Guy cleaned himself up. Not once he figured it all out. Right in the middle of his darkest season.  This isn't a tidy story with an easy ending. It's a story of a man beign slowly, patiently rebuilt by love he couldn't outrun.  Psalms 18:19: "He brought me out into a broad place; he rescued me, because he delighted in me." • When God has the Final Word 08.09.2026 43m
Some people sail through life. David Simmonds was not one of them. From a spinal injury on the football field at Texas Tech that doctors said had less than a 5% chance of recovery, to a ruptured colon and sepsis that nearly killed him — alone in a hospital for 29 days — to a divorce and betrayal that would have broken most men, David has walked through storms that don't make sense. And yet through every single one, his faith never wavered. In this episode of Iron Parable, David shares his story of resilience, radical trust, and what it looks like to keep saying yes to God when life keeps saying no. He also shares how a backyard conversation with nine Jews, eight Muslims, and seven atheists turned into one of the most powerful ministry moments of his life — and why he believes God was preparing him for it through every hard thing he ever endured. If you've ever felt like you've been dealt an unfair hand, this conversation will remind you that God doesn't waste a single trial.   If you want to connect with SEARCH Ministries: https://searchnational.org/fort-worth

After 45 years of pastoral and missionary ministry spanning four continents, retired Chaplain Earl Murdoch sits down to share the story behind the ministry — a journey that started with childhood faith and was refined through seasons of grief, loss, and profound loneliness. Earl opens up about the moment everything shifted: a word from the Holy Spirit spoken into his darkest hour, and the almost-immediate change it sparked in how he understood God. What emerged was a faith no longer built on performance — on doing enough to please the Father — but on implicit trust in His faithfulness.   "The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." — Lamentations 3:22-23 Stay faithful. Stay encouraged. Stay sharp. And remember, God is still writing your story. And every story can be an Iron Parable.,
