  • Is Light the Future of Medicine? | With David Schmidt, Founder and Inventor of Life Wave | Ep.74 06.10.2026 1h 13m
Today, we turned the lights on in the studio to talk about a different kind of light. My husband Adam, got to sit down with someone whose work has genuinely changed our family's health this past year — David Schmidt, founder and inventor of LifeWave. David opens with a claim that sounds almost too simple to be true: light is foundational to everything, down to the cellular level and your body is emitting it right now. He walks us through the science of biophotons, how his research on destroying cancer cells in college and developing survival tech for Navy SEALs eventually led him to invent phototherapy patches that trigger real biochemical change without a drug or a needle. But David doesn't stop at the science. He ties it back to Genesis — "let there be light" — and we talk about the real difference between chasing longevity out of fear of aging and death, versus pursuing health so we can love God and our families well for as long as we're here. We also get practical: minerals, magnesium, oxytocin, and why no patch replaces the foundation of sleep, movement, real food, and water. • I Let Dr. Amen Scan My Brain — Here's What He Found | Ep. 73 30.09.2026 50m
I was recently a guest on Dr. Daniel Amen's podcast, Change Your Brain Every Day, and the conversation was so meaningful I wanted to share it with you here too. I sat down with Dr. Amen to talk about something I haven't spoken about publicly much: the last few years have been some of the hardest of my life — back-to-back hardship in motherhood, marriage, business, and health. I've always considered myself resilient, but I got honest with him about hitting a wall I didn't recognize in myself. Dr. Amen actually scanned my brain using SPECT imaging, and what we found surprised both of us — real, physical evidence of impact from the shark attack, decades later. We get into fame and why it was harder for me to process than the attack itself, the toll chronic stress takes on the brain, my journey with Rolfing and nervous system regulation, and how prayer itself measurably changes brain activity.   Check out Bethany on "Change Your Brain Everyday" with Dr. Amen   Try the LifeWave Patches!   Stay safe in the water with Shark Banz   Connect with All Things Possible Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/SurferBethanyHamiltonInstagram: @bethanyhamiltonTikTok: @bethanyhamiltonofficialYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@TheBethanyHamiltonWebsite: https://bethanyhamilton.com “Want to come surf with me and join a life changing experience? • DIVING DEEPER | Do You Have a Good Conscience? | Pastor Bryan Wolfmueller | EP. 72 02.09.2026 38m
This week on Diving Deeper, Adam sits down with Pastor Bryan Wolfmueller here on Kauai to talk about something we all have but rarely talk about. Our conscience! Pastor Bryan breaks it down in a way that only a great American Pastor would: with a sports analogy! The conscience as a home plate umpire, calling balls and strikes on everything we say and do, and sometimes getting the call wrong. As a window, where a dirty conscience doesn't just make the world outside look dangerous, it makes us start seeing our own sin reflected in everyone around us. We talk about how a tender conscience gets calloused over time, sin by sin, commandment by commandment, and why some of the sins we've stopped feeling guilty over might be the ones we need to feel most. But this isn't just a conversation about guilt. There is GOOD NEWS! Pastor Bryan walks through the difference between guilt and shame, why our own effort can never wash us clean, and how the conscience is made new — cleansed through faith in Christ's blood, and healed through a life of service and love.    Try the LifeWave Patches! • Birthing Babies Pt. 1 | Bethany's Best Friends Share Their Stories | Ep. 71 25.08.2026 1h 1m
This week I brought my two dearest childhood friends, Michelle and Noelani, onto the podcast to talk birthing babies! Between the three of us, we've had nine babies, home births, hospital births, an emergency C-section, and a VBAC. We get into the back labor no one warns you about, the moment a single nurse changed the outcome of a five-hour push, and the chaos of a car crash blocking a midwife's route to a home birth. We also answer your Instagram questions — home vs. hospital birth, delayed cord clamping, and prepping baby's position before labor even starts. Friend, however your babies came into the world, we're cheering you on.   Try the LifeWave Patches! • Going Viral and Staying Grounded | Julia Poe Petersen | Ep. 70 04.08.2026 31m
This week I'm on the beach in California with my new friend Julia Poe Petersen. You might know her voice before you know her name. She sang the collab verse on one of my favorite Forest Frank songs, and I knew I had to have her on! Julia's story is a social media story through and through. Viral livestreams from her bedroom piano during Covid, a husband she met on TikTok, an audience of 850,000+ built. But this conversation isn't really about the growth. It's about what it took to stay steady underneath it. The comparison she battled at 16, the discontent that crept in the moment the whole world showed up in her pocket, and how she found an identity that didn't move every time the numbers did. We talk about rebuilding confidence through faith instead of followers, why she and her husband refuse to fake their beliefs for content, the family-priority stance that gets her comment section fired up every time, and how she's already thinking about protecting her own kids from the platforms that shaped her. Friend, if you or a loved one is struggling with how to navigate the online world with authenticity, this one is for you. • Is Sugar Actually Good For You? | The Nutrition Coach Emma Sgourakis | Ep. 69 21.07.2026 58m
This week I sat down with Emma Sgourakis — known as The Nutrition Coach — right here on Kauai, and we got into something I don't think gets talked about enough: how fear, not food, might be the real thing making us sick. About Emma: Emma is a certified clinical nutritionist based in Sydney with over 20 years in practice, working with everyone from busy moms to professional athletes. She's the only Australian nutritionist officially affiliated with the Peat Nutrition Consultants network, building on the research of the late Dr. Ray Peat, PhD. Her writing has been featured in Australian Elle, Vogue, and Marie Claire, among others. In this conversation, Emma shares her own journey through nearly every diet trend imaginable before landing on something simpler — trusting the body instead of fighting it. We talk about why chronic under-eating quietly wrecks your metabolism, why fruit was never the enemy, why "sugar" isn't one thing (cane sugar, fruit sugar, and fake sweeteners like stevia all send your body very different messages), and why slowing down and actually enjoying your food matters more than we think. • DIVING DEEPER: The Shroud of Turin: Could This Be Evidence of the Resurrection? | Ep.68 07.07.2026 2h 15m
For centuries, the Shroud of Turin has fascinated historians, scientists, skeptics, and believers alike. Is it truly the burial cloth of Jesus, or simply one of history's greatest mysteries? In this episode of All Things Possible, Pastor Brian Stecker sits down with Dr. John Bambaro to explore the remarkable evidence surrounding the Shroud of Turin. Together, they unpack decades of scientific research, archaeological discoveries, historical records, and biblical connections that have made the shroud one of the most studied artifacts in history. While our faith ultimately rests in the risen Christ, this conversation explores how the Shroud can serve as a compelling signpost pointing back to the truth of Scripture and the reality of Jesus' death and resurrection. Whether you're skeptical, curious, or simply looking to deepen your faith, this episode offers a thoughtful and engaging look at one of Christianity's most fascinating subjects. In this episode you'll discover:• What the Shroud of Turin actually is• Why many scientists no longer believe it's a medieval painting• The evidence connecting the cloth to first-century Jerusalem• How the wounds align with the Gospel accounts of Jesus' crucifixion• Why the Shroud continues to challenge both skeptics and believers• How physical evidence can strengthen—but never replace—faith in Christ No matter where you are in your faith journey, our hope is that this conversation leads you to the same place the Shroud points—to the life, death, and victorious resurrection of Jesus Christ. "These are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in His name." — John 20:31   Check out On The Line Podcast Resources & Links Active Skin Repair Use code BETHANY20 for 20% off your order. • Lean Into the Fear | Ashley Jones | Ep. 67 23.06.2026 50m
At just 14 years old, Ashley Jones faced unimaginable loss. After losing her arm in a traumatic accident, she lost her father only three months later. What followed was a journey marked by grief, faith, perseverance, and discovering that life could still be beautiful. In this episode of All Things Possible, Bethany sits down with elite runner and former collegiate athlete Ashley Jones to reflect on ten years of healing, the role that sports played in shaping resilience, and why some of life’s hardest moments require us to lean in rather than retreat. Together they discuss: Ashley’s traumatic accident and losing her dad just months later Finding hope and community through the Beautifully Flawed retreats Competing as a collegiate runner and overcoming injuries How sports teach discipline and perseverance Learning to embrace discomfort instead of running from it Navigating public attention and living with limb difference The faithfulness of God through seasons of suffering Why there is always hope, no matter where you are Whether you're walking through hardship, facing disappointment, or simply wondering what God is doing in your story, this conversation is a reminder that He is still writing something beautiful.   Resources & Links Active Skin Repair Use code BETHANY20 for 20% off your order. • Diving Deeper: Law & Gospel | Pastor Will |Ep. 66 16.06.2026 36m
Many Christians spend their lives asking, "Am I doing enough?" But what if that question misses the heart of Christianity altogether? In this episode of our Diving Deeper series, Pastor William Pierce joins us to unpack one of the most transformative concepts in Christian theology: Law and Gospel. Together we explore: • Why Christianity is primarily about what Jesus has done for us, not what we do for Him• The difference between God's commands and God's promises• How the Law exposes our need for a Savior• Why the Gospel brings true freedom and assurance• The role of the Holy Spirit in applying God's Word to our lives• Why good works can never be the foundation of our salvation• How understanding Law and Gospel changes the way we read Scripture If you've ever struggled with guilt, performance-based faith, or wondering where your assurance comes from, this conversation offers a deeper look at the good news of Jesus Christ and the freedom found in His finished work.   Resources & Links Active Skin Repair Use code BETHANY20 for 20% off your order. From the overwhelming influence of modern media to the timeless honesty of the Psalms, this conversation dives into what it means to wrestle with God, find hope in suffering, and remember that we are never alone. Pastor Will unpacks powerful biblical examples from David, Elijah, and Jacob, showing how God meets His people in seasons of fear, despair, and affliction—not with abandonment, but with faithfulness. This episode is a reminder to slow down, meditate on God’s Word, lean into Christian community, and trust that even in suffering, God is working for good through Christ. Scriptures Referenced Psalm 23 Various Psalms of David Elijah and the prophets of Baal (1 Kings 18–19) Jacob wrestling with God (Genesis 32) Romans 7 The Lord’s Prayer (Matthew 6) If this conversation encouraged you, share it with someone who may need hope today. • The Changing Digital World of Decentralized Social Media and Cryptocurrency | with Paul Keating | Ep. 56 13.02.2026 55m
In this episode, Bethany and Adam sit down with Paul Keating to talk about the broken state of social media and what a better future could look like. They get into how platforms like Instagram and Facebook profit off your attention through ads and addictive algorithms, why censorship on legacy platforms is a real problem (including what happened to Dr. Saladino during COVID), and how Primal - a social media app built on the open-source Nostr protocol - is trying to fix all of that by giving users full control over their feeds, no advertising model, and the ability to send real Bitcoin (called Zaps) directly to creators. The conversation naturally flows into Bitcoin itself - why it matters, how it differs from crypto, what sound money means, the debasement of the dollar, Bitcoin's humanitarian potential for the unbanked, and why Paul lives entirely on a Bitcoin standard in Costa Rica. They wrap up by recommending the book Thank God for Bitcoin and teasing a future deep-dive Bitcoin episode.   Guest Bio: Paul Keating is a builder at Primal, a social media app built on the decentralized Nostr protocol that lets users control their own feeds, own their data, and send Bitcoin directly to creators. A passionate Bitcoiner who lives fully on a Bitcoin standard in Costa Rica, Paul is also behind the upcoming documentary Hummingbird: The Bitcoin Jungle Story.   Resources & Links Paul Keating Website: https://www.hiimpaulk.com/ Primal: https://primal.net/home H2Tab (use code BETHANY for 10% off): affiliates.drinkh2tab.com/BETHANY Sharkbanz: https://www.sharkbanz.com   Connect with All Things Possible Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/SurferBethanyHamiltonInstagram: @bethanyhamiltonTikTok: @bethanyhamiltonofficialYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@TheBethanyHamiltonWebsite: https://bethanyhamilton.comThe Bethany Hamilton Network: https://bethanyhamilton.com/network
  • Diving Deeper: Union With Christ: How Jesus Meets Us Through Word and Sacrament | John Bombaro | Ep. 55 03.02.2026 1h 31m
In this Diving Deeper episode, Bethany and Adam sit down with Pastor John Bombaro for a rich and deep conversation about the physical and spiritual intimacy we’re invited into through Christ. They talk about how Jesus doesn’t just love us from a distance, He actually enters into our lives in real, tangible ways. From Holy Communion to baptism to the power of God’s Word, Pastor John unpacks what it means to be united with Christ, not just symbolically, but truly. They walk through John 6, the beauty of the incarnation, and why your body and what you do with it matter deeply to God. If you’ve ever wrestled with doubts, felt disconnected from your faith, or wondered if Jesus could really meet you where you are, this episode is for you. It’s a fresh reminder that God’s grace isn’t just an idea. It’s real. It’s embodied. And it’s for you.   Guest Bio: Pastor John Bombaro is the senior pastor of St. James Lutheran Church in Lafayette, Indiana, home to Purdue University. Formerly a missionary and church planter in Kauai, Hawaii, Pastor John holds advanced degrees in theology and has taught and served globally. He and his wife, Melinda, have four children and are celebrating 30 years of marriage. Known for his clarity, depth, and pastoral warmth, Pastor John has a passion for helping people experience the gospel not just intellectually but intimately—in heart, soul, and body.   Resources: Scripture References: John 6 (Bread of Life discourse) Leviticus 17 (the life is in the blood) Luke 24 (The Road to Emmaus) 1 Corinthians 11 (The Lord’s Supper) 2 John 7 (The continual coming of Christ in the flesh) Ephesians 5, Revelation 22, Acts 2, and more H2Tab (use code BETHANY for 10% off): affiliates.drinkh2tab.com/BETHANY Sharkbanz: https://www.sharkbanz.com   Connect with All Things Possible: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/SurferBethanyHamilton Instagram: @bethanyhamilton TikTok: @bethanyhamiltonofficial YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@TheBethanyHamilton Website: www.bethanyhamilton.com The Bethany Hamilton Network: https://bethanyhamilton.com/network
