  • Preface 14.09.2026 16m
Through this word, the Gospel of John clearly reveals the purpose of its writing. This Gospel calls us to know who Jesus is and, by believing in the heart the salvation He accomplished, to have life. Therefore, to read the Gospel of John is a journey of faith in which we meet the Lord of life and accept as our own salvation the salvation He accomplished with the water and the Spirit. https://www.bjnewlife.org/ https://youtube.com/@TheNewLifeMission https://www.facebook.com/shin.john.35
  • 01_General Introduction 14.09.2026 1h 51m
General Introduction. Who is the author of the Gospel of John? The author of the Gospel of John is the Apostle John, the son of Zebedee. He was one of the twelve disciples of Jesus, and he witnessed the Lord's ministry, the Cross, and the resurrection with his own eyes. The figure who appears in this Gospel as 'the disciple whom Jesus loved' is none other than the Apostle John, and John chapter twenty-one, verse twenty-four makes it clear that he is the disciple who testified of these things and wrote them down. https://www.bjnewlife.org/ https://youtube.com/@TheNewLifeMission https://www.facebook.com/shin.john.35
  • Ch01_01_Biblical Exposition_John Chapter 1 seen from the perspective of the gospel of the water and the Spirit 14.09.2026 1h 8m
John 1:1–4 proclaims that Jesus Christ is not a mere human being or a creature, but God who was with God from the beginning and created all things. If Genesis 1:1–5 shows the event in which God created the heavens and the earth by His word, the Gospel of John reveals that this Word of creation is none other than Jesus Christ. https://www.bjnewlife.org/ https://youtube.com/@TheNewLifeMission https://www.facebook.com/shin.john.35
  • Ch01_02_Questions and Answers on John Chapter 1 14.09.2026 41m
The words “In the beginning was the Word” mean that Jesus Christ already existed even before the heavens and the earth were created. Here, “The Word” does not refer simply to words that come out of the mouth or to an abstract idea. It refers to Jesus Christ, who was with God the Father and who Himself created all things by His word. The words that follow also make this clear. https://www.bjnewlife.org/ https://youtube.com/@TheNewLifeMission https://www.facebook.com/shin.john.35
  • Ch01_03_Sermon_God who revealed Himself by His word (John 1:1-13) 14.09.2026 45m
Dear fellow believers, how much you have labored! I give thanks that God has helped us until now and brought us this far, even in the midst of real hardship with so much to do. Today I would like to meditate on the word concerning God who revealed Himself by His word. https://www.bjnewlife.org/ https://youtube.com/@TheNewLifeMission https://www.facebook.com/shin.john.35
  • Ch01_04_Sermon_The true gospel that the Apostle John testifies of (John 1:6-13) 14.09.2026 35m
When we look at the word of 1 John 3:7–9, it is written as follows. “Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.” Just as verse 8 says, the Son of God was manifested in order to destroy the works of the devil. https://www.bjnewlife.org/ https://youtube.com/@TheNewLifeMission https://www.facebook.com/shin.john.35
  • Ch01_05_Sermon_Jesus Christ is the Lord of life (John 1:6-12) 14.09.2026 32m
We know well the word we have read. There was a man who came to bear witness of the Light, and that man is John the Baptist. Since it says that this man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe, it means that the first evangelist of the gospel is John the Baptist. It is because John the Baptist baptized Jesus and passed the sin of the world on to Jesus. He transferred the sin of the world to Jesus, and Jesus received the judgment for that sin on the Cross and rose from the dead and became our Savior. The one who took part in this ministry, that is, the ministry of Jesus, was John the Baptist, and it was God’s way that all people would come to believe in Jesus through John the Baptist testifying of Jesus. https://www.bjnewlife.org/ https://youtube.com/@TheNewLifeMission https://www.facebook.com/shin.john.35
  • Ch01_06_Sermon_The Lord who gave us the living hope of the resurrection (John 1:14-18) 14.09.2026 25m
The Apostle John, a disciple of Jesus, begins the word again in John 1:14. In chapter 1 verses 1 to 13, he testified that the Word was God, that the One who created the heavens and the earth is that Word, and that He is none other than Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Jesus Christ was with the Father and was also with the Holy Spirit. People did not recognize Him, but He was testified of through a man named John, whom God sent. It says, “He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name” (John 1:11–12). Becoming a child of God, becoming a worker of God, and becoming a person who enters the kingdom of heaven do not come about by blood or family line, but only through God. Only those whom God has newly begotten become the people of God. After delivering this word, the Apostle John sums it up once more in verses 14 to 18. https://www.bjnewlife.org/ https://youtube.com/@TheNewLifeMission https://www.facebook.com/shin.john.35
  • Ch01_07_Sermon_The testimony of the one sent from God (John 1:29-36) 14.09.2026 49m
Today we have looked at the word of John 1:29–36. Verse 29 says, “The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, ‘Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” John the Baptist, who baptized Jesus, testifies, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” Then where did Jesus go, bearing the sin of the world? He went to the Cross. https://www.bjnewlife.org/ https://youtube.com/@TheNewLifeMission https://www.facebook.com/shin.john.35
  • Ch01_08_Sermon_Those who became disciples through the testimony of John the Baptist (John 1:37-42) 14.09.2026 29m
Before we enter the text, let us look back at the preceding word. John the Baptist heard the voice of the Holy Spirit saying, “When you baptize, if you see the Spirit come upon someone, know that He is the Messiah who is to come.” And when he baptized, he saw the Spirit come upon the head of Jesus, and he knew that this One is none other than the Messiah. John the Baptist baptized Jesus and passed the sins of mankind on to Him, and the next day, seeing Jesus coming toward him, he testified, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” (John 1:29). It was the testimony that that One is none other than the Savior and the Messiah of Israel, the Son of God, and the Messiah who took charge of our sins with the baptism He received from John and would go to the Cross and receive the judgment for our sins. And again the next day, while he was with his disciples, he saw Jesus walking and testified, “Behold the Lamb of God!” (John 1:36), testifying as many as two times. https://www.bjnewlife.org/ https://youtube.com/@TheNewLifeMission https://www.facebook.com/shin.john.35
  • Ch02_01_Biblical Exposition_John Chapter 2 seen from the perspective of the gospel of the water and the Spirit 14.09.2026 31m
John 2:1–11 records the first sign, in which Jesus turned water into wine at the wedding feast in Cana of Galilee. This sign reveals that Jesus is not merely someone who performs miracles, but God who saves sinners from sin and gives them new life. https://www.bjnewlife.org/ https://youtube.com/@TheNewLifeMission https://www.facebook.com/shin.john.35
  • Ch02_02_Questions and Answers on John Chapter 2 14.09.2026 35m
John chapter 2 shows who Jesus is, centering on the events that took place at the wedding feast at Cana and in the temple in Jerusalem. First, at the wedding feast at Cana, when the wine ran out, Mary said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.” When the servants filled the stone waterpots with water according to the word of Jesus and took it to the master of the feast, the water turned into good wine. This was the first sign that Jesus performed, and it revealed His glory, and the disciples came to believe in Jesus. This event shows that the joy and ability that come from human beings can run out, but that Jesus gives new life and true joy to those who believe His word and obey it. https://www.bjnewlife.org/ https://youtube.com/@TheNewLifeMission https://www.facebook.com/shin.john.35
  • Ch02_03_Sermon_Believe the word given to the Church and experience the work of God (John 2:1-11) 14.09.2026 30m
I am continuing from the message of this afternoon. When is the time that the Lord works in you and me? The Lord works when we believe the word of the Lord, and when we believe the word He speaks through the servants of God. No matter how much you read the Bible by yourself, saying that you will live the life of faith alone, it is of no use. God works through the Church. And He absolutely does not work apart from the word of God. That is why there is a time for the sermon and a time for worship, and this is why you and I must worship several times even in one week. If we do not hear the word of God, if we do not unite with the work God wants to do through the Church of God and the servants of God, and if we do not believe with the heart, we cannot do the work of God. When we believe the word of God and believe the word that the servants of God preach, God works in the hearts of you and me and accomplishes His will. https://www.bjnewlife.org/ https://youtube.com/@TheNewLifeMission https://www.facebook.com/shin.john.35
  • Ch02_04_Sermon_Learn true faith through those who have gone ahead (John 2:1-11) 14.09.2026 28m
Today I would like to speak about the Kingdom of the Lord, where what comes later is better than the beginning. Usually, for people, the beginning is good and later things grow stale. It is mainly so with the things of the flesh. Whether it is possessions, honor, health, or love, in all the things of the world what comes later is more stale than the beginning. But in the Kingdom of God, what comes later is better than the beginning. We must know that this is the blessing God has bestowed on the Church. https://www.bjnewlife.org/ https://youtube.com/@TheNewLifeMission https://www.facebook.com/shin.john.35
  • Ch02_05_Sermon_Fill your heart full of the word of God (John 2:1-10) 14.09.2026 24m
Today’s message is about a wedding feast. That the wine ran out at a wedding feast is like something that often happens in human life. These days there would be no such thing, but in the old days, when people brewed liquor at home and served guests, it was something that could happen. Apart from this event, in our lives, though we prepare and strive to live well, something turns out to be lacking. Things happen such as running short of money or losing our health, and in the end our happiness is broken. There should be joy, as at a wedding feast, and we should live in joy all our lives, but failing to do so is the state of our lives. https://www.bjnewlife.org/ https://youtube.com/@TheNewLifeMission https://www.facebook.com/shin.john.35
  • Ch02_06_Sermon_The wine of the wedding feast, a life of faith better later than at the beginning (John 2:1-11) 14.09.2026 31m
That we have been protected and saved is because we have a heart that believes in God, respects and loves Him, and follows God alone. It is also because we believe what He has done. No matter how much you believe in the gospel of the water and the Spirit, it is of no use if you do not serve Him with a heart that follows God alone, and neither respect nor worship Him. To revere means to love, respect, and fear. We must respect, love, and fear God, the Absolute One, and know what kind of being we are before God. When we want to follow God alone, to believe in Him alone, and to serve Him alone, all the things the Lord did when He came to this earth and saved us with the gospel of the water and the Spirit truly become the food of life for us. https://www.bjnewlife.org/ https://youtube.com/@TheNewLifeMission https://www.facebook.com/shin.john.35
  • Ch03_01_Biblical Exposition_John Chapter 3 seen from the perspective of the gospel of the water and the Spirit 14.09.2026 44m
The reason Jesus said, “Unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God,” is that everyone born of the flesh has the nature of a sinner. No matter how much religious knowledge and how many good deeds one may have, a sinner cannot remove the sin of his heart or become a child of God by his own strength. Therefore, one must believe in the gospel of the water and the Spirit that Jesus accomplished, receive the remission of sin, and be born again with new life. https://www.bjnewlife.org/ https://youtube.com/@TheNewLifeMission https://www.facebook.com/shin.john.35
  • Ch03_02_Questions and Answers on John Chapter 3 14.09.2026 45m
John chapter 3 is the core chapter of the gospel that reveals how a person enters the kingdom of God and obtains eternal life. Nicodemus was a Pharisee and a ruler of the Jews, and he even acknowledged the signs of Jesus, but he did not know the truth of being born again. Therefore, a person is not saved by religious position, knowledge of the Scriptures, or the efforts of the flesh, but must be born anew. Jesus said, “Unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God” (John 3:5). https://www.bjnewlife.org/ https://youtube.com/@TheNewLifeMission https://www.facebook.com/shin.john.35
  • Ch03_03_Sermon_You must surely believe the true love of the Lord and be born again (John 3:1-15) 14.09.2026 36m
There is an expression, “Truly dumbfounding,” and though there have been many people until now, this affair was truly astonishing. God said that He does not look at a person’s outward appearance but examines the center of the heart, and it was exactly like that. Along the way there were many strange things, too, but I covered them over again and again, thinking that it was probably human weakness or just personality. But I saw some people who were working in the church treating the working children harshly. Even when stacking a single item, the young workers trembled, saying that it had to be done exactly as they were told. I found that strange. The children who did not tremble even when I spoke trembled like aspen leaves when those people spoke. I did not teach that way, and Jesus did not teach us that way either. As far as possible, we must give freedom and give authority. Whether the items are stacked vertically or horizontally, if there is a better way, one can simply do it that way. So I rebuked them. I said, why do you treat the children harshly, are you a god, shouldn’t you give the children a certain amount of freedom? I had told them to guide the children in skills, not to dominate even a person’s own authority. https://www.bjnewlife.org/ https://youtube.com/@TheNewLifeMission https://www.facebook.com/shin.john.35
  • Ch03_04_Sermon_Engrave the unchanging love of the Lord on your heart (John 3:1-17) 14.09.2026 24m
It is good to see you. You have been working hard, and since it is the change of seasons, you must take care of your health. When the seasons change, many illnesses arise in the body and diseases go around. Our bodies need a lot of strength to adapt, so we must prepare well and keep our bodies warm. In our hearts, too, we must gain strength by thinking that the Lord will bless us and by looking forward to the warm season that is coming. It seems the winter has now completely passed. After the cold snap comes once or twice, the spring rain will come, the forsythia and the azaleas will bloom, and in a little while it will be the summer retreat. Before then, I know that we must diligently do the work of serving as the flower-calyx by faith. We are also preparing the church site. First we will contract for the land and pick it out, and when the money comes in later, we plan to build the building. Looking at the mission news, even in one week e-books and paper books have kept going out in the languages of many countries, and countless visitors have received books from the website. Also, many people overseas have sent in their testimonies. The overseas mission is proceeding without rest. https://www.bjnewlife.org/ https://youtube.com/@TheNewLifeMission https://www.facebook.com/shin.john.35
